Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1652: Chapter 230: Lucimar’s Sorrows and Joys

Even without hearing those brilliant stories about bulls, Lucimar’s pupils were still shaken to a daze... The past and present of the Greek Gods are inherently absurd.

Especially since everything is chaotic, only the means by which the three generations of Main Gods ascended are consistent.

He couldn’t help but murmur: ”So, she always hopes I can suppress my father and ascend on my own... not subdue, but kill him?”

Shaking his head frantically, Lucimar looked at ’Snow Cloud Peak’ as if he had seen a monster: ”So it’s not my misunderstanding... she really wants me to commit patricide?”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ glanced at him sympathetically... the perceptive child is truly pitiful at times like this: ”Yes, it should be.

Although she wishes to ascend using the Divinity of the Goddess of Love and Beauty, her true self is the Earth Deity!

Moreover, since her great-grandson Triton is related by blood, she must have a way to control him, thus she certainly has plans to prepare for seizing this world from Aesces in the future.

Is there anything more symbolic than killing a powerful father at her behest that can point directly to her?”

”Is it because of Triton’s existence that she can use such simple and brutal tactics to position herself?” Lucimar responded swiftly, ”So initially, she appeared actually.

But she didn’t have the capability to suppress Aesces, so... then, she conspired with the Goddess of the Sea to lure Triton into this world?

Not only allowing Aesces not to focus so closely on the earth and humanity which he was always well-guarding, but also setting preparations for her own future ascension.

Ah... although her methods have always seemed excessively ruthless, always liking to manipulate souls, more like a devil, I’ve always worried if I’d end up in Hell after my life ends.

But achieving this, then even as an Evil God, wouldn’t she be spared from Hell’s Mark?

Huh?

Why do you have that expression?”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ awkwardly chuckled twice and then said with some confusion: ”To be honest, she was very closely tied to Hell back then... Their world created a prison called Hell to lock up those deities who lost in family feuds.

The result of merging with the outside world was that the prison directly fell into Hell.

It was the current Lord of Hell, who initially plunged into the depths of Hell directly from the entrance during that great earthquake, only then releasing those deities inside.

But whether Hell marked them, nobody knows for sure... dares to confirm.”

Suddenly recalling the inexplicable awakening of a legendary stage devil sorcerer from the space-time bigwig, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ decided not to speak too definitively... Teraxil is not without other devil sorcerers, who suffered their fair share of beatings since childhood, but their awakening surely didn’t create chaos needed divine intervention to resolve like the awakening of the space-time bigwig.

Lucimar gasped: ”Then I... my soul...”

”Do more tasks for Aesces, he has the capability to bring your soul to his Divine Kingdom.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ looked at him strangely, ”There are many souls marked by Hell~

If you have some abilities, mm, did you see the Goddess of the Sea Ambori summoned out by our people?”

Lucimar looked at him confused, nodding his head: ”Yes, we all spied on her in the city.

The nobles turned so obedient later because they discovered you can even summon deities, initially they planned to advise Lind not to entrust all power in Cain Valley to the Undead Tribe.

At least invite some trustworthy noble families to share the pressure of facing you.

In the end, before they even met the always-avoiding Lind, they saw the goddess you summoned so easily... She didn’t even care about her surroundings, sitting without a Temple.

She even followed your instructions, despite seeing the Scaret battleship clearly aiming at her, she didn’t act first.

And that’s a deity!

In Aesces, the status of deities, even without needing faith, is unattainably high, even the chief priest of the church wouldn’t be so... mm... obedient.

All these prove that your Undead Tribe’s status is absolutely high enough, and true strength is definitely strong enough, so they behave now.”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ whispered a few words, only the closest ’Susu’ caught ’MD’, ’No wonder they are so obedient’, ’Road Eunuch owes me’...

She quietly glanced at the Old Dog, then bowed her head to ponder a bit; still couldn’t understand, what other use besides spreading Cunlü’s good name back to their territory did the nobles have.

’Susu’ is not clueless; it was actually because the world-wide scattered Undead Tribe can let locals watch their tablets, alongside telling them, see this drooling man, he’s such-and-such noble here... generally speaking, compared to the legendary beauties, the performance of these recognized upper-class individuals tends to persuade ordinary town citizens more.

