Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 527: Chapter 360 The Strange Shadow in the Jungle_2

Xu Xin raised his watch and checked the number of people in Section 189.

There are still over 700 people left now.

After the defense battle ended, he remembered Wang Lei had chatted with the people from Section 189, that was when they learned Section 189 still had fifteen or sixteen hundred people left, much stronger than Section 187.

But now, only over 700 people remain.

Still, over 700 people is quite a lot; ranked 32nd among all areas, that’s not too bad, still stronger than Section 187, which now has only over 300 people left.

”Let’s go back for now.”

He doesn’t have any extra coordinates right now, he needs to return to his treehouse to make four more coordinates so he can come back and set up the treehouses for the others.

The portal activated earlier had closed automatically due to inactivity.

Just then, a surge of purple-black energy gathered, and a portal exit appeared.

The vortex rippled, Li Wenxi jumped out from inside, seeing Xu Xin standing next to the coordinates she exclaimed and leaped into his arms.

She immediately looked around and then marveled, ”It really teleported here! Oh hey, are you Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu? Hello!”

”It’s Li Wenxi, right? Hello.” Qin Yunlong greeted her with a smile, and Qin Yunhu nodded from the other side.

”What about me, what about me? Aren’t you going to greet me?” Zhao Xiaochuan pointed at his nose.

”Didn’t we just meet?”

”So, why did you come over?” Xu Xin pinched her cheek and asked.

Li Wenxi got up from his arms, ”It’s because you set up a portal and never came! Sister Gui Xin and Wang Lei are curious about the portal, but they don’t have wristbands to teleport, so they sent me to ask you to make them wristbands.”

Exactly, he connected the coordinates from over there to his treehouse, and a portal exit appeared, naturally attracting others’ attention.

But until the portal closed, he hadn’t teleported over; Li Wenxi naturally came looking for him.

”Alright, let’s hurry back.”

”Oh oh... Oh? But I just got here.” Li Wenxi quickly looked around, ”Is this Sister Gui Xin’s treehouse? It doesn’t look much different from mine, but there are so many pine trees around!”

”It’s nighttime, and you still want to explore? Let’s go back first, and if you want to explore, we’ll do it tomorrow. I still need to make coordinates. Do you have enough materials? We need to make four coordinates now.”

”Four? Totally enough, plenty of materials!”

Xu Xin immediately touched the metal column, activating the purple-black vortex, then turned to look at the other three: ”Are you coming too?”

”Of course!” Zhao Xiaochuan immediately said, ”I’ve never seen Brother Xin’s purple grade treehouse! Speaking of which, going over to Brother Chaoyang’s side must be convenient too, I want to check it all out!”

Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu also nodded, indicating they were going as well.

”Just put the wristbands in your backpack, no need to hold them all the time, also...” Xu Xin reminded the three, ”The first transmission will be very uncomfortable, causing dizziness and nausea like severe seasickness or car sickness, be mentally prepared.”

”Exactly!” Li Wenxi nodded in agreement, ”Back then, I couldn’t even stand! But you’ll get used to it after teleporting a few times.”

The three looked at each other, surprised by the side effects.

Xu Xin didn’t waste any more time and stepped into the portal, with Li Wenxi following closely behind.

”I’ll go first.” Qin Yunlong didn’t hesitate anymore, stepped straight in, and the remaining two followed behind him, disappearing into the portal.

...

In the forest a hundred meters from Wen Guixin’s treehouse, a fur-covered figure peeked out from behind a tree and saw everything. Its mouth moved slightly, then it flashed into the forest, disappearing swiftly.

...

When Xu Xin and Li Wenxi stepped out of the portal, Wang Lei, Wen Guixin, Lou Fei’Er, and Qi Xuefei were all gathered by the coordinates, and a small circle of snow around them had been cleared.

”Brr!” Keke was the first to leap onto Xu Xin, quickly scrambling up to his shoulder.

”You little guy.” Xu Xin scratched its chin.

”Brr~” Keke rubbed Xu Xin’s face.

”Really came back!” Wen Guixin’s eyes lit up, and she clapped her hands, ”My treehouse is really connected to this side!”

Zhao Xiaochuan and the Qin Yunlong brothers emerged next, and just as they did, all three of them staggered and fell to the ground.

”Wow... Ugh... I actually experienced seasickness in this world...” Zhao Xiaochuan slumped to the ground, his face pale, ”The transmission array never had this feeling...”

”Really uncomfortable...” Qin Yunlong rubbed his head, ”Haha... My entrance was pretty embarrassing...”

”I... Ugh...” Qin Yunhu wanted to say something, but was interrupted by retching.

”What... what’s wrong?” Wen Guixin and Wang Lei were alarmed, why are three people collapsing right after coming out?

Fortunately, Qi Xuefei had them clear the snow around the coordinates a bit, or they might have ended up buried in snow in this state!

Qi Xuefei immediately approached, squatted down, and gave each one a pill.

”These pills can alleviate the side effects, you might want to take one. But according to my experiments, the pills affect adaptation to the side effects and might become addictive, slowing the adaptation. So if you can endure, don’t take them.”

”Ugh... Then forget it...” Zhao Xiaochuan didn’t take the pill, just stored it away, ”There’s no danger now, I’ll take it when there’s danger.”

”Don’t worry too much, you should adapt fully within ten times.” Xu Xin explained.

”That’s good... that’s good...” Qin Yunlong looked up at the sky, his expression twitching.

Beside him, Li Wenxi also explained the side effects to Wen Guixin.

”If we can adapt, then it’s fine.” Wen Guixin didn’t seem particularly bothered, ”But this state, if there is an enemy it’s hard to deal with. We need to adapt quickly.”

”Oh no, I can’t adapt...” Lou Fei’Er murmured sadly, she could only rely on Qi Xuefei’s pills for relief.

”Huh? Why?”

Xu Xin had finished making wristbands for Wen Guixin and Wang Lei, handed one to Wang Lei, and tossed one to Wen Guixin.

”Yo.” Wen Guixin took the wristband and examined it, ”It even has my name and a carving! It’s kind of like an art piece.”

”Right...” Zhao Xiaochuan looked up at the wristband in Wen Guixin’s hand, ”I think so too, this thing doesn’t make me sick...”

He couldn’t take it anymore, directly lying on the ground, shouting to the sky, ”I can’t take it... It’s too uncomfortable!! Ugh...”

”Brr?” Keke had been watching the few people on the ground, suddenly turned to look at the forest half buried in snow, ”...Brr?”

It jumped off Xu Xin’s shoulder, ran toward the forest a few steps, stopped, stood up, and tilted its head, ”...Brr?”

”What’s wrong, Keke?” Xu Xin frowned slightly, looking at the forest.
