Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1614: Chapter 192: Wishful Thinking, Aesces

Aesces, with no other choice, cooperated very well this time.

Even Snow Cloud Peak felt it was a bit too well, the cooperation made him a bit uneasy.

Why does he have no opinion of his own and rely entirely on him to plan?

Wouldn’t this cause some problems?

He sought out Hill again.

Hill was very helpless, only able to ponder and say, ”You’ve seen Aesces’ working style; he’s a rule-abiding type.

If you have him do this, he’ll only lay out the conditions openly and let Triton choose.

However, isn’t your hope that on the surface, Triton is the one facilitating this?

Aesces can’t do it; he’ll just use force to pressure people.

Look at Ismael, don’t you understand?

Why does he like such a flamboyant, carefree, yet flawed fellow?

Because he can understand.

You... hmm, can you just consider him like a thunderbolt with some understanding?

Snow Cloud Peak blinked: If Battle Field Thunderbolt once discovers someone against him, his first reaction is to roll up his sleeves for a fight.

Whether he can win or not is another story.

Also, while willing to follow behind him as the alliance hierarch, true good friends, including his subordinates, are all straightforward like him.

So, Aesces, though learning from AO, hopes his subordinates are all like Tyr, ah, no, that’s embarrassing Tyr.

All like Thunder?

If the enemy doesn’t move, I don’t move. You don’t move, I still don’t move?

Then when I move, it’s earth-shattering, not rest until one dies. Who dies is doomed?

What’s the point of playing then! The world’s collapse is just an eventuality!

Wait... he suddenly raised his head: ”So, Aesces’ various lesser gods have been silent not because they have no right to speak, but because they simply... can’t think of what to do?

They’ve become accustomed to listening to Aesces, so... like Thunder, they’re just rattles!

Heavens... ah!

Luckily we belong to Teraxil.”

”The most clever in their world should be the Goddess of the Silvermoon,” Hill said seriously, ”but she’s chaotic, with a personality clearly leaning towards Celene, like our.... hmm.... you know.”

The Master of Runes is rigid, the Sun God is focused on making money.

The Lord of the Silvermoon loves entertainment the most.

However, these three are the most friendly and attentive to humans among the native deities.

Though everything is about giving to get, at least they are willing to give back.

Other deities aren’t absent, but tend to stay in their domains, not even glancing below... anyway, their divine duties are diligently fulfilled, humans understand when they need these deities, prayer and sacrifice are fine, otherwise, even the most devout followers get no attention.

Might as well spend money at the Sun God Temple for some Holy Water.

Snow Cloud Peak fell into chaos, only lifting his head after a while to ask: ”I think the nobles in their world are quite clever!”

”Aesces doesn’t like them.” Hill smiled gently, ”You see, nobles like Ditte, can be considered very decent, yet he would still give up his justice for a while for his own selfish motives, for his family.

In their hearts, there’s always a light and heavy balance, never changing for love or kinship.

Moreover, even with countless twists and turns in their thoughts, their faces always maintain that indifferent expression... to put it bluntly, nobles are more like water, as long as it can flow down, whether it turns into a pond or mixes directly into the mud, all depends on the environment.

Trying to get a rock brain to understand what it means to adapt like water is very difficult.

Have you not noticed, he either admires the particularly vehement people or the particularly rule-abiding ones?

However, people in this world don’t live well unless they’re flexible, naturally Aesces always feels it’s hard to find a satisfactory mortal.

What to do then?

Look at all these rules he’s set up, binding himself while also binding good people, yet enemies and cunning souls live freely.”

Snow Cloud Peak seldom saw Hill give such a long rant about a powerful divine power... and in a situation where the other party could hear it no less.

Then he couldn’t help but laugh: ”I never thought Hill would have a good relationship with this World Master!”

Hill was slightly stunned... then quickly understood why Snow Cloud Peak said such a thing.

