Chapter 1998: Chapter 1999: I Want a Child

”Why is the Young Master having a wedding with his subordinate?” Huo Qingyi asked again, appearing calm in tone, but her heart was indeed full of bitterness.

She never thought she would marry, and even less thought she would marry someone who had another woman in his heart.

If Huo Qingyi liked her, at this moment, Su Yixing would certainly say with great frankness that it was because he liked Huo Qingyi that he was having a wedding with her.

But Su Yixing didn’t think Huo Qingyi liked him yet, and he felt it was embarrassing to have an unrequited love, so he laughed and said, ”I want to have a child, and you’re the only girl around me, so just have one for me.”

Huo Qingyi’s heart ached for a moment, although she didn’t quite understand what hurt, but it was real pain.

Seeing Huo Qingyi not speaking, Su Yixing asked, ”Unwilling?”

Huo Qingyi shook her head and said, ”You are my master, the master wants the subordinate to have a child for him, naturally, I am willing.”

Hearing Huo Qingyi still treating him as a master, Su Yixing felt very uncomfortable, so he said, ”Don’t see me as your master anymore. Since we have already had a wedding, we are husband and wife. From now on, call me ’husband’. By the way, for now, we have to keep our marriage a secret, no one else can know.”

He married her just to prevent his master from ruining things between him and her in the future. Now she was his wife, and since he was his master’s apprentice, his master wouldn’t break them up anymore.

As to why it had to be a secret, the reason was simple: he had promised his master that he would only marry after at least two years so that his master could keep his precious daughter Gong Le with him for a while longer.

His master genuinely didn’t want Gong Le to marry too early.

Without waiting for Huo Qingyi to speak, Su Yixing said, ”Here’s how we will do it, call me ’husband’ when no one is around, and just the way you used to when others are present.”

”Yes, Youn...husband.”

Su Yixing nodded with satisfaction and then smiled, urging, ”Hurry and eat.”

Only then did Huo Qingyi pick up her chopsticks and begin to eat the food Su Yixing had placed in her bowl.

Before, when she ate the food Su Yixing served her, her heart was warm, but today, eating the food he served, her heart was ice-cold.

Initially, Su Yixing planned to wait until the day Huo Qingyi liked him before he would really be with her, but now that they had already had a wedding, he changed his mind and planned to consummate the marriage with Huo Qingyi that night.

Such a simple ceremony, without a single guest, he knew it wronged Huo Qingyi, but he already made up his mind to have a proper ceremony in the future and make up for it with a grand wedding.

...

The next day, when Su Yixing woke up, he saw Huo Qingyi already awake, staring blankly at the ceiling, which made him ask involuntarily, ”What’s wrong?”

Huo Qingyi was taken aback, then shook her head at him, indicating nothing was wrong.

Su Yixing didn’t mind, instead, he kissed Huo Qingyi before getting up. Seeing her follow him out of bed, he gently pressed her back down, ”You had a tough time last night, why don’t you rest today.”

Huo Qingyi rarely blushed.

It was a rare sight for Su Yixing to see her blush, and now that he saw it, he couldn’t help but feel his heart itch. He leaned in and kissed her for a long time before leaving her lips to continue getting dressed.

As the saying goes, when people have something happy, they are in high spirits; indeed, Su Yixing felt very happy now.

Huo Qingyi wasn’t particularly happy or unhappy, remaining as she always was, aloof to others but exceptionally obedient and compliant with Su Yixing.
