Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1637: Chapter 215: Someone Wants to Feed the Sharks

‘Lu Huayu’ said with a bright smile: “I knew Ambori has always been clever, how could something go wrong.

Communication is certainly no problem, just don’t get too deep.

Now in Toril, there aren’t really any enemies worth Ambori making a big fuss over, are there?

Also, I remember you said last time you got back in touch with Olypher, kind of… rediscovered a bit of past friendship?”

Ambori nodded: “My relationship with Olypher is a bit awkward, but compared to other deities, there’s a bit of friendship because of the past.

She now has a good relationship with the Undead Tribe… you know that, right?

It’s just that the Undead Tribe taught her followers how to use the simplest magic to create appropriate transportation tools on the ice and snow, and then established that courier service point in all cold regions where there are Undead Tribe territories.

After completely reclaiming the divinity of cold wind, she even granted them the ability to traverse blizzards.

Ordinary goods in The North basically rely on them for delivery.

No one knows how the Undead Tribe did it, even the barbarians in Icewind Valley let them enter their territories to deliver goods.

Anyway, Olypher is very obedient now, and Agleya’s requirements ensure she doesn’t do anything she shouldn’t, plus the Undead Tribe kind of helped her expand her winter courier divinity…”

The lengthy speech made Ambori suddenly a bit confused: “I see she’s quite happy doing it.

Is what you told me last time, about having my Sharkmen followers handle marine transport, really feasible?”

“We should start trying with the coastal regions belonging to the Undead Tribe’s territory first.” Lu Huayu’s eyes lit up, immediately replying with a smile, “You see, let’s not mention our base in Yinbutu, but in Kalinsan, Anmur, plus Chult, and even the former Harua side, there are territories controlled by the Undead Tribe.

In the past two years, the demand for food transport has been very large, however… large pirate groups are absent, but those reckless little bandits are never few.

Even if caught by us Undead Tribe, they don’t meet a good end, but those grains are all spoiled.

However, our Undead Tribe’s fleet, which grain seller can afford to hire them!

If our Sharkmen are willing to take this job, surely money will roll in!”

Ambori pressed her lips with her hand and bizarrely asked: “Then how much tax can I collect?”

The Apocalyptic Boss with a telescope turned sharply: What did he hear?

The money earned from this hard labor might just let the Sharkmen live better!

Hasn’t Ambori always felt the Sharkmen are too few?

Yet in Toril, those Shark-heads are practically at the point where even a slightly leveled professional can take them down.

Several apprentices joining forces can escape from the Shark-heads!

What kind of filter does Ambori have on her creation to think they can earn big money?

Lu Huayu looked calm, not finding it strange at all… If Ambori wasn’t so meticulous, she wouldn’t personally steal people’s jewelry, right?

That thing is probably just a few… at most, twenty gold coins, and she’s reluctant to give it up!

He just laughed gently and said: “Those hiring Sharkmen for delivery should offer you a tribute first, surely!

The rest, we don’t need to dispute, after all, Ambori doesn’t need wealth the most!

Didn’t we agree last time to cultivate some Pearl Shells in the Yinbutu bay?

With enough pearls, is there anything that can’t be obtained?”

Ambori suddenly realized, nodding quickly: “Right, and coral, I’ve even managed to get the coral polyps over, with every color!”

A satisfied smile appeared on her face: “I nearly forgot, I can now open a shop to sell things!”

Of course, if she opened it herself, it would be impossible, before Toril people went crazy, how could they enter a shop opened by Ambori?

Ambori wouldn’t just take money without delivering goods; she’d even snatch people’s wallets away.

Those shops are opened by the Last-Era Clan for her… not only backed by their clan, but trading goods uses the kind of automatic trade alchemy shop intelligent puppet from Teraxil.

Although Ambori still can’t bear to send out any valuable thing from her hand… even something worth a copper coin… she painfully refrains from looking or thinking about it.

Luckily, although the Sharkmen have poor combat abilities and not-so-good brains, they’re rather decent workers.

Ambori doesn’t care about anything else, just that money keeps coming in.

After giving up the focus on money, Ambori realized what Lu Huayu truly wanted her to receive: widespread faith.

Before Agleya came to Toril, even though her shrines were throughout every coast, at that time, every copper coin accompanied a curse.

Although Ambori didn’t care, curse or not! They still had to sing praises of Ambori with their mouths.

But her friend didn’t seem to like it, constantly trying to change her image.

As the God of Destruction, Ambori is more accustomed to gaining faith through human fear, but… the enormous goddess looked down at ‘Lu Huayu’, deciding to let this little concession go!

