Chapter 1992: Chapter 1993: Long Time No See

At this moment, a waiter from the Friends Return Inn approached, ”Sir, are you here to rest or to stay overnight?”

The waiter, the cooks, and others at the Friends Return Inn were people from the Slayer Tower. However, because Nan Chi was far from the main base of the Slayer Tower, although everyone knew there was a young master named Su Yixing, they didn’t realize that the person in front of them was their young master, Su Yixing.

The waiter merely assumed that Su Yixing was an ordinary guest. No, an ordinary but exceptionally handsome guest.

Su Yixing did not answer the waiter but entered the Friends Return Inn, walked up to the counter, and instead of calling out to Huo Qingyi, he simply stood in front of the counter, waiting for her to notice him.

Huo Qingyi was still focused on her accounts, completely unmindful of her surroundings, and naturally did not notice that Su Yixing had arrived.

The waiter, on the other hand, curiously looked at Su Yixing standing still in front of the counter, gazing at Huo Qingyi, and after a while, he approached and asked again, ”Sir, are you here to rest or stay overnight?”

Su Yixing still did not answer.

The waiter found it even more peculiar and followed Su Yixing’s gaze towards Huo Qingyi while saying, ”That’s our shopkeeper. Everyone thinks she’s attractive, but sir, you can’t stare so openly; it’s too improper. Even though our shopkeeper is accustomed to public attention, she’s still a young lady.”

Su Yixing merely smiled without speaking.

Seeing that Su Yixing still didn’t answer, the waiter scratched his head, looking indecisive about what to do.

Just as the waiter decided to leave Su Yixing alone and went to attend to other guests, Su Yixing finally spoke, ”I would like a room.”

That voice...

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Huo Qingyi’s hand stopped on the abacus, and she quickly looked up, meeting Su Yixing’s gaze, utterly surprised, ”Young—”

”Miss Huo, long time no see.” Su Yixing cut off Huo Qingyi’s words, clearly indicating for her not to reveal his identity.

Huo Qingyi immediately understood, correcting herself, ”Mr. An.”

Previously, when Su Yixing didn’t want others to know his identity, he would use his mother’s surname, claiming his name was An Yixing.

”Long time no see.” Those four words Huo Qingyi spoke were somewhat dry, carrying a slight bitter taste only she could sense.

”So the guest knows our manager!” the waiter exclaimed in surprise. ”Shopkeeper, this guest wishes to stay overnight.”

Huo Qingyi replied, ”Understood, go attend to the other guests.”

”Alright!”

After the waiter left, Huo Qingyi put down the abacus and account book and stepped out from behind the counter.

”Mr. An, please follow me.” Huo Qingyi made a gesture inviting him to follow her upstairs.

Su Yixing, however, didn’t move and smiled, ”You’re letting me go up without asking what kind of room I want?”

Huo Qingyi was momentarily stunned, then dutifully asked, ”I wonder which room Mr. An would like? Our inn offers rooms with Sky, Earth, and Human grades, along with shared lofts, storage rooms, and a stable.”

”Stable?” Su Yixing raised an eyebrow, ”You want me to stay in the stable? Miss Huo, you really are...”

Huo Qingyi immediately panicked and quickly said, ”I didn’t mean it that way. I’m just describing all the places where people can stay, like always. It’s up to you to choose, Mr. An.”

Su Yixing smiled, ”Which room are you staying in?”

Huo Qingyi replied honestly, ”Earth Grade Room No. 1.”

”And which one is next to you?”

”Earth Grade Room No. 3.”

”Then I’ll take Earth Grade Room No. 3,” Su Yixing said decisively and straightforwardly.
