Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 296: Chapter 254 Poor Keke, Strange Coordinates

Xu Xin immediately couldn’t wait to get to the second floor and walked to the door of the alchemy room.

Just as the three women came down from the third floor, they ran into him.

”Hey? Have you already taken care of it?” Li Wenxi, holding Keke, saw Xu Xin and quickly ran over, ”Are you going to create the coordinates?”

”Eek!” Keke, nestled in Li Wenxi’s arms, suddenly broke free and ran to Xu Xin’s side, jumping into his arms and holding his arm with tear-filled eyes, ”Eek...”

”...What did you do to him?” Xu Xin was seeing Keke like this for the first time, he patted the little guy’s head and looked up at them, puzzled.

”Well...” Li Wenxi looked somewhat helplessly at the two women behind her.

Lou Fei’Er and Li Yajun both lowered their heads somewhat embarrassed.

Xu Xin understood roughly what had happened. These two must have wanted to forcibly pet Keke, and Keke failed to escape, leading to this.

”They suddenly ambushed Keke, and I didn’t react in time...” Li Wenxi stroked Keke’s fur, ”Okay Keke, it’s my fault.”

”Eek... eek!” Seeing the two women approaching, Keke jumped directly onto Xu Xin’s shoulder and bared his teeth at them.

”With me here, they can’t touch you.” Xu Xin patted Keke’s little head.

”Eek...” Keke turned his head away, no longer looking at them.

”Well... are you going to create the coordinates?” Li Wenxi, feeling a bit awkward, quickly shifted the topic.

She indeed had always wanted to see Xu Xin’s alchemy room.

Xu Xin thought about it and felt there was no problem.

Aside from the alchemy synthesis table and a wooden plaque of the alchemy room, there wasn’t really anything else in the alchemy room, and alchemy wouldn’t be like art creation where one gets completely immersed. Without his alchemy ability, they also couldn’t use the alchemy synthesis table.

Besides, everyone present would be using the coordinates in the future.

”Come on, I’m going to create the coordinates now.”

Hearing this, Lou Fei’Er’s eyes immediately lit up.

She had wanted to look around all day today but was tightly monitored by Mimi and couldn’t go up and down the stairs. Unexpectedly, now she benefited from Li Wenxi and was able to properly tour the treehouse.

In her conversation with Li Wenxi just now, she learned about the relationship between the two. This Li Wenxi might well be her mistress in the future, so she had to curry favor!

Since Xu Xin was impervious to persuasion and kept threatening her with her weak points, she would reckon with Li Wenxi.

If she built a good relationship with Li Wenxi and couldn’t get rid of this identity in the future, having the ”mistress” by her side, Xu Xin wouldn’t be able to do anything he wanted with her!

However, Li Wenxi seemed also to harbor some caution towards her, probably because of the incident where she wanted to kill Xu Xin initially, which still left a thorn in Li Wenxi’s heart.

But it’s okay, she was best at acting like the good girl, and gaining people’s trust was second nature to her.

She had acted as the good girl for more than twenty years, never slipping up until she came to this world, where her true nature surfaced.

”Well... what is the coordinate?” Lou Fei’Er tugged on Li Wenxi’s clothes and asked softly.

”You’ll know once Xu Xin makes it.” Li Wenxi chuckled mysteriously; when Xu Xin first learned to create coordinates, it had made the explorers go wild.

The four of them walked into Xu Xin’s alchemy room, and the simple scene slightly disappointed the three women.

Xu Xin came to the alchemy synthesis table, turned on the screen, and selected the coordinates.

”Oh, this alchemy synthesis table, aside from its peculiar appearance, is used much like any other crafting station.” Li Wenxi felt a bit disappointed; she had thought it would be like Qi Xuefei’s medical room, filled with countless experimental equipment.

”I’m not like Sister Xuefei, who needs to research formulas,” Xu Xin shrugged, then said, ”However, in the future, I might need to research more advanced formulas, and then, I might truly look like an alchemist!”

”Hehe, then I’ll wait for you to become a real alchemist!”

Xu Xin checked the materials. Li Wenxi had given him materials last time enough to create two sets of coordinates, now placed in the backpack beside the synthesis table.

Having prepared, he directly clicked to create the coordinates.

[About to create coordinates (blue), success rate 88% (50% + 38%), continue?]

Xu Xin took a deep breath and clicked yes.

[Coordinates created successfully!]

Success!

”Bang!”

With a loud noise, a heavy metal disc, much larger than the workbench, crashed directly onto the treehouse floor, creating a huge sound.

”Eek!” Keke was startled again.

Unable to take the constant fright anymore, he jumped off Xu Xin’s shoulder, darted out, and went to complain to Mimi Silver King.

”Is this... the coordinates?”

Xu Xin let Keke go and stared at the heavy metal disc on the ground, measuring two meters in diameter and half a meter thick, with a curious expression.

These coordinates were quite different from what he had imagined.

”Hey! Look, there are changes appearing on it!” Li Wenxi suddenly pointed at the coordinates and exclaimed in surprise.

