Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1641: Chapter 219: What’s Up with the Greek Gods?

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ felt he found a hint… Like why someone who likely possesses a fragment of Uranus’s divine soul remains a leader until the end.

Clearly, the leader was human, yet survived under the will of the deities, albeit suffered a bit.

At a certain stage, Greek Gods must have experienced great chaos, barely maintaining the presence of their god system… So the fragmented soul would naturally wash away nearly all impurities.

Even if that soul had the strength to struggle later on, the leader back then was already known or cursed by numerous people following the Master of Contracts, his soul became strong enough not to be disturbed by a mere fragment.

Even amid the temporary chaos due to betrayal… For instance, suddenly falling to become a devil sorcerer, yet he still found his path when the time came and proceeded without hesitation.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ tilted his head in reminiscence… Although the film story by the Master of Time and Space lasted several days was a time-limited edition, the later game video was edited into a 30-minute highlight by William… he still somewhat remembers bits of the content.

When the God of Time and Space decided to dissect his own soul at the end… Why did he become a devil sorcerer and still have half of his soul belong to humans? Moreover, he was very familiar with this part and decisively acted on it.

No wonder, how could the God of Time and Space’s self-control succumb to being controlled by the devil side… Even betrayed by chosen friends, even hunted by the powerful God of Nobility, it shouldn’t be so easy to be controlled by nature given the patience and determination shown by that leader.

Tsk, an example is right there!

Isn’t Hill the same!

Although Hill now appears incredibly powerful, looking at his age, it’s even rarer.

But everyone understands that magicians’ rapid growth almost always comes at the cost of their reasoning and self-control.

Hill could overcome it without turning into a true Earth Bear, his personality didn’t even change much, remaining gentle and amiable; he absolutely didn’t rely on his luck… Luck doesn’t discriminate such complex matters as needing power but not needing the bloodline transformation brought by power.

Luck always comes as a package; whether it can be harnessed depends on Hill himself.

Though saying this might seem like looking down on Hill, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ absolutely doesn’t think the God of Time can’t achieve what Hill could.

Therefore, even then, perhaps before that, did Uranus’ will do something?

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ lightly tapped his tablet, deciding to contact a few people: Although it’s just a game, Time and William, they are their own kind, how can they suffer in vain.

If Uranus is utterly annihilated, let the Greek gods who sent him out bear this sin!

Anyway, their undead tribe either finds trouble for others or themselves… He is old and truly can’t keep up; messing around with spy games is all a devil’s play, he’s truly tired of it.

Better to find a bigger target to hassle instead.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ flipped his tablet, glanced over the names possibly tied to Road Eunuch, and irritably swiped away… If he wanted to uncover these people, it would shake several families to their core.

This damn Road Eunuch, can’t he give him a break!

But… If Road Eunuch is considered half-selves, this matter seems passable since Proud Sky Alliance is known for being more informed than allies about allies’ affairs.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ felt that currently, Road Eunuch hasn’t crossed his line, so he can turn a blind eye temporarily.

As for finding the hiding place of those Greek Gods or whether the undead tribe can access it… Even if Hill doesn’t act as the guide, they can still trust William’s vindictive spirit, holding grudges is his style.

Moreover, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ chuckled with a pout; knowing Little Bear well, even if the home route is right next door, he would certainly detour far away to enjoy the big spectacle relating to the God of Time and Space first.

And once Hill is intrigued… Is there still a need for the undead tribe to make desperate searches?

Hmm?

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ pulled out his telescope, eyeing the aggressive Scaret in the distance… So, Triton’s attitude towards Aesces is really that indifferent?

He looked around, used detection magic to observe the surroundings, then cautiously probed his finger into a small crack in the cliff behind him.

A small bell lightly tapped his finger… Communication is beginning.

“Hill, hey~” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ asked sneakily, “Is Triton serious or not serious about this world?”

Sitting at the edge of the Cloud Platform, watching the battle spanning several kilometers while sipping iced lemon water to cool down, Hill paused and thoughtfully replied: “Though I don’t know what you’re considering, I can confirm Triton has his own world.

