Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 544: Chapter 370 Perspective

X-ray vision!

The purple-level purple berry actually granted a special ability to the eyes!

The night vision from the blue-level purple berries could only be considered an enhancement to vision.

Just like on Earth, animals like owls inherently have night vision, and humans can also achieve it through technology.

But X-ray vision is different. Compared to night vision, X-ray vision is practically an unreasonable superpower!

Does this mean purple-level fruit endows people with superpowers!

That’s right, this purple-level fruit is very similar to the special functions of purple-level weapons.

The blue-level fruits and gear provide survivors with normal physical ability enhancements, strength enhancement, stamina recovery, mental sustenance, and so on.

In contrast, the purple-level fruits, gear, and weapons grant survivors superpowers that transcend physical capabilities!

The ability to move freely in water, absorb life force, sever injury bleeding, X-ray vision...

Aren’t they indeed superpowers!

Moreover, this X-ray vision ability...

It’s just in time!

The explorers were just worried about how to find the shortcut entrance under the snow surface.

Then the ultra-large purple berry came along!

With this thing, it should... be possible to see what’s beneath the snow, right?

Let’s give it a try!

He immediately picked all the purple-level berries from the bush.

The yield of purple-level berries is much less than that of blue-level ones.

The entire bush bore only eighteen berries.

However, even with this, it’s plenty and enough to use.

”...Whimper?” Keke, who was munching on an apple, stopped what it was doing and lifted its head to look at him.

Then it tossed away the blue-level apple it was holding and ran over to Xu Xin in two steps.

”Whimper! Whimper whimper!”

It stood up, grabbing Xu Xin’s trousers, looking at the last few purple berries Xu Xin had picked, its big tail wagging, whining continuously.

”Whimper! Whimper~”

This little one, at the sight of the purple fruit, actually threw away the blue fruit it always loved and acted all cute with him!

”I can’t give this to you to eat, it’s got a big purpose!” Xu Xin quickly stored the berries in the backpack.

Yet, Keke was still insistent, swirling around him.

Finally, Xu Xin persuaded it with a promise of endless blue berries in the future, so the little one stopped pestering him for the fruit.

Keke returned to its previous spot, picked up the half-eaten blue apple, nibbling on it with small bites while looking at Xu Xin pitifully.

”Looking at me like that is useless,” Xu Xin said helplessly.

These are purple-level fruits!

Even he was reluctant to eat them.

First, test the effect and see how powerful this X-ray vision ability really is!

Using one for the experiment is indeed a bit wasteful, but it’s necessary.

”Whimper...? Whimper!! Whimper whimper whimper!”

Xu Xin ate the purple berry right in front of Keke, which immediately made the little one a bit angry.

The little mouth took a fierce bite of the blue apple, then circled around, ran to hide behind the flower pot.

Out of sight, out of mind!

This little one...

Is it that angry, with its little nose twitching?

Wait, how can I still see it?

X-ray vision!

It really worked!

Xu Xin felt a cool sensation enveloping his eyes, with a moist feeling.

This feeling was very cool and comfortable, like putting on eye patches that relieve fatigue.

And at the same time, he could already see through the walls of the treehouse to the outside scenery!

He looked down.

He saw in the third-floor living room, Mimi was gently nudging the giant egg with its big paw.

And the giant egg swayed back and forth like a tumbler, prompting Silver King to give it a push as well.

Continuing downward, he saw the numerous workbenches on the second floor, divided into several workshops.

Continuing further down...

He couldn’t see beyond that.

He could only see the second floor.

It seems, this is the limit of this X-ray vision ability.

However, it already penetrated two floors of the treehouse, so it wasn’t too bad.

He went to the edge of the treehouse and looked at the snowy ground.

With focused gaze, the ground beneath the snow appeared in his vision.

Sure enough, he could now see the ground beneath the snow layer!

It really came effortlessly!

Unexpectedly, the purple berries he planted three days ago could come in handy upon ripening.

He immediately contacted Ji Chaoyang and informed him about the effects of the purple berries.

”So, we now have a way to quickly find the shortcut, with just one purple berry,” Xu Xin summarized.

”...I didn’t expect the purple berries to have such effects,” Ji Chaoyang was silent for a moment, then marveled, ”It’s truly a coincidence. But it makes sense too.”

”Makes sense?”

”The purple fertilizer appeared in the mall after this winter began. Perhaps the emergence of purple fertilizer is to allow us to grow purple berries and find the mountain climbing shortcut,” Ji Chaoyang explained.

Indeed, as long as one has enough points, anyone can obtain purple soil, just dependent on whether they can think of it.

”It seems, the newly appeared items in the mall, whether it’s skateboards, goggles, grappling hooks, or purple soil, all have significant benefits for this activity,” Xu Xin sighed.

He should have thought of it earlier, the updates of these costly exclusive resources in the points mall are certainly not random, they’re fundamentally related to the activities at each stage.