But the greater effect was due to the effortful cooperation of Aesces, the World Master.

Only the tacit agreement of those temple priests, and their light and public praise, could destabilize a part of the foundation that the Goddess of Love and Beauty had spent a millennium building in such a short time.

However, if the other party has a way to suppress the presence of ’Cunlü’, she might still be able to make a comeback.

There’s no way around it; the mastermind behind the scenes has already started to closely integrate with the divinity of love and beauty born into this world... It’s really just one step away, igniting the divine fire and condensing the divinity!

Aesces indeed has good fortune, encountering Hill, who is always accompanied by luck, before hitting a streak of bad luck... Speaking of which, whenever Hill descends into any world, although there’s never any danger, he always readily finds himself indulging in his favorite pastime... Fun.

Even in Toril, with its complex god system and countless big shots, amidst so many continents, and even Ferun Great Land which is not small, he directly arrived at the starting point of the Path of Destiny: The North and Sword Bay!

The same goes for Aesces here; Hill probably never anticipated that he could go from temporarily finding a foothold to reaching this stage today?

Although he planned to stay for just a few days before leaving, he stumbled directly upon the ’big melon’ of the God of Time and Space; how could he possibly lift his bear claw and move?

The bright white cloud above them, drifting from east to west, busily moving about.

’Susu’ felt that she could even see a little bear face happily munching on melon from that cloud, its eyes sometimes round and sometimes crescent-shaped.

Even with Toril being so lively, Hill never manifested so markedly, staying in the Floating Castle for long periods without going out for a whole year and a half.

Indeed, only melons from one’s household taste the best.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ ignored the obviously distracted manner of the girl beside him, and after cursing the ’Lu Huayu’, who had caused some of his plans to be thwarted, he straightforwardly told Lucimar: ”Ambori is not considered strong among the gods.

But even she can intercept a few souls marked by Hell with ease.

As long as one has a Divine Kingdom, the priority over souls lies above Hell, the Abyss, and the Styx.”

Lucimar furrowed his brow and asked seriously: ”So that’s why they say only deities can save fallen souls?”

”That depends on the degree of the fall.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ answered honestly, ”If it’s like Ellie, where almost half the soul has already turned black, then very few deities would waste their divine power to save her.

Thus, her best outcome would be that the contract with the devil and evil god cannot be fulfilled, then her soul mark would return to the Styx, waiting for an unknown number of years to regroup.

Of course, she might no longer be herself.

Even for deities, if a soul only retains a bit of aura, it’s not so easy to recall the past.

However, if it’s just a minor mistake and due to pious faith in the deities or oneself, keeps the soul awake, it is still quite easy to save.

Most importantly, it depends on whether the deity they believe in is compassionate enough, or rather, responsible for their subordinates.”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly grasped who this mage was asking about: that Great Sage Ismael, who had shared a bed with the embodiment of a certain evil god for over a hundred years and had done many things for her.

Even though he knew nothing... that doesn’t mean certain beings wouldn’t reckon with him.

So, Lucimar is concerned that his somewhat unimpressive but still human father might be taken to Hell.

Lucimar’s expression softened.

He understood the underlying message of ’Snow Cloud Peak’.

Aesces, although a flawed World Master, is genuinely good to his own people.

As long as Ismael doesn’t betray him on the spot for that woman, even if life ends, he could be pulled into a Divine Kingdom by Aesces.

Once Lucimar resolved his concerns regarding himself and his sole acknowledged kin, he felt completely at ease, prompting another thought: ”What about Lucy then? Can she still be saved?

Although I hate to say it, Lucy and her dozens of companions... Even though they followed the wrong person, it’s not their fault!

This should be the fault of Great Sage Ismael.

If it weren’t for him, how could these girls with mage aptitude be taken away by that woman?

I... I also clearly knew their fate wouldn’t be good, yet I remained silent to protect myself.”

Even if he tried to save them in some way... the weak effort made Lucimar occasionally laugh at himself in midnight dreams, probably just to sleep peacefully.

”Ignorance is innocence.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ said with a slight smile, ”That depends on their choices after death.”
