From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Chapter 18: Chapter 11: Take Down Those Green Turtles

If they hadn’t accidentally overheard this truth, their negative scores would have dropped below five thousand!

The important credits for next semester would naturally be unattainable, and there’s even a chance of getting penalized.

Su Jiameng inwardly rolled her eyes. Even if it were for those adorable yet pesky Credit Points, she would deal with the enemy single-handedly.

”We’ll see if it’s a donkey or a horse when we take it out for a walk.” Su Jiameng then said to K3, ”Could you please apply for the competition quickly? I urgently need some Credit Points recently, and I am counting on the team battle... if you guys aren’t reliable, I’ll have to continue participating in solo matches.”

”Quite arrogant indeed... we’re worried if you are unreliable.” Xu Na mumbled, and her brother tapped her, signaling her to keep quiet.

Su Jiameng squinted her eyes with a smile, not caring about Xu Na’s comment. Just talking without actual practice is meaningless; she preferred to prove herself through strength.

Standing in front of the spacious entrance waiting, seeing the sign still counting down, K3 frowned, ”Do we really not need to mesh beforehand?”

”Time is precious and waits for no one, as for meshing... it can also be done during the competition.” Su Jiameng tossed the Mecha Space Hub upwards. As it fell, the sign showed zero, the door opened, revealing a site larger than the solo match, and the stands were packed with people.

The Mecha Masters who could mingle in the H District were naturally no rookies... even if they were, they should have honed themselves into veterans. Ten people piloting mechas landed near the center of the site almost simultaneously. Su Jiameng saw the other party’s mechas and immediately burst into laughter.

”Are they here to be funny? All of them are green turtles...” She laughed unreservedly, almost bending over with laughter.

”Meng... others heard your voice...” K3 looked helplessly at the five menacing turtle-shaped mechas ahead.

No way... they can hear? Su Jiameng’s mouth twitched as she looked around; well, the whole place was silent.

[If you want to exchange information and intelligence, could you please speak up in the group?] This was Lucy speaking helplessly. The person K3 team leader found was indeed unreliable; they had already made enemies even before the competition, [Upon entering the competition arena, the mecha’s internal and external speakers are automatically turned on...]

[I’ve never known about this...] Su Jiameng expressed her innocence, [However, I can give a friendly tip, the weakness is in the mecha’s abdomen since the energy transmission pipelines are close to the abdomen... does this count as making amends?]

Lucy paused, then asked, [This is a K-series mecha, and it’s newly released, how do you know the weakness?]

[Because... it’s a secret.] Remaining vigilant, the competition countdown had already begun, [Let’s knock over these green turtles!]

Su Jiameng had fought against this type of mecha in her past life and was well aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Besides the turtle form, they could transform into humanoid form. The turtle form had formidable defense, tremendous strength, and excellent clamping force. On the other hand, while in humanoid form, although the defense decreased significantly, it was still strong, and the abdominal weakness was covered.

Almost at the moment zero appeared, everyone moved. Xu Na and the others, although unaware of where Su Jiameng’s information came from, knew well that the team before them was tough, having won 21 consecutive matches, wearing down opponents with their turtle form... now they could only trust her combat actions... diligently focusing on flipping the turtles to expose their weak points in the abdomen.

[Wait a minute, why not let the captain use the Hotline Particle Cannon to attack from above?] Even with mighty defense capabilities, it is unlikely they could withstand the attack of a Hotline Particle Cannon, right? Even if it couldn’t break the defense, it could stall the opponent.

[If you don’t want to lose, don’t do that, it will make you die faster. Just don’t use it unless it’s an overwhelming ranged attack.] Su Jiameng responded to Xu Na, [The mecha was originally designed with long-range attacks in mind, so several layers of rebound equipment were installed on the shell. Right now, it may seem like nothing, but if you do that and your dodging skills are lacking, you’ll be courting death!]

This model was designed to suit land combat, considering all necessary aspects. If a simple ranged attack cannon could solve it, the designer should be smashing themselves with bricks since the flaw is too obvious.

[K3, now!] Su Jiameng shouted in the group, K3 skillfully sidestepped to avoid a bite attack from an opponent, then swiftly uppercutted, lifting the turtle body several meters off the ground. Xu Lei executed a beautiful follow-up, using an Air Compression Bomb on the ground below the turtle, causing the rebound airflow to throw the turtle mecha over 20 meters into the air. Of course, thanks to its robust defensive capabilities, the turtle remained undamaged.

Su Jiameng, utilizing the superior jumping ability of the N13 Grey Leopard, charged towards the airborne turtle, while K3 and the others held off the other opponents.

”The first one!” Su Jiameng’s slightly immature voice resonated from inside the mecha, with the forelimbs of the N13 Grey Leopard transforming into a point-energized vibrating blade piercing through the abdominal machine shell, perfectly targeting the energy transmission pipeline. Good, one could be considered scrapped.

Her eyes flickered; this large turtle had already risen to about fifty meters off the ground, just right for utilizing!

