Chapter 1997: Chapter 1998: Wedding Ceremony?

”Alright,” Su Yixing looked at Huo Qingyi in her red attire with satisfaction, ”you can bring the dishes in now.”

Huo Qingyi then went to the door to let the waiters serve the dishes.

Because of the screen, the waiters couldn’t see Su Yixing in red inside, only Huo Qingyi in her red dress.

Seeing Huo Qingyi in her red dress, the waiters all praised, ”Shopkeeper, you look beautiful in red.”

Huo Qingyi wasn’t really good at handling interpersonal relationships, and when people praised her, she didn’t know how to respond, so she just smiled politely.

This was the first time the waiters saw Huo Qingyi smile, and they couldn’t help but be a little entranced, thinking that the shopkeeper looked even prettier when she smiled.

Huo Qingyi didn’t think too much of it or pay much attention. Once she saw the waiters had arranged the food and wine, she dismissed them.

Glancing at the delicious food and wine on the table, Huo Qingyi then walked around the screen and said to Su Yixing, ”Young Master, the food is ready, when would you like to eat?”

Su Yixing didn’t speak, he merely took her hand and walked her around the screen again. He first closed the door, then continued to lead Huo Qingyi, without even sparing the sumptuous meal a glance, walked to the window and pushed it open.

Night had fallen deeply, with no stars in sight, but a crescent moon hung bright and clear.

Su Yixing first looked at the moon, then said to Huo Qingyi, ”From now on, just do what I do, don’t ask anything, just follow along.”

”Yes, Young Master.” Huo Qingyi obediently replied.

Su Yixing nodded in satisfaction, and first knelt down before the window where the sky was visible. Following his lead, Huo Qingyi quickly knelt down too.

Su Yixing bowed to heaven and earth, and Huo Qingyi, a step behind, promptly followed suit.

Su Yixing then knelt toward where Xiyun was, where his parents were, and bowed.

Huo Qingyi knelt and bowed as well.

And the more she knelt and bowed, the more she seemed to realize something, and Huo Qingyi’s brow furrowed.

Subsequently, Su Yixing took Huo Qingyi to kneel facing each other, bowing to each other...

”Young Master, what is this...” Finally, Huo Qingyi couldn’t hold back anymore. Wasn’t this a wedding ceremony?

Su Yixing wasn’t very pleased and said, ”Don’t talk, just bow.”

Huo Qingyi was used to listening to Su Yixing, and even though she couldn’t understand why he was doing the wedding ceremony with her, she still lowered her head and continued, completing the couple’s bow.

Once they stood up, Su Yixing took Huo Qingyi to sit at the table. He picked up the wine pot and poured two cups of wine.

One cup for Huo Qingyi, and the other for himself.

”Here, drink.” Su Yixing had the look of someone about to drink a nuptial cup.

Huo Qingyi: ”...”

”Drink.” Su Yixing’s tone carried a hint of displeasure again.

Huo Qingyi could only obediently pick up the wine cup, and alongside Su Yixing, drink the nuptial cup.

After drinking the nuptial wine, Su Yixing smiled, ”Eat some more, after a while, we’ll consummate the marriage.” Saying this, he started serving Huo Qingyi quite a bit of food.

”Young Master, this...” Huo Qingyi hesitated, but finally voiced her concern, ”Weren’t you going to marry Miss Lele? Why are you doing the wedding ceremony with your subordinate now?”

”Lele is my third brother’s, she will be my third sister-in-law, there’s no way I’d steal my third brother’s woman.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Qingyi assumed Su Yixing still liked Gong Le, but due to considering An Yiqing, and since Gong Le also liked An Yiqing, he didn’t compete with An Yiqing for Gong Le.
