Chapter 7: Chapter 4: Plane Trading Platform

”What is this? I’ve never seen it before...” She clicked on the window and saw a long introduction. After reading these things, she finally learned about the origins of the teaching system that had accompanied her for many years.

According to it, this system is the intelligent crystallization of a highly technologically advanced parallel universe. However, a devastating explosion destroyed that universe, turning it to ashes. The system lost some data while traversing planes.

Even though the system is damaged, its functions are still strong enough to make Su Jiameng worship it.

From the birth of mechas to their peak glory and then to decline, the design data of every mecha is fully integrated, and the design drawings and material formulas of components are quietly resting in the database. As a powerful Mecha Master in her past life, Su Jiameng naturally understood the value of these things. You could say that simply taking out a design surpassing the current level could bring endless wealth and fatal danger!

In addition to this data, there are many other bits and pieces of things, basically only things Su Jiameng couldn’t think of, not things the system didn’t have. More astonishingly, there’s even a Plane Trading Platform... damn it, if she had known about such a thing before, she wouldn’t have had such a hard time! To enhance her strength, she ventured into dangerous areas, and as a girl, her body was full of scars that were hard to remove.

Touching her chin, ”Tsk tsk tsk, is this the rhythm of a salted fish turning over a new leaf?”

But even so, she’s currently penniless, and the physical condition of this body is extremely poor. With these things, she still can’t cash them out. When the time comes, instead of earning money, she might lose her own life. The Plane Trading Platform is good, but it’s a pity she has nothing to trade, except... Su Jiameng set her sights on the teaching system’s database.

She indeed had nothing material to trade, but there was plenty of intellectual data. Since these things are the crystallization of peak intelligence from a universe at its brilliant height, this data should be presentable, right?

After searching the platform for most of the day, listed items for trade include purchasing or selling ores, crystals, mechas, natural treasures... and someone even wants to sell a Qiankun Bag! Whoa, is that guy from a Cultivation Plane?

Thinking for a while, she also submitted a trade application. The trade content was as follows: sell ”Small Cosmic Spaceship Stealth Technology Design”, purchase ”Top-Level Baby Nutrient Liquid”, no price differential compensation, equal exchange...

”I wonder, can a trade like this really be successful? It feels a bit uncertain...” Su Jiameng mumbled to herself. She had encountered this stealth technology in her past life and it wasn’t extremely profound. But they were all controlled by the official army and rarely available for civilian use.

After listing the trade on the platform, she skillfully opened the teaching system’s instruction window again. This thing would scan all the data of her body and then create the perfect training plan, which would be enforced with ruthless rigor. Once the plan was set, Su Jiameng could only go all out to complete it. Otherwise, the various odd punishments would drive a person to collapse.

Su Jiameng’s strong abilities back then were credited not only to her grinding in the battlefield against the Insect Race step by step but also a large part to this teaching system. Without its merciless and cold supervision and repeated harsh punishments, she wouldn’t have overcome those inertias, fighting to this extent for her dreams and protection.

[Beep beep beep, initiating host scan mode, entering scan mode, starting scan... Three percent... Ten percent... Thirty percent... Forty-five percent... Eighty-eight percent... Ninety-nine percent...]

Watching the quickly advancing progress bar, Su Jiameng couldn’t help but frown, hoping the basic qualities of this body were slightly better. Otherwise, the hardships to regain her past life’s strength would be even greater than before.

[Host data scan complete, grading...] The cold mechanical sound of the system reached her ears, and Su Jiameng saw the data on the virtual screen, breathing a small sigh of relief. Her physical condition wasn’t good, but it wasn’t too bad either. With the help of various nutrient liquids and training, she still had hope of regaining some strength. Having walked the road before, with experience, it would be much easier to retrace the steps.

[Would the host like to create the current stage’s training plan?] The virtual screen popped up two options. Su Jiameng clicked ”Not for now” without thinking. The training this teaching system provided was extremely intense; if she accepted it, she probably wouldn’t have time for the two eggs.

Just as she was about to pick up the two eggs and lay them down to rest, the familiar beep beep beep sound reached her ears.

Looking at the screen, the trading platform’s window was blinking. Someone came to trade so quickly?

”Is Ms. CYF2012141150 there?” The other side opened with an extremely ordinary introduction.

Su Jiameng thought for a moment and sent a very cool reply, ”Yes.”

The other party was clearly also very terse, his speech equally succinct, ”Small Cosmic Spaceship Stealth Technology Design?”

