Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1636: Chapter 214: The Apocalyptic Boss Who Nearly Questioned His Own Life

‘Lu Huayu’ ‘s boundless imagination didn’t affect his quick and sharp communication with ‘Snow Cloud Peak’.

The best thing about both being wise is that just writing a name and adding two words lets you understand what the other wants to say, without wasting a lot of detailed descriptions.

Then he lightly lifted his head and curiously asked Ambori: “Are we, Ambori, completely unaware of that Seth?”

“He’s playing with the desert~” Ambori replied nonchalantly, “It’s a bit like a beach, I just feel like flooding it. If it weren’t for his strange relationship of being in the same godly domain with An He while fighting every day, I wouldn’t even bother to look at him.”

“Then, did you see him playing with scorpions?” Lu Huayu followed up with a question.

“Scorpions and some black, white, and golden beetles were flying in the wind.” Ambori recalled slightly hesitantly, “My sharks have eaten them and said they weren’t tasty at all.”

Lu Huayu raised an eyebrow… He somewhat understood why ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ specifically went to see William… or rather, William’s neighbor, Shaer… to confirm this, and then asked him to inquire a bit about Ambori.

Sharks, especially those from Toril, when driven crazy with hunger, would even munch on seaweed, let alone consider corpse flesh and bugs as a decent snack. They even relish spiders.

Yet, they found those insects unpalatable.

It seems they were indeed necromancy worms, which in the area of Mulholland, are known as sacred scarabs that consume corpses and absorb undead energy.

Seth actually dared to play with necromancy in Toril… tsk, even AO wouldn’t be so audacious as to meddle in the Styx with a godly hand so openly.

Therefore, bringing that Aphos to Toril was very likely the doing of the true Lord of the Styx, Jacob.

He tilted his head in thought and typed a line on the tablet: “Maybe, you can let the Elder ask her daughter?”

Rather than wildly speculating here, why not directly ask Edna.

The Goddess of Magic might have a way to contact Kranvo… and as long as the Grim Reaper can satisfy his beloved wife’s boss, he would definitely sell out his own boss completely.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ looked at his tablet and rubbed his forehead.

Honestly, he didn’t expect that, compared to Shaer, Ambori was actually the one more familiar with the matters of the past… especially that goddess Aphos, who was taken down.

However, he studied the timeline and noticed that Shaer seemed to be fiercely clashing with her own sister back then, completely indifferent to other matters.

During that time, she was even devouring other aspects to keep Serenay from noticing, just to eliminate a few more Silvermoon priests. ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ clearly remembers the tragedy of the dark lizard in the Underdark, the then-deity of the multi-headed Hydra, who met her end due to her unfortunate residence in Suren’s main worship district.

The elves, though gossipy, usually embellish the truth without making things up entirely, which is why ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ finds this rumor fairly credible.

Especially those followers of the Luna aspect… Shaer seemed determined to wipe them out.

She appeared more tolerant of Suren’s existence but had an intense loathing for Luna, who was kind, merciful, and always composed, answering prayers from her followers unstintingly.

Maybe, possibly, Shaer felt that Serenay’s tendency to be easily swayed had been fully inherited by the Merciful Moon?

During the time when Suren was protected by Shuni, Luna’s faith grounds were almost entirely flattened by the Lady of the Night.

However, those half-orcs and beastified people initially worshipped Luna under the Silvermoon’s protection.

After Serenay gradually reclaimed her divine authority, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ always felt she wasn’t so indiscriminately broadcasting her aura of benevolence; it seems that the real her does have boundaries.

Speaking of which, being able to split herself so completely, rather than due to devouring other aspects, causing differences in personality, shows that the Goddess Serenay is indeed the most peculiar spark in the chaotic system Silvermoon goddesses.

Every time he reads her stories, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ is immensely grateful that Teraxil’s just overly lively… the Undead Tribe had once secretly discussed that perhaps because the first time she caused havoc, it threw the world into chaos, nearly ending up either in the Abyss or Hell, Teraxil’s Goddess of the Silvermoon doesn’t dare to stir trouble anymore and thus behaves quietly.

After all, Teraxil’s Goddess of the Earth is much more lenient toward her own deities compared to Aesces, but the Undead Tribe finds Aesces’s Silvermoon Goddess a bit more pretentious… Over such a long period, those skilled in writing have already produced a comprehensive summary of deities.

While most don’t have the patience to study themselves, if someone puts it together, everyone will take a glance.

