From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Chapter 30: Chapter 18: The Unbearable Education System

At first, he also doubted whether this design drawing really belonged to Su Jiameng, after all, considering her age, the knowledge involved was so vast, it was totally beyond what someone of Su Jiameng’s current age could master. But after a bit of probing, he found her explanations to be clear, and the content was detailed, which could not possibly be done without some real skills.

Lucy’s second uncle was convinced and started pondering over obtaining design authorization. Don’t be fooled by how small these components are, they solve manufacturing problems that have troubled him for a long time. If he were to study them intently, he might even achieve significant progress.

Design authorization? Su Jiameng was taken aback, weren’t these designs not supposed to be any big secret? Why was there an issue of authorization involved? Could it be that people here haven’t figured these things out yet? She felt that she should spend some time understanding this world thoroughly.

Lucy’s second uncle was waiting anxiously on the other side, practically wishing he could log into the virtual net and have a face-to-face conversation with Su Jiameng. Don’t keep people in suspense (┬＿┬), for a fanatical mecha nerd like him, it was simply unbearable.

Fortunately, after much anticipation, the person on the other side finally sent a message. Upon seeing the word of agreement, he nearly jumped with excitement, startling his colleagues in the lab. With the confirmation, the next step was to complete the authorization contract under the great witness of the intelligent brain; Su Jiameng didn’t need to do anything, just provide her account details to the other party and he would transfer the earnings to her periodically.

The laws in this aspect of the future world were very strict, plus all matters were backed up on the intelligent brain, the contract parties were under great restrictions, leaving no room for trickery or default. If a default was discovered, Lucy’s second uncle would no longer be able to mix in this circle, the intelligent brain would report and criticize him across the universe, and even take him to court.

After sorting this out, Su Jiameng was still bewildered, at this moment K3 sent a private message asking her to give him her precise address, as he had already contacted a distant uncle who could pick up Su Jiameng in at most thirteen or fourteen days.

Xu Na was more straightforward, handing her a property contract, Su Jiameng only needed to either clear three million Credit Points in one go, or make a one million Credit Point down payment with the remainder paid in installments, to obtain the villa on Qiming Star...

Only when Su Jiameng arrived on Qiming Star did she realize how ridiculously expensive the land prices were here, a villa started at fifteen million Credit Points, while the house she obtained was as high as over forty-four million Credit Points...

Forty-four million... Converted into RMB, villas at this price don’t seem too expensive. But you have to know that this is the future world, where even with population explosions, housing prices don’t rise! A villa actually costing over forty-four million, it couldn’t be described as expensive, it was super expensive!

She never understood how Xu Na’s parents managed to slash the price down. Upon a closer look at the property contract, she discovered the hidden secrets. The property contract showed the price as eleven million, but Xu Na’s parents generously paid an advance of eight million Credit Points, entirely covering the authorization for Su Jiameng’s design drawings and components for Xu Na...

The longstanding troubles that had plagued her were resolved in less than half a day, thinking about it now, Su Jiameng still felt it was a bit surreal.

”We’ll be neighbors from now on.” Xu Na directly gave Su Jiameng a pat on the shoulder and laughed, ”I’m really looking forward to you coming to Qiming Star.”

”You’re on Qiming Star too?” Su Jiameng was stunned.

Xu Na laughed and said, ”Not only am I here, but the captain and the others are also on Qiming Star. However, our household registration is not on Qiming Star, we just temporarily moved here for the convenience of study. When the time comes, I must see what your two eggs look like...”

At this point, Su Jiameng finally investigated the situation on Qiming Star, the reality online showed a lot of information, but the following points were summarized. Qiming Star, one of thirty Level One planets, is several hundred times the size of Ancient Earth, its education and technology are exceptionally developed, and it houses one of the Human Alliance’s Ten Great Universities, the first affiliated academy of the Xilena Military Academy.

What shocked Su Jiameng even more was that one-third of the entire area of Qiming Star is a school district!

”What grade are you all in?” Don’t blame Su Jiameng for asking such a silly question, her upbringing was guided hand-in-hand by her parents and grandfather, with an immense daily study load, later selected and trained by the Alliance, she carried out missions at a very young age, attending school was mostly in name, with specific instructors and professors guiding her along, her actual time in school was not much.
