Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1651: Chapter 229: Lucimar’s Delusion

’Snow Cloud Peak’ didn’t actually plan to meet Mr. Lucimar so soon, after all, the Undead Tribe wanted to deal with his biological mother.

And once they formally start the war, it’s hard to say how much Gaia will be affected, that woman is bound to suffer.

That Ismael would no longer recognize that woman’s identity... Then, whether the Great Sage would still acknowledge the child born from the woman whose soul was clearly devoured by the Evil God is very uncertain.

Especially since the other party definitely isn’t lacking sons.

Therefore, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ has always been a bit hesitant, only intending to get some information from Lucimar, without expecting this mage to stand on the same side as the Undead Tribe.

However, what he didn’t expect was, this Lucimar is really the smartest person he’s seen since coming to Aesces.

Ah, including deities.

Neither Aesces nor that Triton, not even Eosca who caused most of the trouble, gave him such a surprising feeling.

To be able to quickly grasp the main point in a few sentences and decisively strike.

Such a person can’t possibly not realize that once his mother’s identity is exposed, his future might only rely on himself... But he made the decision swiftly and decisively.

Such a person, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ is very willing to communicate face-to-face with him... MD, the recent correspondence with Aesces almost made him suspect he had returned to the White Dragon big classroom.

Yes, it’s the enlightenment classroom on the White Dragon Mountain for the little dragons about to come of age... Mainly to tell them the benefits of signing agreements with the Undead Tribe and the rules to abide by when choosing independence.

Once violated, they’ll only have the World’s Ridge to eat their own path.

They can’t return to White Dragon Mountain, they probably won’t even catch a few rabbits.

By rights, these things should be taught by the parents of these almost adult white dragons, but everyone knows their parents would rather choose to slack off.

Including Elvia, she would rather stay in Josse Garden listening to the annoying holy sound than teach a white dragon common sense.

Yet these white dragons can’t just be let out... The little dragons, accustomed to eating and drinking their fill and enjoying in the mountains, aren’t going to rush as impatiently as the previous white dragons who had someone to care for them.

However, leaving them to roam the Hidden Forest isn’t an option either, these are the white dragons that grew up and played together with Agleya and the little fairies!

The foolish white dragons before had dragon hunters splitting them into pieces, now, who would dare?

Who could hide from the eyes of Edna Mistrala, the goddess controlling the Weave!

Those two white dragon messengers could appear anytime, anywhere!

No choice, this time, with Mystra’s resurrection, Toril basically rarely has magic-free zones, and the white dragons with messenger divinity can directly appear in any position connected to the Weave.

The only consolation for Toril people now is that the chromatic dragons are truly not united, and Arausato and Elvia only care about the survival of Northern White Dragons.

Otherwise, life would be too hard to bear!

Dragons, especially white dragons, if they start acting arrogant, would humans have a way to survive?

However, Edna, raised by the Undead Tribe, still has very high standards.

She certainly doesn’t wish to see Elvia’s kin facing a life-or-death crisis, but she also wouldn’t allow these white dragons to rely on her power recklessly harming others.

Coupled with Lynn’s close cooperation... Agleya Municipal Officer isn’t too willing to see their raised white dragons become stew in someone’s pot.

Therefore, this big classroom appeared unbelievably at the foot of White Dragon Mountain, occasionally with curious little fairies tagging along as auditors.

At first, Edna and Lynn chose the residents of Agleya... However, from Tyr Paladins to Elven City Guards and then to battle-hardened professors in the Mage Academy, all fled in panic before the innocent-faced white dragon cubs.

They would rather choose to battle Tiamat than endure this torment again.

In the end, it was the Undead Tribe who took over.

Especially ’Snow Cloud Peak’, he even required all sub-unit commanders to complete a white dragon tutorial once.

After all, those who can calmly walk out of that big classroom under the torment of white dragons can definitely become a good commander who instantly finds solutions the moment any mistake occurs among team members.

Although they might be a bit irritable, if tasks can be completed and battles won, isn’t that enough!

Like now, the reason he’s able to stand on the cliff and remotely command rather than kneeling on the front line struggling, doing a soul command, is entirely due to the field control of these teams and family commanders!

’Snow Cloud Peak’ is very satisfied with his epiphany.

He was actually always cultivating his own successor... As for whether he would be overtaken, he didn’t care at all.

Someone with that ability wouldn’t need him for cultivation; they would have overthrown him long ago on their own.

And those he cultivated, their thinking and combat style all walked the path he paved, where would they get the chance to jump ahead of him?

