Chapter 1964: Chapter 1965: Between You and Him...

After Huo Qingyi left, Su Yixing kicked over the round stool closest to him.

He was genuinely furious with Huo Qingyi!

After a while, Su Yixing’s anger subsided. Once he calmed down, he went to his desk and began writing a letter to his parents, informing them of his and Gong Le’s marriage plans.

Of course, he also specifically wrote a separate letter to An Yiqing.

Early the next morning, Su Yixing had someone send these two letters.

...

Three days flashed by.

On this day, the fourth day of the lunar new year, Su Yixing was taking a midday nap in his room, while Huo Qingyi was guarding in the hall outside his door.

”Qingyi, the Building Master is looking for you, he wants you to go see him immediately.” Suddenly, a door person from the Slayer Tower arrived, lowered his voice, and told Huo Qingyi that Gong Juechen was looking for her.

Huo Qingyi didn’t ask the door person why Gong Juechen was calling her, she hurried to meet Gong Juechen.

Gong Juechen was in the study of his courtyard, and once Huo Qingyi entered, a single look from Gong Juechen prompted the person guarding outside to quickly close the study door from the outside.

Huo Qingyi was quite curious as to why the door had to be closed, but she didn’t ask for an explanation. In her view, since the Building Master Gong Juechen had called her over, whatever the matter was, Gong Juechen would certainly tell her, so there was no need to ask.

”Do you know why I called you here?” Gong Juechen sat there leisurely, tapping the table with one hand.

Commanding respect without anger.

Huo Qingyi respectfully replied, ”I don’t know.”

Gong Juechen finally said, ”Actually, it’s nothing much. I was planning to assign you to a different task. Previously, I had you serve my disciple because I wanted you to take good care of him. Now that he has grown up and is about to get engaged to my daughter, I don’t want unrelated girls around him anymore.”

Huo Qingyi asked, ”What kind of different task does the Building Master plan to assign to me?”

Seeing that Huo Qingyi showed no dissatisfaction, Gong Juechen was very pleased and smiled, ”The Southern Chi Sub-Rudder is short of staff; it would be perfect for you to go there.”

After a pause, he instructed, ”You must not let my disciple know about your whereabouts, and you must not leave in front of him. You have to leave secretly, understand?”

”Understood, Building Master, please rest assured.”

Gong Juechen was even more satisfied. After a moment, he asked curiously, ”What exactly is the relationship between you and my disciple?”

In his view, she didn’t seem like a maid or guard to his disciple, nor did she appear to be genuinely in love with his disciple.

The only thing he was sure of was that his disciple definitely liked her.

Huo Qingyi said, ”Naturally, it is the relationship between master and subordinate. Now that the Building Master is transferring me to the Southern Chi Sub-Rudder, the Young Master naturally is no longer my master.”

Seeing that Huo Qingyi didn’t seem to be lying, Gong Juechen understood that Su Yixing had been in unrequited love all along.

But it’s just as well; if he were to separate a pair of mutually affectionate people, he would feel guiltier.

Thinking this, Gong Juechen smiled again, ”You will be the manager at Southern Chi. Once there, you will report only to me about everything that happens.”

”Yes, Building Master!” After a pause, Huo Qingyi asked, ”When should I leave for Southern Chi?”

”It’s up to you, but by tomorrow morning I don’t want to see you lingering around the Slayer Tower headquarters anymore.” In other words, she had to leave the Slayer Tower headquarters before the next morning.

”Yes, Building Master!” Huo Qingyi had no objections.

After leaving Gong Juechen, Huo Qingyi went back to Su Yixing’s place, and the closer she got to Su Yixing’s courtyard, the inexplicably lower her spirits became.