She picked up an egg, her stomach a little hungry, ”Yes, it applies to small warships less than 200 kilometers long, less than 50 kilometers wide, less than 45 kilometers high, capable of evading lock-on by systems below interstellar Level Four.”

The other side was silent for a moment and then said, ”Deal.”

Su Jiameng paused her hand stroking the eggshell; this was no small transaction, and yet it was agreed upon so readily? She somewhat uncertainly asked, ”Don’t you need to verify the goods? What if it’s fake after receiving it?”

The other party was silent again, longer than before, coolly responding with two words, ”A newbie?”

Su Jiameng twitched the corner of her mouth, feeling the other party’s coolness outdid her by several streets, ”Yes (⊙_⊙), just a newbie. I discovered this tricky trading platform today; this is my first transaction. I’m still exploring all the functions...”

”Bottom right corner, there’s a guide.” Su Jiameng instinctively assumed the fellow across the platform was male, due to how succinct his words were, ”Traded goods are scanned, fair for all ages. If falsified, the trading platform gets blocked.”

Su Jiameng awkwardly said, ”Oh, I see. I didn’t read the guide... Can we trade now? The data is definitely real.”

”Yes.” The other party sent over the trade request. She tapped the confirm key with her finger and then saw two frames—a seller’s window and a buyer’s window. Just when she didn’t know how to operate it, the other party helpfully sent over some information.

”Click the seller’s window, and then upload.”

Alright, this brother is a nice person. Su Jiameng didn’t think about her combined age over three lifetimes and went straight into playing dumb.

Following his instructions, Su Jiameng uploaded the entire file to the trading platform. In the buyer’s window, an image of a bottle of nutrient liquid appeared, with ”5534” trailing behind... uh, it should be the quantity of nutrient liquid, right?

After both parties finished uploading, the Plane Trading Platform began the appraisal and pricing of the items for both parties, but... seeing the large ”Amounts unequal, buyer lacks 230 Credit Points, transaction failed,” Su Jiameng was dumbfounded. Can anyone tell what this means?

”Excuse me...” The other party sent a message, ”Do you need anything else worth about 200 Credit Points?”

With the other party’s inquiry, Su Jiameng understood. It turns out her previous trade condition submission was for equal exchange. After platform pricing, if the differential exceeded one hundred, they had to compensate the difference to make up the trade.

”Uh, can I just take Credit Points?” Su Jiameng indeed was as broke as a pauper now, grumbling.

”No, Credit Points can’t be traded between two planes; it’s one of the rules.” The other party seemed to be fretting too.

”Then...” Su Jiameng propped her chin thoughtfully, gazing at the eggshells in her arms, she sent a message, ”How about adding some food that I can eat right now? I’m almost starving...”

The other party was silent again, taking longer than the previous times. Then the buyer’s window opened a new small window with ”Colorful Fruit” *7 displayed. Clicking again, it showed trade successful. Between the icons flashing beep beep beep in the bottom right corner of the virtual interface, she opened it up to find it full of small grid slots from the game interface. Counting them carefully, there were fifty slots, but all were empty.

She moved her gaze to the topmost slot, which had a grid pattern indicating top-level baby nutrient liquid and another indicating Colorful Fruit.

Uh... the trade was successful just like that? Before she could be puzzled, she received another message stating she had successfully traded, the transaction amount was significant, earning her 124 Experience Points, current Plane Merchant Level Two 124/500.

”Cannot shake off ’Experience Points’ even after two lives...” she muttered softly as she planned to find the guide to study how to retrieve items from the grids, ”So that’s how it’s done...”

Taking out two bottles of nutrient liquid and one Colorful Fruit, she felt relieved. This way, she didn’t have to worry about the two eggs failing.

Speaking of which, she still didn’t know which race the babies belonged to. Hopefully, their fathers are human, otherwise cross-species children will have a hard life. No one knows if the genes will adapt or rebound, causing premature death or something...

”Are you still there?” The buyer sent another message, giving Su Jiameng a jolt, wondering if there was something wrong with the data? She quickly took a bite of the Colorful Fruit, finishing it in three bites. She didn’t want to end up returning the goods and going hungry.

”Yes, still here. May I ask... is there a problem with the goods?” Su Jiameng did a basic check; the data should be real.

”No problem, the data is very detailed.” The next message from the other party took a little longer to arrive, probably hesitating on how to phrase it, ”May I ask if the lady has other items in hand? If trading, could I get priority consideration?”

”Yes...” She wasn’t even sure how large the database was, ”If you need something, you can send a request, and I’ll find it for you. As for me... hmm, I might need some training equipment for a Mecha Master shortly, the more advanced, the better!”