[Xu Lei!] Su Jiameng focused on the large turtle grappling with Xu Lei; Xu Lei frowned a bit but said nothing.

Quickly executing advanced piloting skills, he sent the descending large turtle further ten meters up; she maneuvered the N13 Grey Leopard to explode its speed to maximum, then swiftly changed direction at high speed, suddenly appearing on the back of the large turtle.

Xu Lei pushed his opponent back about ten meters, almost just as Su Jiameng began charging up to explosively kick the Big Turtle down, he quickly maneuvered his mecha backwards, simultaneously assisting his sister out of her predicament.

”Second one!” As soon as the words fell, two Big Turtles suffered a disastrous overlapping rear-entry double P...

The Big Turtle’s ultra-strong defensive capability is built on sacrificing speed, naturally its weight itself is extremely terrifying. Using force to hit force, exactly smashing down, that poor Big Turtle was crushed into a pancake.

Within a few seconds, the situation drastically changed, two teammates were actually taken out. Even though Team Turtle didn’t get what happened, seeing Su Jiameng’s piercing abdomen move, they also realized where their weakness was. Suddenly, each one became vigilant, K3 couldn’t use the previous method to lift the Big Turtle... they had to find another way.

At this moment, one of the Big Turtles opened its mouth at Su Jiameng, the dazzling red color made everyone’s faces change drastically.

Holy crap! They actually installed a Hotline Particle Cannon inside the Turtle’s mouth!

But Su Jiameng wasn’t worried, instead she smiled and said to K3, ”The root of the neck is the weakness!”

The speed and power of the Hotline Particle Cannon are indeed massive, but for Su Jiameng, it’s still too slow! She maxed out the speed, changed direction three times, successfully dodged, ”Turtles, third one down!”

K3 had good maneuverability, using Xu Lei and their cover to approach that mecha, flying level with the ground, rapidly ascending, the extended knife-wing slicing through the Turtle’s neck leaving only a strip of iron...

The cockpit of the modified Big Turtle is located in its head; without the Mecha Master operating it, this one was ruthlessly struck out too!

The situation now stands at five versus two, the odds are neatly in their favor O(∩_∩)O

Su Jiameng looked at the gains from this match, silently drooling, audience of 524,235 people, ticket price of 10 Credit Points per person, a victory brings team gains of 52,423.5 Credit Points, as per previous agreement, Su Jiameng can take two-thirds, that’s 34,949 Credit Points.

Just this once team battle could surpass all her previous match earnings by miles... Team battles are great (＞﹏＜)

And through this victory, the team not only gained points but also enhanced in terms of teamwork, especially their recognition of Su Jiameng. Operation skills and timing judgment, she’s certainly impressively abnormal. No matter what, they hit the jackpot.

”Does anyone need a break?” K3 thoughtfully asked, as several people exited the match venue, still in a dazed state. Losing 27 matches consecutively, their confidence was almost worn down. But today... they managed to secure a win against a tough opponent...

They all felt somewhat unreal... despite the last two opponents being tough, they still managed to break through, securing victory... clearly such deep memories, yet it feels so strange and unreal.

”Ssss—really hurts!” Xu Na suddenly sucked in a cold breath, Xu Lei cast a concerned glance her way, Xu Na waved it off and said, ”Just feels like dreaming, want to pinch myself to see if it’s a dream... we really won...”

Seeing the opponent’s data, Xu Na was ready to lose 28 consecutive matches. But unexpectedly, the real scenario turned out to be a triumphant march, the victory was theirs, not the opponents’. Lucy was amused by Xu Na’s antics, her green eyes flashed with banter, ”Nana is really adorable, see that expression, makes you want to tease her a bit...”

”Let’s strike while the iron is hot...” Su Jiameng extended her hand, ”Tonight let’s eradicate the negative points! Our goal—”

Xu Na and K3 exchanged glances, all smiled and extended their hands, stacking them together, shouting in unison, ”Eradicate the negative points!”

The team’s current score is negative 197, meaning according to the consecutive win scoring algorithm, at least eighteen wins are needed.

There’s already one victory, leaving seventeen to go. And K3 said, ”From now on, the flow of people in the arena will begin a nighttime peak, let’s take advantage of this period and work hard!”

K3 said this mainly with consideration for Su Jiameng. The more people there are, the more spectators they have during the competitions, naturally their earnings rise. As it seemed Su Jiameng was troubled over Credit Points, it’s a good time to make money... Of course, making big bucks has to be based on consecutive wins. If they could achieve the goal of eradicating negative points tonight, the feeling of hitting the five thousand mark wouldn’t be a dream.

”No problem!” Su Jiameng gave him a grateful smile, though K3 sounded a bit frivolous, he was a nice guy.

Team battles naturally take more time than solo matches, their luck seemed to start turning, the opponents they faced had their specialties but their overall strength couldn’t match theirs, plus Su Jiameng’s existence which can be described as a BUG, they were naturally on a winning streak.