On the heavy metal disc, shapes and colors began changing. In the center of the disc, the metallic surface protruded upwards and gradually formed a shape very familiar to everyone present.

”Is this... is this the treehouse we’re currently at?” Lou Fei’Er was also very surprised; she had been staring longingly at this treehouse from the adjacent parasitic treehouse window last night, she couldn’t be more familiar with it.

”Ah, these must be the adjacent parasitic treehouses, right?” Li Wenxi pointed at the two newly-grown banyan trees nearby, surprised.

Soon, the disk had completely transformed, displaying the surrounding treehouse and bare jungle three-dimensionally on the disk, just like a 3D map showing the area within hundreds of meters around the treehouse.

It’s said to be ”coordinates”, but in reality, it’s a 3D map disk.

Xu Xin reached out to touch this map disk.

[Coordinates (Blue) (Unnamed): Can be placed on any flat surface, and any friendly or neutral units may teleport between coordinates with the creator’s permission.]

[Would you like to rename the coordinates and activate them? Once activated, the name can still be changed, but the coordinate location cannot be altered.]

Do I have to rename the coordinates before I can activate them?

Oh right, coordinates allow teleportation between them; without a name, how would one know where to teleport to?

Xu Xin thought for a moment and tucked the coordinates away.

”Huh? Why did you put it away?” Li Wenxi was still amazed, observing the 3D map above, when suddenly the coordinates disappeared from view.

”Should I place the coordinates here?” Xu Xin said somewhat helplessly.

”Seems like it, huh.” Li Wenxi touched her head embarrassedly, then slightly furrowed her brow, ”But where should it be placed? If it’s inside the treehouse... I don’t want everyone teleporting here to enter my treehouse! But if it’s outside, won’t it be easily destroyed?”

That’s indeed a problem, but it can only be placed outside.

This coordinate is quite large, placing it inside the treehouse takes up too much space, and it should have group teleportation functionality; if a group teleports in, the treehouse is not suitable for accommodating too many people.

However, the coordinates don’t seem easily destructible, at least they seem sturdier than the treehouse itself, generally, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Xu Xin wasn’t in a rush to leave; he had another set of materials, so he clicked to create the coordinates again.

With a loud noise, another set of coordinates appeared before them.

”These coordinates should be placed by my treehouse.” Li Wenxi reached out to touch them.

Xu Xin opened his watch, accessed the trading platform, and selected the coordinates. He wanted to test if he could trade these coordinates directly with others via the platform.

Just in time, Ji Chaoyang should be in the treehouse and available to trade.

Xu Xin initiated a trade with Ji Chaoyang.

Within two seconds, the other side accepted the trade, and the coordinates on the ground instantly vanished.

”It can be traded!” Xu Xin’s eyes lit up, and he immediately initiated a voice call with Ji Chaoyang, ”Quickly try it out; see if you can operate these coordinates, if you can...”

”It would be great if possible.” Ji Chaoyang knew what he wanted to say, but the voice on the other side expressed regret, ”Though, I can’t operate it. It reminds me that only the creator can alter coordinate attributes and activate them.”

”...Alright.”

It seems he overthought it.

He was hoping to trade the coordinates to others, and the other side could activate them directly, allowing him to teleport right over.

Turns out, things aren’t that convenient. Though the coordinates were traded over, without him there, activation is impossible; it’s essentially teleporting a metal lump over without any use.

However, once the coordinates are set up later, he can be the one who can activate coordinates anytime, anywhere, teleporting people to places he’s been.

”You should first use coordinates to connect you and Li Wenxi’s treehouses; aren’t you planning to send her back?” Ji Chaoyang said, then traded the coordinates back to him.

”Indeed, if trading doesn’t work, I’ll have to send it myself.”

After hanging up, Xu Xin stored the coordinates and, with the three curious women, headed downstairs.

He found a spot within the plant heart protection zone. With the plant heart present, it could maximally protect the coordinates from damage and also safeguard those teleporting in.

Xu Xin placed the coordinates here and temporarily named them ”Xu Xin’s Treehouse.”

Being straightforward is easier at this stage; the name can always be changed later.

”Snap!”

Under their watchful eyes, five arm-thick metal cylinders suddenly extended upwards from the edge of the disk surface, growing until they reached about a meter high before stopping.

”These coordinates are kind of cool...” Li Wenxi widened her eyes, watching the transformation.

Xu Xin noticed, beneath the disk, metal cones also extended, driving diagonally into the ground, firmly anchoring the entire coordinates on the ground.

Meanwhile, the cylinders above started emitting a purple-black glow.

”Purple-black?” Xu Xin squinted his eyes.

He had seen this color only today.

This is similar to that purple-black vortex with teleportation functionality!

Indeed, the energy of the coordinates might be similar to that of the purple-black vortex!

It’s all the same purple-black energy!

Now, it’s time to take the other coordinates to Li Wenxi’s treehouse area, truly linking the two locations!
