Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 524: Chapter 359: Establishing Coordinates on the Other Side, Truly Connected! _2

If they don’t know this information, even if other regions climb, they’ll mostly disperse to climb. After all, the big shots from other regions aren’t necessarily like those in District 188, gathering together. Most of them will climb their own snow mountains.

But if they got this information, they would surely gather their forces, with most people focusing on climbing one Xue Feng. This way, the speed of activating the formation array would be much faster.

The total rewards are limited, and naturally, these people would not want to speed up the unlocking process of the array for other regions.

Only the top ten formation arrays have rewards. Even though a total of thirty arrays need to be activated globally to end this winter, requiring everyone around the world to work together, they would still wait until their own region activated the transmission array and received the reward before considering it.

So, I guess the new climber to the peak, the big shot from District 1, Cheng Jun’an, would not disclose this matter to everyone.

This also leads to the fact that the ordinary survivors in the entire region still don’t know that each transmission array requires three survivors to climb to the peak for activation.

But this aligns just right with Xu Xin’s intentions.

If everyone knew about this, then Lou Fei’Er’s actions would be hard to explain.

Others might speculate that it was Lou Fei’Er who helped activate the formation array for District 188, which would shelve Xu Xin’s plan to attract District 187 with Lou Fei’Er.

However...

Xu Xin frowned slightly.

Each snow mountain requires three people to climb. It’s been two days now, and only ten people have reached the peak, and there’s no telling how many people have died.

This progress is incredibly slow. If it continues at this speed, trying to globally activate a total of thirty formation arrays is simply out of reach.

It might take at least several months!

Such a time span is too ridiculous. If calculated based on a daily meter-thick snowfall, it would still take several months; in just over ten days, the entire jungle would be buried in snow!

Moreover, that mysterious voice has said that this winter can’t be prolonged too much, or else terrifying things will happen.

Of course, this has nothing to do with District 188.

After all, the winter in District 188 has already effectively passed.

However, he also doesn’t want this harsh winter to continue. He’s still waiting for it to end quickly to receive the rewards for this event’s ranking.

Surely, there is something they haven’t discovered yet.

There must be another method to more easily climb to the snow peak!

Just like Dong Erbao, who clearly ranked over a thousand in District 1, yet managed to climb the snow peak.

Later, people in District 1 also confirmed that this Dong Erbao was indeed Shi Wanyun’s person, and Shi Wanyun helped him climb the peak.

But even if Shi Wanyun could provide help, the actual climbing still relied on him.

So, it’s very likely that Shi Wanyun discovered a shortcut to the peak!

It’s just a pity that because private communication isn’t possible, it’s hard for Xu Xin to find her and ask.

Of course, he could also use the previous method of selling items on the trading platform for real-name communication, but such exchanges are equivalent to being fully exposed to everyone’s view.

If Shi Wanyun really wanted to tell everyone, she would have already announced it, so the success rate of this method is very low and somewhat inexplicable.

Ultimately, what kind of shortcut is there?

At this moment, Zhao Xiaochuan sent him a private message: ”Brother Xin, I’m already here! I released you!”

He immediately replied, ”Okay.”

Then, the scenery before his eyes changed drastically, and he was instantly transferred out from the bracelet.

Now, he still stands within a huge pit, only this pit has no stone statues, just purplish-black patterns all over the ground flickering.

And in front of him, it’s not just Zhao Xiaochuan alone; there are also two men who look almost identical, Qin Yunlong and Qin Yunhu.

”Xu Xin?” One of the men was astounded as Xu Xin came out, ”There really is an item that can accommodate survivors! I’m Qin Yunlong, and he’s Qin Yunhu, nice to meet you!”

Just now, Wen Guixin told them that it was dangerous over there in the Explorers, so they didn’t teleport over and waited here. Ji Chaoyang had already posted in the Explorers about Xu Xin and Zhao Xiaochuan coming over, so they knew the situation.

The two shook hands, and Xu Xin smiled, ”What you got from the lake was immensely helpful to me.”

”Haha, I don’t submit to anyone in water skill. Unfortunately, now that the lake is encased by several meters of ice, I can’t go down.” Qin Yunlong seemed helpless; this harsh winter effectively sealed off his abilities.

Several meters of ice is exceedingly difficult to break, and even if it’s broken, if it refreezes after entering, it’d be catastrophic.

”Now the temperature in District 188 has risen above zero degrees; those ice layers should start to melt slowly.”

”Thanks to all of you!”

On the other side, Qin Yunhu greeted him with a nod, acknowledging him.

From the dialogues in [Explorers], Qin Yunhu’s contributions to the conversation were few, rarely speaking in the early stages, and only gradually saying a few words later on.

The impression he gave Xu Xin was always reserved and reticent, quite the opposite of Zhao Xiaochuan and Wang Lei’s personalities. Now that they’ve met, this perception is further confirmed.
