Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1617: Chapter 195: Triton Blows the Conch Shell

No matter the circumstance, the former Goddess of the Sea before them chose without hesitation to fight Triton to the death.

However, ground meat is not real clay, no matter how hot it gets, it cannot become pottery or porcelain.

In contrast, due to the massive waves brought by Triton, small and large black scars kept sliding off her body into the sea.

Hill couldn’t help but glance under the sea... then he felt the dozens of eyes filled with longing gazing his way from ahead.

He couldn’t help but shake his head, sighing, ”Just as you imagined, they’ve all become bizarre ocean creatures, starting not too large, but definitely sea monsters.”

”At first?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ responded keenly, ”So Hill means these sea monsters grow larger the further they are from Triton, right?”

”Hmm.” Hill nodded slightly.

”Then... can we also say that even though this Goddess of the Sea is still clashing with Triton, it doesn’t mean she hasn’t sent a clone to escape?” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ pondered aloud.

”Triton only wants to destroy this main entity.” Hill smiled, resolving his confusion, ”Sea monsters, no matter how large they grow, or how many appear, mean nothing to him.

Scaret has so many Great Sages that it’s impossible for these sea monsters to destroy the nation.

But this entity being present is unacceptable.

She truly has the power to devastate continents.

Triton’s struggle isn’t because he’s weak, nor is it due to Aesces being harsh on him.

Compared to Triton, Aesces definitely wouldn’t want such a powerful Evil God around; this is a monster that cannot be negotiated with or reconciled.”

Hill looked up at Triton, who was uncaringly using his tail to swat away a great deal of rotten mud with force: ”You see, he doesn’t fear this mud that can turn into sea monsters at all.

Splitting is easy, fusion is hard.

To grow back to such a massive size, it would take at least thousands of years... that is, if Triton, this Ocean God, weren’t prepared from the start.

To avoid his gaze and create something like this again, it would take at least ten thousand years next time.

But by then, Aesces may not be what he is today, who knows!”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ nodded: ”Ah~ what we seek seems inevitably to come.”

Hill gave him a confirming smile... with Triton’s personality and his current vigilance towards Eosca, this Mermaid Prince will surely choose to summon a large number of the Moon Clan.

Then attempt to draw the battlefield with the Undead Tribe to the seas, instead of just letting the summoned Moon Clan assault the coast... he definitely wouldn’t agree to that.

Thus, besides Basia City, which directly confronts the Eye of the Sea God across a narrow strait, other battlefields are likely to be drawn to the islands Triton raises up for this purpose.

Hill had already noticed this; Triton has never allowed the Moon Clan onto Scaret’s homeland!

Though not of the same root, they are of the same race, but he understands the Moon Clan’s unreliability best among the deities.

But then, it’ll depend on the talks between Triton and Aesces.

For Triton to get Aesces’ allowance to raise so many islands, the cost he must pay is not small indeed~

Unless he is willing to use his Scaret.

”Triton really values Scaret! He’d rather compromise with Aesces himself to first eliminate the greatest threat.” Hill couldn’t help but sigh, ”Sure enough, he cherishes the children he created with shells... perhaps it’s because of the trauma from his first shell daughter being accidentally killed by Athena?”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ turned to Hill, squinting and smiling... Hill is reminding him that if helping with Aesces negotiations, they should start with Scaret’s safety, right?

Compared to this mess, clearly Triton is more guarded against the Moon Clan.

He’s been observing the Eye of the Sea God Island for a while now and has already noticed that Scaret’s navy has never had any interaction with the Moon Clan.

The Moon Clan accepting missions looks a bit like their Undead Tribe when they first arrived at Saral... apart from a few fixed NPCs, the others all avoided direct contact.

But at that time, it was because most of Saral’s people were ordinary, with even few apprentices.

But not Scaret!

Even their ordinary citizens have levels, much more so than the navy around the Crown Prince.

