Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 539: Chapter 366 Thoroughly Connected! _2

Xu Xin nodded, ”Let’s see Wenxi’s results today. If there’s enough, we’ll equip everyone; if not, we’ll make weapons first.”

”Wooo, you’re exploiting my labor!” Li Wenxi’s voice carried a hint of grievance, ”Now I not only have to support you but the entire explorers... the inventory will be empty for a long time again... Never mind, I have to go out now!”

”Be careful, Keke’s behavior is a bit strange today, remember to leave someone at home.”

”Hmm! I’ll leave Yajun at home, she’s becoming more and more like a head steward!”

After hanging up the call, Xu Xin and Zhao Xiaochuan sped forward.

Around them, there was still no danger; Zhao Xiaochuan also mentioned that this section of the road was relatively safe, at least he hadn’t encountered any mutant creature attacks yet.

Finally, after another half hour, they reached Zhao Xiaochuan’s treehouse.

Beside his treehouse, there were also three parasitic treehouses.

Under the treehouse, someone was already waiting.

He was a mature-looking man, with a bit of a beard.

If he didn’t know that the oldest survivor was only thirty-one, Xu Xin might have thought this person was already forty.

”Xiaochuan, you’re back. Is this Xu Xin?” The man’s eyes were full of admiration when he looked at Xu Xin.

”I am Xu Xin. And this is...” Xu Xin looked at Zhao Xiaochuan.

”Oh, he’s a guy I brought back from district 188. His name is Ke Xiancheng. He’s already past his 31st birthday, an older brother! Because he’s a lot older than me, I call him Brother Ke.” Zhao Xiaochuan immediately introduced him to Xu Xin, ”Brother Ke is very meticulous. I have no worries with him guarding the house.”

”I’ve already chosen the coordinate location, right next to my treehouse. I’ll be responsible for guarding it.” Brother Ke led the two towards his treehouse, gliding along.

At the location, the coordinates were already set, and the surrounding snow was cleared away.

Xu Xin was slightly surprised, ”This close to your treehouse? The sound when the portal condenses is very loud, and there are more people in the team now, so being this close...”

”Xiaochuan told me,” Brother Ke said, ”It’s fine, closer is easier to defend, my crossbow will also be more accurate, preventing any incidents and providing protection for everyone.”

It was indeed well thought out.

A portal certainly needs a treehouse for protection.

”Alright, then let’s set it here.” Xu Xin nodded, reaching out to activate the portal.

”Then Brother Ke, we’ll leave watching over the portal to you from now on,” Zhao Xiaochuan said.

”Leave it to me.” Brother Ke nodded.

Zhao Xiaochuan then turned to Xu Xin, ”Actually, I have two people here, the other one I’ve sent out to explore the surroundings.”

Xu Xin nodded, asked for names, created teleportation wristbands for both, bid farewell to the mature and steady-looking man, and the two continued towards Wang Lei’s treehouse.

This time, they didn’t encounter anything, and after half an hour of gliding, Wang Lei’s treehouse was already in sight.

Zhao Xiaochuan immediately sent Wang Lei a voice message, ”We’ve almost arrived, come out and welcome your daddies, hurry up!”

”Ah? Damn, you’re so fast! You didn’t even stop before coming here? I’ll be out to welcome Brother Xin and my dear son Xiaochuan in a moment!”

Two minutes later, when they glided to Wang Lei’s treehouse, he was already waiting under it.

”You guys really came this fast!” Seeing them, Wang Lei quickly walked over, ”This place is the farthest from Wen Guixin’s; when I went climbing yesterday, I moved at full speed, and it took me two hours to get here. I thought it wouldn’t be my turn this morning.”

The three of them went to the coordinate location Wang Lei chose.

Xu Xin looked around at the three parasitic treehouses and asked, ”How many people are here with you?”

”Two, both survivors from the original district 189. The survivors from district 188 around here have all perished.” Wang Lei shrugged helplessly, ”Oh, except for one, which is this guy.”

He pointed to Zhao Xiaochuan.

Everyone else was dead, which was normal.

Even though district 188 now had the most survivors of all areas, it was still only 3,000 out of 10,000 people, with a death rate of a staggering 70%.

It was equivalent to two out of three people dying.

However, due to the particularities of these two areas, most of the survivors around had special abilities, resulting in a lower mortality rate, making the number of people seem larger here.

In fact, overall, even in district 188, 70% of the area is empty.

”Both of them have gone out exploring now; didn’t you encounter them just now?”

”No.” Xu Xin shook his head, then reached out to activate the last coordinate.

A purple-black vortex gradually coalesced in front of the three of them.

”Connected?” Wang Lei was slightly stunned, looking at the rotating purple-black vortex, ”Is it... already connected?”

Zhao Xiaochuan glanced at him, ”We’ve been running for three hours; it’s not as easy as you make it sound.”

Xu Xin manipulated the coordinates, ensured there were no issues, and breathed a sigh of relief.

Thus, finally, everyone in the organization was completely connected through the coordinates!

The most important step for their organization was finally completed!

”Alright, now we are officially neighbors.”

Xu Xin crafted green-level teleportation wristbands for the two people here, handed them to Wang Lei, then activated the portal to his own treehouse.

He glanced at the time; it was nearly eleven.

Keke, in his arms, because of the boring glide, had fallen into a drowsy sleep.

Fortunately, it didn’t affect Xu Xin’s condition when asleep outside, or it would be troublesome.

”You guys teleport a few more times today to quickly adapt to the portal’s side effects.” Xu Xin reminded the two behind him, ”I’m heading back now; I have things to handle on that side.”

Wang Lei immediately thumped his chest, ”Rest assured, Brother Xin, no problem. By the way, come to my place for lunch! I’ve prepared all the ingredients!”

”Haha, I was waiting for you to say that.” Zhao Xiaochuan immediately went up and wrapped his arm around Wang Lei’s shoulder, ”I want to experience the deliciousness of your high-amp kitchen again.”

Xu Xin also nodded.

The two groups hadn’t met long ago, and now that the coordinates were fully connected, they should indeed face-to-face and get to know each other better.

A kind of team building?

But today, there are indeed so many things going on.

After bidding farewell to the two, Xu Xin stepped into the portal.
