Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1612: Chapter 190: Snow Cloud Peak’s Scheme

Of course Hill knew about the recent happenings.

Although Windmill Jasmine cannot communicate directly like Lily of the Valley, it can tell him what happened through the Mental Sea.

Hence, when ’Battlefield Lightening,’ pushed by ’Lu Huayu,’ came knocking on his tower door, Hill readily agreed.

And he permitted Ditte to defer payment... using post-calamity resource prices to offset the current grass price.

No choice, nowadays in Aesces, nothing is as valuable as green plants, and those precious minerals that cannot immediately be put to use have nearly slashed their prices in half.

And yet, Hill’s lawn was of outrageous value even during relatively normal days in the past — a price that the Undead Tribe could take to profiteer.

Although according to normal market logic, Hill deserves to make money, he felt no need to earn this difference.

After all, if not for Ditte, no one within the walls could have touched that lawn.

The relationship between Eden and Hill was not good enough for them to freely bypass the blockade and enter there.

Even though Basia People kept trying to connect with those Undead Tribe, and even though they’re offering doubled prices, only the Last-Era Clan members left guarding the shops go in every morning to pluck some leaves and fruits from magic plants to make Alchemy Potions — other Undead Tribe members still couldn’t even enter the door.

Especially those who have been excluded from the clan and thus had their reputation progress nullified in the family name, seeing the Last-Era Clan, who once had the worst relationship with Hill, swagger by with a bunch of fresh flowers and green grasses was truly a mixture of feelings.

Not exactly full of emotions, after all, being excluded and choosing freely with management’s consent to leave the clan are two different matters — they have long known this worst outcome.

As long as their actions are questioned... And the Proud Sky Alliance would definitely not have a soft-hearted Clan Leader or management.

They clearly understood their inevitable fate and also gained more benefits, making them feel that this sacrifice was worthwhile; yet sometimes, seeing past enemies — who are certainly still enemies now but no longer enemies of their former friends and clan — evokes a strange feeling.

Of course, when discussing military exploits alone, they are quite satisfied.

The greatest advantage of cooperating with Eden is that the military exploits are always high, and their ranking surpasses many of the former mad brushers of Proud Sky Alliance.

After all, the Proud Sky Alliance wants to compete with them, so they can only find Mutated Silk Spiders desperately.

The easiest way to establish military exploits, which is through war with the Moon Clan, they truly find hard to achieve, ha, they can’t even touch the edge of the Moon Clan.

At most, they can only go to the desert!

But in the desert, those Moon Clan who follow Eosca, because of the God of Portals, are very scattered.

No choice, the Oases vary in size and have low capaciousness — they rely entirely on portals to maintain communication.

And by the seaside, especially on the Cain Valley side, Proud Sky Alliance wants to attack the Moon Clan, they have to bypass the sea monsters’ blockade line stretching for dozens of kilometers first.

Even if they broke through, how much fighting power would they have to deal with the Moon Clan who recuperates in their stronghold?

Hence, in the top 100,000 of the military exploits leaderboard, not many from Proud Sky Alliance are seen.

This is why even if they lost money, they still find their choice justified... Actually, they know perfectly well, in such times of calamity, with Hill around, there is money — a place where Little Bear resides surely can’t lack green.

Trading with Aesces locals or the Evil God controlling sea monsters, it basically isn’t possible to make big money.

In any world, there aren’t few refined egoists; in truth, most Undead Tribe understand this thought process.

Like those who don’t participate in the civil war but love vying for military exploits from neutral clans, don’t they know, the better benefits can only be obtained by staying in Basia City?

But obviously, once they confirmed that Cain Valley only accepted their own from the Proud Sky Alliance— including those few PVE clans who have been mingling with Proud Sky Alliance and those related to the Last-Era Clan but not accepting any outsiders — they immediately started packing, preparing to move to other cities.

They’d rather fight to the death with Mutated Silk Spiders than stay here to fawn over Eden.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ initially didn’t expect their reaction to be so intense.