Triton, disgruntled, swatted away the slowly incoming mud... daring to resent him!

Yes, he is indeed the culprit that made her this way, but that was the result of mutual calculation, this foolish woman’s loss!

Did she really think a powerful Ocean Lord would gladly let her be the master behind the curtain?

Let him, Triton, incur all of Aesces’ wrath, then let the both of them perish, allowing Aesces to become her ocean world... letting Oasis become an island was this woman’s greatest dream!

A fairly beautiful dream, so Triton straightforwardly turned her into an island of life herself.

But he honestly didn’t expect this woman had long been controlled by Exterior Gods~

Although it was her own ambition, approaching him, Triton, might have a god backing this, possibly even one from his hometown.

Triton was infuriated.

He clearly knew there might be an enemy of his father above the homeland’s ocean, but surely not of his own.

Poseidon, after all, had attracted all hatred by his own might, and Triton bore the exact face of his mother, separating Triton from Poseidon in the calculations of many wise ocean beings.

Therefore, the homeland’s deities must be either Zeus and his lineage, that old lecher, or... damn, it’s the common enemy of their ocean, sky, and Netherworld, Gaia.

As for Rhea, those unfamiliar with the Greek Gods might think of her as the second Earth Mother Goddess, but Triton would not.

Unless Zeus is dead, Rhea would never step out of her Earth Temple.

His grandmother~ heh~

Forget it, no need to ponder further.

Gaia, however, is indeed deeply hated by even Poseidon’s lineage, capable of taking such dark actions without mercy.

Even knowing something happened to him would upset only his biological mother, not his father who mounts even horses alike.

Triton irritably flicked his tail, gazing at his scaled fin with a fierce grievance... what sin has he committed to endure such suffering!

His sleek, beautiful scales, why must they swipe disgusting ground meat!

Damn, this must be Gaia!

Besides her, who would create something so revolting?

Triton initially intended to turn this Sea Goddess into some energy source... yet it became this abomination!

Humph! Turning mud into bio forms is Earth Mother Goddess’ innate talent!

Triton pursed his lips, exploding with fury as he grabbed the conch in his hand.

Hill was startled, rapidly waving his hand... the wind wall surrounding the Cloud Platform spun fiercely, and a water curtain rose around the Cloud Platform.

The Undead Tribe sensed Hill’s caution and couldn’t resist tipping their toes to peek... it was clear this BOSS was about to unleash a big move that even Hill needed to cautiously guard against.

The conch emitted a monstrous roar... even though Hill laid down such potent protections, the Undead Tribe standing atop the Cloud Platform couldn’t help but cover their ears.

Endless waves soared into the sky, streams rushing ferociously like beasts towards the massive rotten creature.

However, the mud monster seemed daunted by the conch’s sound, motionless and finally shattered into countless fragments by the boundless torrent, scattering leisurely onto the sea surface.

”Hill...” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ turned to Hill, somewhat shocked, ”Is Triton really that strong? I curse him every day...”

”No worries.” Hill smiled as he reassured him, ”He is indeed a Greek God, what hasn’t he gone through? Being cursed daily is common. He’s long since automatically filtered out all the curses directed at him.”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ blinked, sensing he might have missed something in his Greek mythology.

”Are you stupid?” ’Old Age Striking King’ softly said behind him, ”In the Multiverse’s Greek Gods, if they still acted like myth, they’d certainly be cursed wherever they went!”

’Snow Cloud Peak’ couldn’t help but scratch his face... ah, true, Hill’s understanding of the Greek Gods is likely different from theirs.

He couldn’t resist tilting his head to ponder: ”Elder, does your Edna’s library have an introduction on the Greek Gods stepping into the Universe?”

”Isn’t it already certain to be Gaia? What bothers you?” ’Old Age Striking King’ seemed surprised, ”There are indeed.”

”Anyway, it won’t be me going to check. I only need to summarize.”