After all, these deities in the game, whether good or bad, wise or foolish, are particularly dramatic.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ summarized William’s wife’s ambiguous response: Anyway, always devoted to the bright moon, Shaer, who doesn’t care at all about the antics of those decadent women in the ditches, just knew that because Xaries had excessively devoured other deities… even Xaries herself didn’t know what was going on with certain aspects… she had largely entered the realm of darkness.

In that case, she naturally wouldn’t be courteous, with the willing sacrifice connected to Shuni, who had sheltered Serenay, served right up to her door!

Xaries’ social connections are quite broad.

If she were to swallow it, using her to stir up trouble a few times could turn Celene from Suren into a scarecrow!

When Shaer mentioned this, there was a clear sense of sudden realization… No wonder Shuni and Hanali Celanil actively saved a useless waste of a cat; turns out they have a shared secret.

As goddesses who killed a powerful yet non-evil aligned Exterior God, they should logically be cursed by the God system and Laws that the deity belonged to. Clearly, Xaries, as the main perpetrator and connector of the assassination, bore the most sins… If she were swallowed by Shaer, all those sins would be evident to Shaer’s abilities, and she’d throw them at those Pool of Radiance goddesses without hesitation.

Maybe even add some more weight.

Ah, saying “maybe” underestimates Shaer; doubling the stakes is more her style.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ thought about it for a while and found Chief Eunuch Lu’s suggestion more reliable, but now there’s a bigger issue… How do we bring back the ‘Old Age Striking King’ who’s making a killing at sea for a chat?

He turned to the tablet and switched to the Black Rose’s live channel, carefully searching for the location of the female priest… The ‘Old Age Striking King’ must be where the fight is fiercest; the camera is bound to follow.

Then ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ couldn’t help but sigh: easy to find, but that pretty and cute smiling face was filled with excitement and ferocity, and under that jumping figure, enemies were wailing as blood flowed.

It’s rare for him as the Commander to still be alive after so long into the battle, and he isn’t keen on seeking death himself.

He tilted his head, pondering for a while, suddenly realizing something: ‘Lu Huayu’ could handle Ambori, maybe he could also communicate well with Old Age?

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly typed, expressing his thoughts in a sufficiently tactful tone: “Eunuch Lu, seeing how just my words won’t convince the Old Age Striking King, they need direct communication with Ambori.”

“Want me to take the hit for you?” Upon seeing these words, ‘Lu Huayu’ coldly smiled, as the ten fingers swiftly tapping on the tablet almost sparked a flash of lightning and thunder, “Do you think I’m stupid or stupid?

Get rolling swiftly!”

Ambori looked down: “Is there something you need me to do?”

“Nothing, we’re just discussing whether Jacob would know about some things over there.” ‘Lu Huayu’ raised his head, showing a gentle smile, “You should know, the old guy knows a lot, but… he surely enjoys seeing Toril Gods misfortune, so even if he knows, he’d just secretly enjoy it.”

However, we have someone who can contact Kranvo and might be able to find something out.”

“Oh…” Ambori blinked her large blue-green eyes, suddenly showing an innocent expression, “Jacob does know a lot.”

‘Lu Huayu’ keenly understood her implication: “You… Jacob… his alliances are quite manipulative, look at Milko who died without a trace, and Cyric who’s so mad he’d send himself to a man’s mouth!

These were all closely related to him once!

Kranvo is intact because he’s oblivious!

The wiser ones are more easily trapped by the old guy!

So Ambori, don’t get too involved with him, okay? I’m worried.”

The Apocalyptic Boss, who’d been crouching beside ‘Lu Huayu’ watching their fortress’ bombardment through binoculars, inhaled sharply and then exhaled slowly: he now felt there was no need to care about how Chief Steward Lu was teaching Ambori.

Otherwise, he’d start questioning life.

After all, he too was praised for being mighty… Wait, when ‘Lu Huayu’ praised him, it was all about his appearance and his equipment, even the ship and Alchemy Hut and such.

That’s alright, if it’s something that money can solve, he’s definitely the best, and there’s no doubt about that.

Seems Chief Steward Lu hasn’t been too harsh on him.

Ambori was unfazed by the subtle moves her good friend made; she was always someone who cared only about what she wanted to see and know.

So she just pursed her lips and smiled, “Hmm! I won’t get involved with the Lord of the Styx.”

He used to say the Styx was also a river, not completely unrelated to me.

At that time, I needed allies, so I didn’t refuse communication with him.”