After all, these people, even when Snow Cloud Peak and Eden openly had a falling out, remained silent all along.

Moreover, in the past, they were very willing to take advantage of Proud Sky Alliance’s distraction to kick them while they were down, and quickly rob more military exploits — although Snow Old Dog and Proud Sky Alliance had maintained politeness, not expelling the Scattered Ones, their strength in numbers, superior equipment, and several clans working together naturally formed a monopoly.

The Scattered Ones wouldn’t dislike them, but calling them names occasionally wasn’t abnormal.

And now, at this critical moment, they still remained silent but chose to vote with their feet.

Yet ’Snow Cloud Peak’ was quite happy seeing this outcome.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so eager to eliminate that clann from the Oasis... Initially, he wanted Luciella to exert a little more charm, drag down some more clans!

Anyway, few are good things, once they step out, it’s a whole red sea, making people itch to act.

Then, that time, Proud Sky Alliance should have also been settled... though Cloud Platform is slow, it’s but a month flying over, right?

Perfectly, one can utilize those portals to directly max out military exploits.

But now, he has to find a better place for these families and Scattered Ones leaving Basia.

Since they chose the justice in their hearts, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ would not let them feel like they did something futile... otherwise in a month’s time, when these people discover that Proud Sky Alliance has been prepared all along, while only they were abandoned, it would be extremely hurtful and damaging to their dignity.

Otherwise, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ wouldn’t be in such a hurry to use the fragrance of Windmill Jasmine and reach agreements with those Great Nobility keen on importing grains, fruits, and vegetables from Cain Valley.

After all, he had hinted to those Undead Tribe leaving Basia, that desert military exploits aren’t low, at least before they reach the desert, create an appropriate environment for them.

And then... he once considered leaving from Cain Valley on this side, not playing with Scaret over there, seems to be a temporary idea to set aside.

Only let those scattered Proud Sky Alliance members within the inland area, and the third batch of entering members, head towards the desert.

Then inevitably, they need to deal with the group of sea monsters at the gate first.

Moreover, find a way to raise the crisis sense of that Scaret’s Triton, stop just watching the Continental games because of inability to replenish due to drought, and hiding on one side to watch the spectacle.

Poseidon’s son... even if he looks the part, he still carries a bit of that dumbass gene.

Really, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ thinks even if Ambori squatted there, he would at least cooperate with Aesces first to clear out the sea monsters.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ originally thought he was trying to act like a boss, to extract some benefits from Aesces, but Triton actually watched from beginning to end, while Aesces looked frantically beleaguered, as corrupt sea monsters kept appearing in the middle of the ocean!

Even when the behind-the-scenes hand might be related to their Greek Gods, even when that threat to the ocean wasn’t as big as he previously imagined, wasn’t the former Goddess of the Sea still trying to revive?

What was he thinking... when the rival isn’t strong enough, just watch her grow stronger, and then exhaust herself trying to beat her down, leaving herself half-dead, feeling miserable from potential severe injury?

’Snow Cloud Peak’ couldn’t help but flipping over the parts of Greek Mythology depicting Poseidon... then suddenly found Triton actually appeared more presentable than his father... probably due to having a good mother.

That Ocean Goddess Queen Amphitrite, although she had Gaia’s lineage, she more inherited the naiads lineage, she’s a true Ocean Fairy.

Hence Triton could alternate between being dumb and reasonably smart.

As of now, he’s being dumb.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ thinks he must think of some ways, throw more ice blocks, ice mountains, ice storms, to temporarily freeze the waters of the Mermaid Prince’s mind full of seawater.

At least negotiate with him well enough, and figure out a way to let some Moon Clan in.

Just these useless ones outside Basia City’s sea monster defense line can’t break through... how can Triton be watching this so intently?

These people bear his followers’ names!

Ambori... never mind, better not to humiliate Ambori.

Poseidon’s gods, unworthy.

Think of that Lady of Pain, and you know their highest standards are just that.
