Chapter 1963: Chapter 1964: Thanks to the Young Master’s Generosity

”I don’t know how to express it, it feels like two different atmospheres.” After a pause, ”(Your) parents treated me well, they helped me with the dishes. Your brothers were also good to me, encouraging me to eat more.”

Su Yixing paused for a moment, then smiled and said, ”No one helped you with the dishes today? Encouraged you to eat more?”

Huo Qingyi honestly shook her head, ”No.”

”So you like celebrating the New Year at my house?”

”I guess so.”

”What do you mean ’I guess so’?” Su Yixing was unhappy again.

Huo Qingyi immediately replied, ”Yes!”

Su Yixing was satisfied and smiled, ”Did you eat enough at the New Year’s dinner?”

”Yes, I did.”

Su Yixing put down the hand he’d just finished applying frostbite ointment on and reached for Huo Qingyi’s other hand, but he didn’t rush to apply the ointment. Instead, he lifted his gaze and stared at Huo Qingyi.

Huo Qingyi didn’t understand why Su Yixing was staring at her, but she didn’t ask.

It was Su Yixing who eventually spoke again, casually saying, ”During dinner today, Lele asked me to marry her, and I agreed.”

Huo Qingyi immediately responded joyfully, ”Congratulations, Young Master! Best wishes, Young Master!”

Su Yixing’s heart sank instantly, his face turned dark, ”Take the ointment and get out.”

Huo Qingyi didn’t understand what she did wrong but obediently took the frostbite ointment from Su Yixing and walked out.

If this were the first time Su Yixing told her to get out, she might have taken it literally, but it wasn’t the first time he’d said that to her. She still recalled not knowing what she’d done wrong back then, Su Yixing got mad and told her to get out, and she obediently squatted down, planning to roll out, only to be severely chastised by Su Yixing. That’s when she realized that when Su Yixing said ’get out,’ he meant ’leave.’

So, this time, she just walked out, avoiding getting scolded by Su Yixing again.

As soon as Huo Qingyi stepped out, she didn’t go anywhere but stayed by Su Yixing’s door. Despite having the ointment, she didn’t apply it to her other hand, instead, she kept the ointment in a secret pocket, intending to apply it after her night watch.

Su Yixing was still angry.

Glaring at the shadow of Huo Qingyi through the door, Su Yixing grew even more upset. How did he end up liking someone so clueless?

But with the freezing cold outside, Su Yi Jing couldn’t bear to leave Huo Qingyi standing there, and soon enough, Su Yi Jing let Huo Qingyi back in and personally applied the ointment to her other hand.

Once both of Huo Qingyi’s hands were coated with the frostbite ointment, Su Yi Jing looked up and said to Huo Qingyi standing before him, ”Don’t make me angry in the future.”

”Yes, Young Master.”

”You agreed so quickly, do you even know what made me angry?”

”I do not know.”

”Then why are you—” Su Yixing flared up again, but then forced himself to calm down, ”Alright, it’s New Year, I won’t bother with this now.”

Though she still didn’t know what she’d done wrong, Huo Qingyi quickly said, ”Thank you, Young Master, for being so magnanimous.”

Su Yixing felt stifled again, unable to hold back and asked, ”Do you really have no other feelings for me?”

”What feelings?” Huo Qingyi was bewildered.

Feeling embarrassed and realizing she probably had no special feelings for him, Su Yixing shouted in frustration, ”Nothing then!”

”Yes, Young Master.”

”...Go back to your room and rest, I don’t want to see you now.”

”Yes, Young Master.”
