Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 251: Chapter 225: Is He Really Strong (4,000 Words!)

The long halberd suddenly swung towards the man’s... roots on his head.

”Ka!”

The long halberd sliced through the roots on the man’s head like cutting through tofu. Xu Xin didn’t feel any resistance at all, and the roots were already severed.

A strong surge of vitality transmitted from the halberd handle into his body, invigorating him.

Meanwhile, as planned, Li Wenxi pulled the trigger of the crossbow in her hand, targeting the man’s arm holding the weapon with a precise shot.

At such a close distance, she wouldn’t miss!

The man, now devoid of the treehouse’s restraint, let out a strange cry and fell to the ground. The iron crossbow bolt immediately pierced his arm, breaking his bone and going right through it!

”Ah—!” The man let out a pitiful scream, and the intense pain made him unable to hold onto his long knife, which dropped from his hand. He clutched the arm pierced by an ordinary crossbow bolt, writhing on the ground in agony.

Xu Xin lifted the backpack strapped to the man with his long halberd and then kicked the man flying!

Another scream, and the man was kicked outside the canopy of the treehouse, landing over a dozen meters away.

If a survivor is under the treehouse, it’s equivalent to being one with it, able to control it with a single thought.

Having him under the treehouse was a hidden danger, so kicking him out of this range was necessary.

Xu Xin’s strength was certainly not to be underestimated now, especially with today’s power boost from the ”Random Amplification.” Hence, this kick sent the man, who looked as small and thin as a monkey, rolling on the ground, holding his stomach and vomiting a heap of sour liquid. He groaned twice and then laid motionless.

...Seems like the kick was a bit too strong, hopefully, it didn’t kill him directly.

”Sister Xuefei!” Li Wenxi hurried to Qi Xuefei’s side after seeing the man had lost his ability to resist, grabbing her hand, ”How are you, Sister Xuefei, are the injuries serious?”

Qi Xuefei had blood oozing from multiple places on her body, making her look seriously injured all over.

”Wenxi!” Qi Xuefei immediately hugged Li Wenxi and released her after two seconds.

She held Li Wenxi’s hand tightly, a relaxed smile appearing on her somewhat fatigued face: ”I’m fine, the injuries are nothing to me, have you forgotten what I do? Don’t worry, the wounds are already healed.”

Saying this, she moved her shoulder, which had recently been fractured by a heavy crossbow arrow. Her shoulder was completely healed, now able to move freely.

Li Wenxi sighed in relief upon seeing Qi Xuefei could indeed move freely: ”That’s good, that’s good...”

”...Thank you, Wenxi, you guys... arrived just in time, this was my fault this time. It seems I’m really not fit for combat, I also think too highly of human nature...” Qi Xuefei sighed.

Even though she had many fantasy storms in her head, bursting with conspiracy theories, she was ultimately a healer wanting to save the world, a student yet to really struggle in society. She wasn’t like Xu Xin, cautious and guarded against others, so this was a big lesson for her.

Looking at the once brand-new steel armor, now full of dents and thrown to the ground by her, Qi Xuefei smiled wryly: ”You just gave me this outfit, and I’ve already wrecked it...”

”No problem, I have plenty of materials, I can just repair it directly!” Li Wenxi patted her backpack confidently.

”Haha, I forgot you’re a little rich girl with a mine at home.” Qi Xuefei laughed, taking a step forward but nearly stumbling.

”Aah!” Li Wenxi quickly supported her, looking at her with concern, ”You said you were fine!”

”I’m fine, the wounds are healed, it’s just a little exhaustion after the disaster.” Qi Xuefei steadied herself and exhaled deeply.

Encountering such a situation for the first time, she had been holding on with physical pain and tension before but now that they were safe, her legs were indeed a bit wobbly.

”Let’s hurry and see how Xu Xin is doing!”

Xu Xin didn’t go to greet Qi Xuefei but instead walked over to the man he had kicked to the other side of the treehouse, lying motionless on the ground.

”Ying!” Keke jumped down, ran to the side of the already unconscious man, and scratched his face with her little claws, leaving it clawed up.

It seemed Keke also had no fondness for this person’s actions.

”Alright,” Xu Xin picked Keke up, ”A few scratches will do.”

”Ying!” Keke lay on Xu Xin’s shoulder, baring teeth and waving claws at the man on the ground.

Xu Xin looked at this person before him.

He felt something strange.

Upon first seeing this treehouse, he felt it might belong to a strong individual, after all, it was filled with heavy crossbows. This number of heavy crossbows couldn’t be obtained merely by purchasing, even in District 188.

Li Yajun from the south, even with the ability to purchase heavy crossbows from explorers, only had two on her treehouse.

And when this person was controlling the heavy crossbows to shoot, Xu Xin felt even more so that this person was very strong.

His ability to control the heavy crossbows with such precision was extremely high.

He could even shoot crossbow arrows that narrowly grazed Qi Xuefei’s head, embedding three heavy crossbow bolts in front of her to block her path precisely.

The next subsequent heavy crossbow arrow even struck Qi Xuefei’s shoulder directly, knocking her to the ground without causing severe injury, aiming to prevent her from escaping the range without killing her.