He holds a position within the Ocean and Sky informal alliance, confirming his role in the multiverse.

He was coaxed over by the Ocean Goddess Aesces at that gathering… Well, considering how many sea gods enjoy turning stones into flowers and deserts into oceans, it’s quite fun.

Triton just wanted to cause some trouble for Aesces, and have a bit of fun in the process… Although Poseidon’s children each have their own issues, their situations aren’t necessarily bad.

You see, after Ambori appeared, although he started a ruckus with Aesces outside the world, he showed no intention of fighting to the death. In fact, he seemed quite interested in Ambori.

I saw him observing Ambori while fighting.

“What?”

“Triton naturally likes ocean goddesses, especially those born to the sea. He respects his mother immensely, so his style leans towards the ocean fairies,” Hill said frankly. “The reputation of the Toril Gods is quite renowned, and these sea deities are well aware of Ambori’s past.

Not to mention, that Ocean and Sky Wanderers’ Alliance, Ambori was part of the past as well… but after becoming a Lesser God under Talos, Ambori abandoned much of his prior connections.

So, Triton, who had joined early, must undoubtedly know Ambori.

If it were you, suddenly discovering an old acquaintance from ten thousand years ago, who had undergone a complete transformation, you’d definitely want to know what’s going on, wouldn’t you?”

“And… the Scaret people are obviously fighting desperately… Right, Hill, have those Great Sages of Danborona matched up against the Scaret?”

“Yes,” Hill glanced distantly, “On an island over thirty kilometers away, it seems the Scaret were preparing to discuss how to deal with you all, but were directly ambushed.

The leader should be Great Sage Ismael… Hmm, he looks no different from the photos in those chronicles.

Other than him, I only recognize Finch.

Hmm… currently it’s 5 Danboro people against 4 Scaret people.”

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ was puzzling: “Why is this happening?”

“Triton doesn’t mind because he understands Ambori well… Toril’s Goddess of the Near Seas has a reputation for being easygoing.

As long as Danboro’s coastal areas belong to her, she wouldn’t necessarily snatch the ocean authority from the Scaret.

Triton might return to the beginning, however, how can I put it… Guess why the original ocean goddess would choose to mess with Triton in this manner?”

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ blinked, tentatively asked: “If the ocean’s too dirty, Triton… can’t stand it?”

“Exactly! The side he inherited from the ocean fairy dislikes sticky, messy seas,” Hill smiled. “If it weren’t for the Moon Clan helping him clean up ocean filth, he’d probably already have the Scaret as ocean janitors.

If it’s truly uncleanable, he wouldn’t abandon his control of the ocean, but he wouldn’t be so focused on Aesces either… He has other places he could go!

But the Scaret can’t accept such an outcome.”

Hill chuckled coldly: “They’re currently proving their loyalty to Triton… Even if there are other sea gods, as descendants of Triton, they would never betray.

They even swear to die for Triton’s honor.

And, they truly will die.”

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ nodded: “Ah… indeed, it’s an amusement to us, but to them, it’s about future and life.”

The easygoing coast for Triton, the Scaret definitely won’t easily give up.

They’ve fought, battled, and sacrificed for it for thousands of years, how could they just concede because of another world’s sea god?

“Though Triton’s not that concerned, he won’t give up easily either,” Hill thought for a moment and still gave a reminder, “The whims of deities are already a heavy burden on humans.

His indifference means that after Scaret’s complete defeat, he won’t fight Aesces to the death.

It doesn’t mean that when Scaret fights desperately, he won’t help.”

“I understand that.” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ hesitated for a moment, couldn’t help but ask, “Hill, why is it that in the Greek pantheon, only Poseidon’s line seems significant and thriving… what about the others?”

“The Greek pantheon had an internal conflict when Hell was occupied by the current Lord of Hell,” Hill answered blandly, “but nobody knows the exact details. Some say several have been sleeping until now.

As for why Poseidon’s family has survived… it’s said during the Greek’s move, no one informed them.

Poseidon took his family and fled in the end himself.”
