Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1605: Chapter 183: The Evil God’s Purpose

Even the four Great Sages who came from afar, thanks to their battle-hardened past, promptly cast their spells.

One person countering earth spells, another releasing an earth magic protection barrier, one seemingly casting a wind series protective barrier, and the last one pulled out a strange mirror... it seemed to be a divine artifact that prohibits the release of air magic.

The two who finished casting their barriers simultaneously raised their hands, launching a Polar Ray and a Sunburst Explosion.

However, today was a beautiful day, with brilliant sunshine and gentle breezes.

Whether it was ice or light spells, they couldn’t even graze Hill.

Surrounding Hill were 12 long swords crackling with lightning, and wings made of lightning instantly appeared behind him.

He rarely used this talented magic, not because he disliked it, but because there were hardly any opportunities to use it.

With a gentle wave of his hand, the 12 long swords decisively divided into four groups, lightning shooting into the ground, sealing those four people in a triangular lightning array.

Watching the few stunned Great Sages, Hill smiled coldly.

Then he raised an eyebrow, swiftly rushing to the right front, grabbing the mirror that was about to slip into a space rift with his hand.

”Hill...” A panicked female voice emerged from the mirror, ”I was just helping them a little, anyway, you surely won’t... Ah! Don’t!”

With slight force, he ground the mirror into powder bit by bit.

Hill had no leisure to listen to Wendy spew nonsense comparable to the Stinking Cloud Spell.

He turned to the four Great Sages, struggling desperately, with a malicious smile, the gauntlet on his raised hand clanging.

Then he leapt into the air, pressing one into the earth he had already turned to metal... that was the one who used the earth magic protection barrier.

”How’s it possible?” The one counteracting the magic exclaimed in disbelief.

”Ha~ I’ve yet to see anyone isolate the earth from Hill!” The timely arrival of the ’Old Age Striking King’ clinging to vines descended rapidly from the cloud platform, delivering a flying kick that knocked several Moon Clan members rushing up from under the mountain to the ground.

She was indeed pure force; Hill thought the health bars of the few Moon Clan she kicked must be dangerously low.

”Hill, don’t worry about the Moon Clan being as annoying as ants.” Using a fist to directly knock the nearest person into light, the ’Old Age Striking King’ cheerfully said, ”Just missed a few, the rest have been intercepted.”

Hill silently glanced at her before going to bash someone’s head himself.

He’d thought long about how to make these Aescian shiver at a glance, without dirtying himself.

Though bloodiness might be more intimidating, the thought of getting filthy with the blood of fools made him somewhat reluctant.

So this way was better.

First roast them with lightning, then pound them into a pancake with repeated punches; although there’s some splattered blood, the dwarf gloves take care of it, no worry about dirtying the clothes at all.

Hill considered himself meticulous, even preparing their coffins.

The first one Hill killed bore the least Light of Sin... so even though his hostility was strong, being one of the two who first cast spells on Hill, Hill chose to deal with him first.

Thus, even as the last one, terrified to the point of forgetting his status, pleaded for help aloud, Hill’s blows were unrelenting.

Yet when that person died, the expression on his face was one of relief... he thought this Earth Traveler would roast them half-dead then pound them alive!

Turns out it’s over in an instant?

Excellent.

The idea of becoming the laughingstock in others’ mouths was no longer his concern; a painless death filled him with gratitude.

Hill clapped his hands, glanced at the similarly stomped Moon Clan... speaking of which, it seemed they met even nastier ends.

After all, players are subjected to heavy damage, not instant death.

The ’Old Age Striking King’ stood amidst the circles of white light where the Moon Clan dissipated, regretfully saying, ”Is that it? They’re so pathetic? Then, what were they here for?”

”You can go down to fight.” Hill smiled slightly at her, ”I see those Moon Clan are still charging up!”

”Ah, they must charge.” The ’Old Age Striking King’ waved her hand, ”Although we can’t communicate with the Moon Clan, some things can still be discerned from the Danboro people, like those cities in the desert oasis.

The Undead Tribe is everywhere.

These few families...”

The ’Old Age Striking King’ leaned her small body out, peering into the four square metal boxes: ”They must have issued missions to the Moon Clan with Eosca.

They were quite cunning, using their own names to hire.

Although the advance this was paid, if they died, the final payment surely wouldn’t need paying.