He’s never one to easily speak ill of someone, usually won’t scold someone to their face, if he really dislikes them, he’d simply turn and walk away, that’s Hill’s usual style.

Unless the relationship is good or Hill considers the other party someone he can communicate with, then he speaks directly and sharply: Of course, if there’s a sharp feeling, it’s usually, because he’s frustrated, especially towards those who are completely oblivious unless they’re told sharply.

However, Hill also noticed that while he tends to admire the smart and capable type more, his tolerance is quite high for those with lacking intelligence or capability.

The most disliked are those unaware of their own stupidity, greedy without restraint, always showcasing a greedy heart more pronounced than Tiamat while using intelligence worse than an amoeba.

Indeed, people need to go out for a walk; these small temperaments carried from a past life, if not encountering so many things, he himself might not have noticed.

Of course, Hill wouldn’t strictly demand to change this disposition... everyone is still a baby somehow? If he wanted to, issues of whether matured or not aside, he could claim he’s not yet of school age!

The first 500 years of the Earth Bear’s life is just a childhood of play and mistakes.

Many mother bears consider Hill a poor child, not because of his background, but because he matured too early.

But he must know these characteristics of his, lest one day they be used against him.

The longer he lives, even with his general goodwill, his enemies will grow... In this Fantasy World, reasons for disliking someone may simply because someone accidentally stood in front of him.

No matter how strong his backing, it can’t stop others from scheming against him.

”Aesces is part of the Earth Deity System.” He finally masked the complex feelings in his heart with a simple phrase, ”And indeed he’s young in the divine world.”

Young people making mistakes, even if continually, as long as their heart isn’t evil, can be understood.”

He couldn’t help but laugh, probably the most noticeable characteristic the Goddess of the Earth left him was being protective.

Snow Cloud Peak raised an eyebrow, it seems this Aesces, though not very nimble himself, is quite fortunate, unexpectedly bringing Hill home in the most dangerous time.

However, he also knew that when Hill was searching through dimensional channels for a world willing to accept him at that dangerous moment, only Aesces opened his arms to welcome him... no matter if he had any ulterior motives, it was of no harm.

Snow Cloud Peak chuckled: ”If that’s the case... I’ll follow my usual way to arrange it, right?

Aesces won’t suddenly change his mind halfway...?”

”No.” Hill squinted and smiled, ”As long as your attention is on the Exterior Gods, Aesces will gladly cooperate.

Plus, he’s quite stubborn, once started he won’t turn back.

I remember there’s a saying about hitting a wall before turning back, right?

Aesces would definitely try to smash through the wall instead.”

Snow Cloud Peak walked away satisfied.

”Why are you dissatisfied?” Hill spoke to the kaleidoscope of colors in the dazzling sky, ”Do you think Snow Cloud Peak asked me if I have a good relationship with you for nothing?

This aurora is practically flashing right in my eyes!

He has a poor sense of space, but he’s not blind!”

If it weren’t for his top-floor terrace being above the clouds, even the Undead Tribe would bring their families to see what the aurora at the equator looks like!

The aurora above Hill’s head rolled once more, colorful and harmonious.

”Alright, you don’t speak, how do I know what you want to do?” Hill said impatiently, ”Just be straightforward, listen to Old Snow... Yunfeng’s command.

Don’t worry about whether he’ll let the Undead Tribe benefit from you, he definitely will.

But he has limits, and with William there, upholding justice and fairness, he won’t allow the Undead Tribe entering other worlds in his name to do anything excessive.”

Moreover, whether to give benefits to the Undead Tribe or let Rose or Gaia rip them away, is there even a choice?

Currently, the critical point is, while the Undead Tribe are here with visas as dispatched personnel, Gaia and Rose are all stowaways, but they’ve already rooted and sprouted on your turf!

Relying on the Undead Tribe as foreign labor to dig out these spreading weed roots, would you not even provide them with a wage?

Wishful thinking.