’Snow Cloud Peak’ wasn’t worried at all; he only hoped that when they were fighting continuously, someone could hold the line for a bit, so not every issue would fall to him to solve.

Strategizing from afar and achieving victory from a thousand miles away had always been his dream, yet even in the game, he could only strategize over his own people’s heads, seeing only a vast expanse of whiteness before him.

Finally, after much difficulty, he had cultivated a competent assistant, only for the first world they went to be a hellhole like Aesces... This World Master truly rivaled the White Dragon in their unique ways.

But the White Dragon was purely an idiot, whereas this one’s brain couldn’t conjure a single drop of water.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ welcomed Lucimar with such enthusiasm that this slightly melancholic Archmage almost turned around and left.

Although he hadn’t been in contact with the Undead Tribe for long, he had acquired some understanding of these Otherworld visitors: whatever they found intriguing was definitely trouble, and whatever they were enthusiastic about was absolute super trouble.

The kind that could throw the world into chaos.

He might have been a bit unlucky, having a seemingly good but in fact fickle and cold-hearted father, and a seemingly gentle and kind but in fact black-hearted and cold-blooded mother, but Lucimar felt he wasn’t destined to be involved in such crucial matters as the survival or destruction of the world.

If he truly was... it would have to be because Aesces had gone blind.

Though the World Master was a bit slow, surely he wasn’t that bad, was he?

Luckily, ’Susu’, who was behind him, stood smilingly in front of him, exchanged a few words with the Commander about the earlier events, and calmed Lucimar down.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ hadn’t expected such a situation to arise, and so, in the face of ’Susu’ being remarkably clever and nimble for once, he gave a rare approving smile: ”Very good, well done.”

”By the way, Cunlü can’t be moved; let Xi Manman go, and let that woman struggle in vain to find us while we’re still admiring the scenery on the cliff with Archmage Lucimar.”

”If possible, try not to let the beautiful Lady Cunlü have any solo interactions with Lucy.” Lucimar interjected, ”She isn’t bad by nature, but she carries danger.”

”You know?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ pondered for a moment, brought up the tablet, and enlarged a picture of Ellie for him to see. ”Is it the issue with the pupils?”

Lucimar’s eyes widened, and after seriously observing for a while, he said: ”Yes, it’s identical.

Ellie... isn’t she the one being controlled by the not-quite-dead Goddess of the Sea?”

”You’re thinking they aren’t the same person, are you?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ asked thoughtfully.

”Definitely not,” Lucimar stated emphatically, ”Her abilities are mostly soul-oriented, and her combat prowess isn’t strong.”

”That might not necessarily be the case,” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ blinked and smiled, ”but she might not be of use.”

”Have you guys already figured out who she is?” Lucimar pressed his lips together and asked.

”Let’s not talk about who she is for now... Mr. Lucimar, are you sure you want to stand with us?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ asked seriously, ”Moreover, I can tell you first, she is very strong.

She is comparable to your World Master Aesces in strength.

Moreover, she doesn’t care if her children by birth don’t share her flesh and blood; as long as you obey, she will certainly lead you to...”

”Who cares?” Lucimar cut him off decisively, ”She doesn’t need a son; she needs a mass of flesh and blood that follows her command.

She should have given birth to a monster that has power but no ability to think, which would perfectly fit her wishes.”

He couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh and then spoke through gritted teeth, ”I investigated for a long time; if it weren’t for her, my mother would actually not have an impossible chance of resurrection, only that she would have to stay in that ice coffin for several more decades.”

He glanced at ’Snow Cloud Peak’, who seemed about to speak, and said mockingly, ”Don’t listen to those ridiculous rumors outside; I’m 70 this year, and she revived over a hundred years ago.

You should understand what this means... until then, my mother’s body was considered truly resurrected.

Even if it weren’t her, I would still have been born.”

Lucimar’s gritted-teeth remarks made ’Snow Cloud Peak’ raise an eyebrow... he really didn’t know how to tell this Archmage that if your mother had chosen a different position, there might have been a girl instead.

But such physiological knowledge wasn’t his place to impart; whether this Archmage felt he was born solely from that resurrected body or not, ultimately, the outcome was destined for that being.

He merely invited this Archmage to sit on a stone bench nearby, while he leaned back against a cliff with a crack in it and slowly introduced Gaia’s past and present lives, as well as her complex lineage heritage... of course, it wasn’t necessary to talk about matters after Zeus’s ascendancy, just mentioning their continued existence would suffice.

After all, his mouth wasn’t immune to fatigue.