The Moon Clan likely suffered a huge loss this time.

The little advance, it’s not even enough for their potion expenses.

Hill?

”What are you doing?”

”That evil god, the reason they’re coming over might not be just to trouble me.” Hilton paused for a moment and tilted his head towards the depths of the ground, ”Not just to trouble me.

After all, all she wants is the blood that flows from the dead Great Sage.”

”Hmm?” ’Old Age Striking King’ scratched his long hair, ”But I didn’t see you spill much blood!”

”Being clean is indeed a good thing,” Hill said softly, ”I hate blood and flesh splattering, so... I was a bit careful.”

”Having a cleanliness obsession is fine as long as it’s not too serious, but I’ve never seen it around me,” ’Old Age Striking King’ quickly added, ”Ah? Wait... you mean that evil god wanted to perform a blood ritual, but because you like cleanliness, she didn’t absorb any blood and flesh at all?”

”Uh, yeah.” Hill looked at her, ”Why don’t you ask Snow Cloud Peak if they want to clean this place up, or just let it grow slowly like this?”

He couldn’t help but scratch his head, ”After all, some blood and energy fell, I guess... at this speed, this thing... hmm, it could grow in ten years...”

Hill’s tone weakened, turning to the female priest, he hesitated and asked, ”I didn’t ruin his plan, did I?”

’Old Age Striking King’ had already taken out a tablet and was typing away, also sending the site pictures to ’Snow Cloud Peak.’

”Old Dog says it’s fine.” She quickly looked up and asked with a smile, ”When we’re talking, the others can only see an outline. They can’t hear, right?”

”Right.” Thanks to Toril, Hill was already used to setting various isolation spells and sound barriers while discussing business regardless of the empty place.

”Then it’s fine.” ’Old Age Striking King’ slightly curled up the corner of her mouth, ”Old Dog said it’s great to consume some of their people, and the more diverse the people, the better.

That way, you can find the true location of that evil god among these complexities.

Luciella and Ellie aren’t it.”

”Luciella, isn’t it?” Hill was slightly stunned.

”The Luciella that appeared in the desert is definitely not her.” ’Old Age Striking King’ laughed, ”As for whether the soul inside has changed control, that is unknown.”

”How did you discover that?” Hill was genuinely impressed.

”Thanks to Rose.” ’Old Age Striking King’ looked at the screen, ”Old Dog said when Luciella arrived, they sensed the movement of the mutated silk spiders and also noticed a few peekers.

But they quickly disappeared... just like Ellie before.

After observing for two days, that Spider Queen vanished without a trace.”

”Any other disturbances?”

”Old Dog has been watching the Temple.”

”What... does that mean?” Hill couldn’t help but look up at the sky, ”The deities of Aesces, though part of the God System, are not weak themselves!

How could something happen in their temple...”

”Not the priests,” ’Old Age Striking King’ giggled, ”Do you still remember the families of those Tyr Knights from Agleya?

They’re also considered part of the Tyr Temple, aren’t they?

But they’re not truly devout, nor do they need to pray at the Temple every day, right?”

Hill nodded dazedly and then looked up at the sky again.

’Old Age Striking King’ didn’t realize the true meaning of Hill looking up, just laughed and said, ”Old Dog said, Rose is probably not targeting Aesces. She doesn’t care much about silk spiders either.

After all, once this thing appears, she can create it in the future.

He thinks Rose is more focused on the entity behind that evil god.”

”What else did he say?” Hill asked incredulously.

”Hmm?” ’Old Age Striking King’ said in surprise, ”Is this matter that important?

Hmm... Old Dog said Rose probably sees spring and hope and wants to learn their skills.

So, Hill, is the mastermind behind this very powerful?

Ever since Teraxil started, Rose has been appearing in all kinds of conspiracies and intrigues!

Let’s not mention that fool, the Elven God King.

Elsewhere, although she fails, it’s always because the people and deities she targets are too strong, not because she’s too incompetent.

I feel that when Old Dog occasionally mumbles, it makes no sense, as if Rose should admire that... but obviously, she’s also planning to strike a blow.

A bit conflicting, isn’t it?”

No, it’s not conflicting at all.

No matter how many blows she delivers, it can’t hide one fact.

The opponent successfully got rid of her husband, in a way that is famous throughout the multiverse.
