From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Chapter 9: Chapter 5: Making Money Is a Minor Challenge (Part 2)

”Eh?” Su Jiameng’s mouth twitched as she watched the two eggs that should’ve been soaking in Nutrient Liquid float out in a row. They paused in mid-air, then turned around and drifted over to Su Jiameng, affectionately rubbing against her stomach.

She... had actually been taken advantage of by two eggs... Su Jiameng didn’t react immediately. The two eggs seemed to lose their supporting force and fell straight to the ground! Oh no, at this height, wouldn’t they crack open and spill egg whites and yolks?

Although her body was uncooperative, she managed to catch both eggs smoothly and became their cushion.

”Next time, remember to give me a heads-up before any movement... Ouch, they’re quite heavy.” Rising to her feet and holding the eggs steadily, she found that they seemed to have gained some weight, and the patterns on the eggshells were more vibrant, with faint luminous colors.

Taking them back to the room, she noticed the Nutrient Liquid was already dried up. How long had it been? They had absorbed an entire day’s worth of Nutrient Liquid?

There was no choice but to take out two more bottles of Nutrient Liquid, then put them in, gently patting the eggshells, ”Stay here obediently, don’t move around, don’t fly out like before...”

Previously, she merely found the patterns familiar, but watching the scene of the eggs queuing up to form a train in the air stirred memories from long ago. Some individuals with unique constitutions have special abilities from birth, initially nonexistent, but after the interstellar integration, with human ancestors exiled from Earth and evolving with cross-species merging, such individuals gradually emerged.

These abilities were originally trump cards of alien races, and those powerful entities were natural battlefield crushers. Yet some humans also possessed these special abilities, and with specially designed Mechas, their combat power soared, making their strength noteworthy. Among all special abilities, one rare category is Telekinesis.

Even the weakest humans possess spiritual power, but Telekinesis is not something everyone can have.

To put it simply, Telekinesis is the sublimation of spiritual power; an ordinary person’s mental power limit is 3S, but those with Telekinesis can break this threshold, and upon development, can transform their spiritual power into various forms to achieve goals. Su Jiameng is among them.

When one’s Telekinesis reaches a certain level, they can defy the norm. Su Jiameng once heard her grandfather in her second life mention that the Human Alliance has a top-level tenth-grade Mind Power Expert who can instantly seize absolute control over a massive universe battleship! Imagine a massive universe battleship, not to mention its fierce weapons, but its sheer size is as vast as Earth’s diameter!

Her Telekinesis level isn’t that high, yet she can still turn majestic Mechas into scrap iron before her, manipulating them to self-destruct.

And she remembered that the patterns representing Telekinesis were indeed the designs on the eggshells. Truly unexpected, the two babies in this body both possess the extremely rare Telekinesis ability. If true, she must be cautious in the future.

Simple spiritual power can merely enhance your aura, whereas Telekinesis makes you feared.

Grandpa once teased her, saying that in her childhood she couldn’t control her abilities, often causing trouble. The previous behavior of the eggs floating in the air was probably unconscious. Flying inside the room is fine, but if they flew out the window...

Su Jiameng wiped the black lines off her forehead, already imagining the miserable scene of spilled egg whites and yolks. Returning to her spot, she continued browsing the internet. Although the signal was intermittent, it was better than nothing, ”Hmm, the current urgent task is to earn Credit Points and leave this planet.”

Staying on a poor planet rampant with Alien Beasts, who knows when she might die. Her current Telekinesis is only a tenth of its peak, her physical condition is poor enough to make her want to cry, and such weakness in the face of an Alien Beast is practically offering herself as a snack.

”Even though that’s the situation, how can I earn Credit Points?” The Plane Trading Platform is rather useful, but unfortunately doesn’t support Credit Points transactions; otherwise, she’d already be a little rich lady, ready to pack up and leave with the two eggs.

Bored, she browsed web pages and her gaze fixed on a message, a flash of inspiration passing through her mind, finding a way to make money!

Su Jiameng’s solution was very simple: participate in Mecha Fighting tournaments on the interstellar virtual network. On the interstellar network, what affects individual performance most is the speed of mental response and spiritual power strength! After crossing over, due to physical limitations, her body’s response speed couldn’t keep up with her mind; her Telekinesis might be weakened, but her mental response speed and spiritual power hadn’t diminished!

Meaning, on the interstellar virtual network, Su Jiameng can fully unleash part of her previous life’s strength!

Mecha Fighting tournaments are essentially two Mecha Masters duking it out, with spectators buying tickets to watch. Winners receive one percent of all ticket proceeds. If one wins ten consecutive matches, by the eleventh match, earnings will increase to two percent, and this continues until reaching the hundred percent cap. To prevent players from abusing winning streaks, a series of strict regulations were established...

If it were normal circumstances, Su Jiameng would never participate in these tournaments.

To put it bluntly, such fighting tournaments are akin to the Ancient Roman Colosseum, where Mecha Masters are merely the beasts in the ring. The dark side of the fighting tournaments is significant. Generally, decent Mecha Masters, unless their aim is to make money, practice, or gain combat experience, disdain to participate in such formats of tournaments, as they can easily get themselves entangled in trouble.
