Chapter 1388: Chapter 1389: It’s Really So Ugly!

Li Wuyu heard and came over, saying, ”Deputy General, my frostbite is also very serious.”

Both of Li Wuyu’s hands are now swollen and red from frostbite, looking like two bloody buns. Her frostbite is indeed very severe. The frostbite cream prepared by her father and husband has already been used up. At first, the frostbite healed, but after a day, due to the severe cold weather, she got frostbite again.

Although she loves to play and go out, she has never stayed outside during the harsh winter months before.

This is the first time she has had frostbite so severe that even Li Wuyu herself doesn’t want to look at her own hands and feet.

Really too ugly!

Initially, she thought she wouldn’t get frostbite because she never had it before. So, when her father and husband prepared a lot of frostbite cream for her, asking her to take it, she refused to obey and didn’t want to bring it. Now, she feels she brought too little. It’s all used up.

She really hopes her father and husband can send her some more frostbite cream through someone.

No wonder Li Wuyu tried to share some of the frostbite cream when she saw Ye Zhi giving it to Shi Shi.

Upon hearing Li Wuyu’s words, Ye Zhi immediately smiled and said, ”Then you and Shi Shi use it together.”

Li Wuyu instantly smiled happily, ”Thank you, Deputy General!”

Shi Shi was initially hesitant to accept Ye Zhi’s frostbite cream. Now that this frostbite cream is considered a rare item in the military camp, and Ye Zhi’s frostbite hasn’t healed, if their Building Master knew, she would be in trouble.

But now, with Li Wuyu stepping in and wanting to use it with her... Shi Shi had no choice but to accept the frostbite cream from Ye Zhi with a stiffened resolve.

The bottle of frostbite cream from Ye Zhi was given to her by Gong Juechen. It’s now gone, and she hadn’t used it for three days. Ye Zhi’s hands and feet are covered with frostbite because of the cold.

Ye Zhi had done cold resistance training in the modern world, but the winter here is really too cold, and with the daily travel in the severe cold, she’s not surprised to have gotten frostbite like this.

She doesn’t know if it’s because she’s so uncomfortable with the cold that she hasn’t had time to care about anything else. When Ye Zhi saw Gong Juechen laughing and talking with other female soldiers again, she actually didn’t feel any pangs of emotion inside.

She was completely calm, as if it had nothing to do with her at all.

That day, as soon as it got dark, they set up camp again.

Ye Zhi had just finished setting up her small tent and squeezed in. Then she spread herself out and lay down, looking at the top of the tent, letting out a long breath. Because of the cold weather, her breath came out like white mist.

Quite tired and very cold.

Ye Zhi simply pulled the quilt over herself, wrapping up tightly.

Once she was warmed inside the quilt, her frostbitten hands and feet became itchier, unbearably so, very uncomfortable.

Then, she simply exposed her hands and feet out of the quilt, and the cold weather quickly made them cold. Soon, her frostbitten hands and feet weren’t as itchy.

Lifting her hand, she looked at her swollen, blood-bun-like hands, and suddenly felt complicated inside.

After a while, she calmly lowered her hand, lying on her back, quietly watching the tent.

Thinking that now Xiao Changyi is probably applying frostbite ointment on An Jing’s hands and feet, while she lies here alone, with no one to care for or look after her...

Ye Zhi is truly envious of An Jing.

Xiao Changyi seems very reliable, and most importantly, he loves An Jing enough.

Ye Zhi also yearns for someone like that, but now, this longing has faded a lot. Instead, loneliness has grown rampantly, making her feel increasingly lonely.
