Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 297: Chapter 255: The First Teleportation

Li Wenxi curiously reached out to touch the protruding metal pillars around the disc, and the purple energy fluctuated for a moment, but nothing else happened.

”Alright, since everything is taken care of here, I’ll take you back to the treehouse now.”

The sun had completely set below the horizon by that time, even though it was just after five o’clock, it had already turned to night.

”Lou Fei’Er, your period of weakness is over, right?” Xu Xin looked at Lou Fei’Er, who was completely different in her standing and walking state compared to a few minutes ago, ”Then let’s go back to your parasitic treehouse, we’re leaving.”

”Huh? Alright...” Lou Fei’Er had decided to act obediently around Li Wenxi, so she nodded and agreed.

But she didn’t leave immediately. Instead, she looked at the coordinates on the ground and couldn’t resist asking, ”Um... could you tell me, what exactly is this metal disc map for?”

She was very interested in the disc.

”I want to know that too...” Li Yajun whispered.

”Oh, you definitely can’t guess!” Li Wenxi patted the metal pillar, crossed her arms, and laughed, ”This is a portal!”

”Portal?!” Lou Fei’Er and Li Yajun both widened their eyes.

”Yeah, it’s a portal. Survivors can teleport between any two coordinates. The other coordinate we just set up is going to be at my place!” Li Wenxi explained the coordinates to them and then said to Lou Fei’Er, ”Fei’Er, we’re going to need your help at our place tomorrow, and that’s when this portal will be used!”

What Li Wenxi referred to as helping, naturally was related to Ma Hongwei.

Though... Fei’Er? Why did the nickname become so intimate?

Understanding relationships between women is so confusing.

”Help? Me?” Lou Fei’Er pointed to herself with an incredulous expression, feeling flattered, ”What kind of help?”

She was actually a bit excited. If she could go to Li Wenxi’s place, wouldn’t that be a great chance to build a good relationship with her?

”You’re helping me, I’ll explain it when I get back. You go back to your treehouse first, I need to take them.” Xu Xin waved at Lou Fei’Er.

”Oh oh, fine...” Lou Fei’Er nodded, glanced once more at the metal disc coordinates fixed to the ground, greeted Li Wenxi and Li Yajun, and returned to her treehouse.

”Afu!” Xu Xin called out to Afu, who was hanging under the treehouse. Afu made a small sound and flew down.

”Wow! A big bat!” Li Wenxi was startled, having overlooked the large bat hanging under the treehouse, ”You have a bat!”

Li Yajun widened her eyes at Afu. It was her first time seeing a bat, and she wanted to reach out and touch it.

”Yes, it’s called Afu. Afu, go keep an eye on Lou Fei’Er.” Xu Xin was still a bit worried, especially with Lou Fei’Er’s recovery; it made him even more uneasy.

Afu gave a call and flapped its wings, flying towards Lou Fei’Er’s treehouse.

”Time to take you both back.”

”Oh oh, great, connect our two treehouses as quickly as possible! I can’t wait to be your neighbor!” Li Wenxi eagerly nodded in agreement.

Xu Xin took the two women back to the treehouse, and Silver King was resting in the corner at that time.

After recovering from the special terrain earlier, it didn’t seem tired; rather, it was in good spirits.

”Silver King, let’s go, we’ll send them back.”

Keke, who had been clinging to Silver King Mimi’s side, jumped onto Xu Xin’s shoulder immediately when she saw him heading out.

Even Mimi stood up.

Mimi was eager for a bit of activity after staying home all day.

”My place is quite far, Mimi,” before Xu Xin could speak, Li Wenxi stepped forward, attempting to pat Mimi’s head, but Mimi deftly dodged with a slight tilt of her head.

However, Li Wenxi didn’t mind and smiled, ”It’s really far where I am. Once we connect the locations using coordinates, I’ll take you there, alright?”

Indeed, the distance wouldn’t be much for Silver King, but Mimi couldn’t handle it. Mimi was exhausted before reaching the small treehouse between his and Li Wenxi’s treehouses.

”Meow...” Mimi let out a slightly discontented meow and lay back down.

”It listens to you well? You guys got close quickly?” Xu Xin was slightly surprised, considering that today was Mimi’s first encounter with Li Wenxi.

”Hehe, while you were creating art, we became quite familiar, didn’t we, Mimi?”

”Meow...” Mimi turned her head away, not looking at her.

”Haha, it’s ignoring you,” Xu Xin couldn’t help but laugh.

”It’s just a bit of a diva, come on, let’s go!”

Descending from the treehouse, the three and one beast climbed onto Silver King’s back and headed towards Li Wenxi’s treehouse.

”We’re leaving, see you tomorrow!” Li Wenxi waved at the parasitic treehouse as they passed by.

Lou Fei’Er immediately poked her head out of the window: ”Bye-bye, see you tomorrow!”

Li Yajun also waved: ”Goodbye!”

”Your relationship with Lou Fei’Er has gotten so much better?” Xu Xin couldn’t help but ask.

”You don’t hit a smiling person,” Li Wenxi said, hugging Xu Xin’s waist, ”She’s been very humble, and with the contract you did, she can’t do much, no point in being cold to her.”
