Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 550: Chapter 373 Blending In_2

But without a doubt, all seven of them are our own people!

The green iron armor they wear, Xu Xin is quite familiar with it. Some even hold blue axes as weapons, probably thinking that blue axes are more powerful than green weapons.

However, why are there so many?

Did seven people come together? Or...

Just then, a commotion erupted on the other side of the wolf pack.

From several hundred meters away, he heard angry, terrified shouts of a man and the screams of a woman coming from the other side of the wolf pack.

There were also a few wolf howls.

A few seconds later, the wolf pack in that direction parted to make a path, forcing and coaxing two survivors into retreating towards the center of the encirclement.

Eventually, they too reached the center of the wolf pack, completely surrounded, with no way to retreat.

No wonder there are so many people!

They didn’t come together; it’s the work of this wolf pack!

They’re gathering survivors!

Or perhaps the person controlling the wolf pack wants to gather them together for some unknown purpose.

Xu Xin had already slid to a close proximity of about fifty meters and stopped.

Using the ability of the Concealer’s Cloak, he hid himself and quietly observed.

He didn’t act rashly.

Because he found that the wolf pack seemed to simply encircle this group of people, each with a ferocious expression and bared fangs, yet they had no intention to attack.

Nine survivors may seem like a lot, but without a powerful fighter among them, any ordinary survivor facing over two hundred wolves is as good as dead if they make a move.

But they weren’t dead, just surrounded.

These wolves, or the people behind them, didn’t seem to want to harm them for the moment.

If Xu Xin acted rashly, it might instead cause them harm.

He looked around in all directions but saw no trace of the furry freaks.

”Ying...” Keke’s eyes were slightly wide as she looked ahead, perhaps having discovered something, her small head slightly shrinking.

With a thought, a map appeared in his mind.

Lou Fei’Er was about two kilometers from the wolf pack on his side, standing still.

She must have encountered something as well, relying on the Concealer’s Cloak to hide, waiting for the right moment.

The situation on Ji Chaoyang’s side was somewhat similar to his.

The red dots there formed a ring, leaving the middle empty, and Ji Chaoyang was also observing the wolf pack from the perimeter, not moving.

At this moment, an explorer spoke up.

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”What’s going on here? The wolf pack on this side has surrounded all the survivors! And there are no furry freaks in this wolf pack either, right?”

Wen Guixin: ”They’ve slowly forced all the passing survivors into the encirclement, now enclosing eight people! I’m a bit hesitant to act; I feel like if I use mental toxins, I might accidentally harm those surrounded in the middle. What should we do?”

Xu Xin squinted his eyes.

He had a good idea.

”Blend in.” He said softly.

Ji Chaoyang: ”... Good idea.”

Wen Guixin: ”What do you mean? Blend in with whom?”

Xu Xin’s solution was simple.

Since these wolf packs didn’t want to kill survivors for the time being but rather encircle them, it was easy.

He himself was a survivor.

If he got encircled, he could protect them much better.

He could even directly pull them into his bracelet and break out himself.

Within the wolf pack, the emotions of the ten survivors grew increasingly unstable.

Their numbers gave them courage, and they began to stir, wanting to attempt breaking through the wolf pack.

But with over two hundred mutant snow wolves, even if they were all low-level mutants, ten ordinary survivors attempting to break through would inevitably result in leaving a few behind, even if they succeeded.

No, he had to act quickly.

Wiping away the smartwatch’s projection, Xu Xin removed the Concealer’s Hood he wore and put it in his backpack, then slowly slid forward.

His presence was immediately detected by the wolf pack.

In an instant, dozens of mutant snow wolves surrounded him, blocking his path from all directions, leaving only the direction towards the center of the wolf pack.

The dozens of mutant snow wolves bared their sharp fangs at him, growling from all directions.

Some even drooled crystalline saliva, eyes gleaming with fierce red light, the blood-streaks on their bodies glowing conspicuously against the snow, emanating formidable intimidation.

If he didn’t have the absolute strength to deal with these wolves, he would have definitely been scared to turn and run, only to be driven into the encirclement.

However, he wasn’t new to seeing wolf pack attacks.

You know what they say, a barking dog doesn’t bite.

A wolf pack truly intending to attack doesn’t usually bare their fangs and growl collectively.

When a wolf pack attacks, the Wolf King gives an order, and the pack silently and swiftly begins a surrounding chase.

This scenario means the wolves either feel threatened or simply don’t want to fight but are intimidating the enemy.

Once he was sure these wolves wouldn’t attack, he turned and charged towards the interior of the wolf pack’s encirclement.

”Ying! Yingying!” Seeing Xu Xin heading into the wolf pack with her, Keke panicked, pushing Xu Xin’s cheek with her little paw, ”Yingyingying!”