Do mortals dare not fear her, the Queen of the Sea, anymore?

“Hmm?” She suddenly turned her head, looking towards the southern coastline.

“What is it?” ‘Lu Huayu’ immediately asked.

“That annoying aura seems to want to do something to my sharks,” Ambori said coldly, “Don’t know where they got rotten meat from, intending to feed it to the Sharkmen.”

“On the edge of the Endless Vines area?” ‘Lu Huayu’ pulled out a tablet, “I’ll have someone check it out and feed your sharks meanwhile.”

Ambori said slowly: “It’s a waste of money; they can now eat the fruit and leaves of the Endless Vines.”

The Apocalyptic Boss looked at her with a face full of horror.

“Why does he always look at me with that expression?” Ambori pointed at the Apocalyptic Boss, “The emotional reactions of your Undead Tribe mean nothing to me, whether it’s surprise or fear.

You don’t need…”

‘Lu Huayu’ certainly understood what Ambori wanted to say, so he decisively interrupted her, “He also manages many subordinates, just like you manage the Sharkmen.

He believes his management of subordinates is far inferior to yours, hence his surprised admiration. Don’t worry about him.”

Anyway, the Apocalyptic Boss wouldn’t dare to emulate Ambori’s management method, ‘Lu Huayu’ wasn’t worried at all.

Ambori blinked and nodded: “Indeed, no subordinates are easier to manage than creations of the deities.”

The Apocalyptic Boss truly felt like each day was endless… once this battle is over, he would definitely not linger around Ambori anymore.

He might as well stay on the fortress and fire the cannon!

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ furrowed his brow, turning to look behind him: “Who’s there?”

“I’m here, what’s up?” ‘Qiuqiu’ poked his head out from behind a large rock.

“Hmm… you… never mind, you’ll do!” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ muttered, “Go find ‘Cunlü’ and ‘Hard Wind’… they’re now scoring on Black Rose’s cliff defense zone, not in the sea.

Ask them to take a backup team to the southernmost part of the Endless Vines and feed the sharks, Ellie should be there.

Also, follow them and remember to livestream for me.

This time be careful, don’t overlook anything again!”

‘Qiuqiu’, initially smiling happily, turned somber at his first remark.

Snow Old Dog this bastard always only remembers others’ mistakes.

Since last time letting that bunch of female mages with Goddess of Magic fragments cause trouble under her nose, she had done so much work, yet in his eyes, she was still like that: either a ‘Dumb Ball’ or a careless spirit.

But ‘Qiuqiu’ also knew, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ commanding the battle never allows contradiction, his mouth only worsens the insults… and she doesn’t have the old age skill to shut him up with fists.

Moreover, even the ‘Old Age Striking King’, only settles scores afterward, never interfering during Snow Old Dog’s command.

So even if extremely dissatisfied, ‘Qiuqiu’ still grumbled curses before leaving.

Sitting in the Cloud Realm, Hill quickly saw this oddly assembled team.

After the official battle began, the Undead Tribe’s Defensive Knights and Priests were unlikely to stay in the backup zone, including those newcomers with low levels, all were engaging in the sea battle.

Then, the magical system professionals able to attack from a distance behind the knights naturally all followed suit.

In the end, those sticking to close combat, preferring one-hit kills, playing with short swords and daggers… if in Eden, they might be named thieves or assassins.

But William would absolutely not allow such a profession in his game.

So, they transformed into various types of swordsmen… like thin swords wielders.

Generally, during small battles with the Moon Clan, their lethality wasn’t bad, sacrifices in defense and stamina traded for absolute attack power.

But now in this kind of prolonged, tug-of-war battle, especially when both sides are still probing and basically engaging in long-range attacks, they’re somewhat awkward.

After all, charging in surely means death isn’t feared, but going in without taking out even one enemy and dying, is a meaningless sacrifice.

So the backup teams of various noble clans mainly consisted of numerous swordsmen, escorting a few priests for various reasons, all below fifth level.

Wearing particularly glamorous attire, ‘Hard Wind’ and ‘Cunlü’, escorted by a group of leather-clad swordsmen heading south, stood out, along with a red-haired, black-robbed female mage, very conspicuous.

Especially when they reached the south and did not engage in battle, instead throwing a large quantity of fresh meat to the Sharkmen lurking amidst the Endless Vines.

Those just-awakened Sharkmen, facing the delivered food, rushed towards the long dike without hesitation.

Wearing a white off-shoulder dress and crystal high heels, ‘Cunlü’ smiled gracefully as she handed something to a white shark… the Shark-head immediately dropped the pale fish meat it was holding.
