Chapter 1999: Chapter 2000: Her Young Master Seems a Bit Shameless Now

When it was time for breakfast, Su Yixing personally brought a bowl of porridge and sat by the bedside to feed it to Huo Qingyi.

”Young Master, I can drink it myself.” Huo Qingyi was already sitting up. Although her body was still very sore, she had no problem eating by herself.

”What did you call me?”

Without waiting for Huo Qingyi to answer, Su Yixing added, ”There’s no one else here, just the two of us.”

Huo Qingyi understood and quickly corrected herself, ”Husband.”

Su Yixing was satisfied and then smiled, ”Since I’m free anyway, I’ll feed you.”

Seeing that Su Yixing was still unwilling to let her drink the porridge herself, Huo Qingyi didn’t say anything more, allowing Su Yixing to feed her spoonful by spoonful.

...

Since they had already gone through the wedding ceremony and were officially married, Su Yixing had no intention of sleeping in separate rooms from Huo Qingyi. Therefore, he either slept with Huo Qingyi in her room or had Huo Qingyi sleep with him in his room.

”Qingyi, come here, drink this bowl of chicken soup.”

On this day, while Huo Qingyi was tidying up the room, Su Yixing came over carrying a bowl of chicken soup, urging Huo Qingyi to drink it.

Since they had gone through their wedding ceremony, Su Yixing had been even kinder to her. They had been married for half a month, and during this time, he had been very attentive, although it sometimes left her with a cold heart.

As Huo Qingyi obediently drank the chicken soup, she said, ”Husband, if you keep nourishing me like this every day, if I’m not someone who easily conceives, wouldn’t all this nourishment be wasted?”

Su Yixing’s smile froze for a moment, ”What do you mean?”

Seeing him ask this, Huo Qingyi became puzzled, ”Didn’t you say you wanted me to give you a child?”

Only then did Su Yixing recall the lie he told her on their wedding night. Simultaneously, he realized she was misunderstanding, believing he was nourishing her to help her conceive a child soon.

”I’m only providing nourishment to make your body healthier, not to prepare you for having a child soon,” Su Yixing explained.

Huo Qingyi was even more puzzled, ”Didn’t you marry me because you wanted me to give you children?”

Su Yixing immediately raised his voice, ”I’ve changed my mind now. I just want you to regain your health. What’s wrong with that?”

Huo Qingyi: ”...” She felt like her Young Master seemed a bit shameless. No, her husband.

Seeing that Huo Qingyi was just looking at him without saying a word and not drinking the chicken soup, Su Yixing urged, ”Why are you just staring at me? Hurry up and drink it. You need to finish it all.”

”Okay.” Huo Qingyi nodded and continued drinking the chicken soup. However, her mood was much better than before.

He wasn’t in a hurry for children, so she felt less pressured.

Just as Huo Qingyi was about to finish the chicken soup, Su Yixing took out a Blue Jade Plum Blossom Hairpin from his pocket and said a bit regretfully, ”You still need to pretend to be a maiden and can’t do up your hair. Keep this hairpin for now, and use it when you can do up your hair later.”

”Thank you, husband.” These days, Su Yixing often gave her gifts. Huo Qingyi was used to it, so she didn’t refuse. She accepted the hairpin, thanked him, and put it into the jewelry box.

She didn’t particularly like wearing jewelry, but she had a lot, mostly gifts from Su Yixing.

Su Yixing chuckled, ”You’re getting more comfortable calling me husband.”

He genuinely enjoyed when she called him husband; it warmed his heart.

Huo Qingyi didn’t laugh; she felt it was quite normal. She had been calling him that for so many days. Even if she wasn’t used to it initially, she became accustomed over time, and it naturally rolled off her tongue.
