Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1479: Chapter 57: Hill’s New Neighbor

This three-story, no, that’s not right, it’s a two-and-a-half-story small building gives Hill a strange sense of familiarity... Tall and slender doors and windows, two floors of stairs outside the building, connecting the uniquely styled, gallery-like full-length porch and balcony, the tall, steep four-slope roof directly connects to the porch above.

Dense silver crystal stones replace the bricks on the roof.

Most importantly, each floor of this building is only slightly over three meters tall, yet it deliberately has a basement that is half underground, only one and a half meters above the ground... The entrance staircase connects directly to the second floor.

The tall porch should actually be the second-floor balcony; before this small building could be released, a two-meter deep basement space had to be dug.

Such a strange architectural style, Hill blinked silently, is really rare in the Fantasy World.

Hill turned back silently and sighed, then looked at that small building cautiously and spoke: ”Purwell, look at the silver pattern on their small building, doesn’t it resemble a maple leaf?”

”What kind of maple leaf are you talking about?” Purwell asked seriously, ”Maple leaves differ in various worlds!”

Hill silently drew a palm-shaped five-lobed, heart-shaped leaf pattern in the air.

”Just like this!” Purwell said with a firm tone.

”Isn’t this kind of red maple also present in Toril?” he asked curiously, ”Why are you so startled?”

”Ah... It’s not just the leaf that’s important, it’s the style that reminds me of William.” Hill leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window, his tone unsteady.

This is the iconic French colonial architecture of Montreal, coupled with the pattern favored by the Maple Country... So, either a compatriot or... someone from that country?

It shouldn’t be compatriots, right?

Although there are indeed a few who study colonial architecture, honestly, the Maple Country is the least worthy of reference.

Most likely, it’s more likely to be someone from their own country.

Besides, people from that country... How to say it, maybe too much sugar consumption, indeed their style is overly sweet.

In a flash of insight, Hill quickly concentrated all his doubts on that exceptional talent, Great Sage Jack Ismael.

Then Hill couldn’t help but look up at the sky with some confusion... Clearly, the World of Aesces also favors the Earth Attribute.

Do such worlds enjoy pulling people from his original world to work?

By the way, the first one Teraxil pulled back then wasn’t William, but the brilliant God of Time and Space.

Just that the World Will didn’t anticipate, the Savior they summoned was too righteous, and their world was too troublesome... The elves and dwarves plus a corrupted God of Nobility nearly cost the God of Time and Space his life.

Of course, Teraxil’s goal was still achieved, although it filled the world with excessive cheers and laughter.

At least the result was indeed good.

And Aesces seems to be quite adept too.

Hill really doubted if they were taught by the same teacher... The World Tree?

No, Aesces is purely a yellow-toned world!

Hill felt his head spinning... He missed William quite a bit!

”So, could William come to Aesces because of this person?” Purwell’s voice rang in his ears, ”Would it affect you?”

”Certainly not,” Hill answered firmly, ”If William learns about it, he might focus a bit more.

And who knows if Aesces would give him a chance.”

Hill recalled his actions upon arriving in this world... Ah, the habit of hiding one’s existence first, really is wonderful!

Hill isn’t afraid anyone from the past would recognize him, after all, no one could threaten his safety, including William.

But, how to put it... He just doesn’t want it.

It makes him feel like standing naked in the wind for everyone to see.

It might expose some of his inner world.

Besides, especially if it’s a guy from the Maple Country, what is there to acknowledge... It’s like dealing with a typical stallion novel protagonist?

Purwell suddenly showed curiosity: ”Sir, why would William be interested in him, didn’t you say this guy isn’t quite right?”

Hill couldn’t resist scratching his head: ”If it’s someone from the World of Aesces, his actions are indeed abnormal, but if it’s... someone like William, it could be understood... You see, the Nobles and Mages all find him out of place!”

The story of Great Sage Ismael, though Hill’s knowledge of it was still limited, spread across the world accompanying his exceptional talents, along with his famously beautiful people.

Furthermore, this man is inherently generous... Not only would he grant beloved maids significant status, but even let their children bear the Ismael surname.

It is truly an unbelievable kindness.

If not for being a Great Sage, and consistently showing compassion, the Nobles would have turned against him long ago... Who would want to stand on the same level as a maid’s child?

Even if they need to grant the child some status, isn’t it usual to assign them under someone else’s name?

How can... someone be so violently forceful?

The nobles could only conclude that a person who spreads love everywhere would surely be kinder to their lover, especially when his strength allows him such recklessness; it’s not entirely incomprehensible.

After all, Ismael even shows sympathy for those filthy beggars.

Although sometimes it feels like something is off... but how can you say! It’s still a symbol that Ismael is better to his own kind.

At least this Great Sage is not truly a Saint, and that’s quite fine.

In a world where even deities have personal interests.

Ismael has already been overly selfless... though the Ismael Household made a fortune from the emergence of crystal energy equipment.

Yet he neither squashed the Finch Family who tried to steal his invention nor attempted to place his family at the top of the world, even Danboro as well... those who are good to the Danboro Royal Family have a guilty conscience.

Such an existence, be it noble or mage, is hard to understand!

What is Ismael after ultimately?

Power he doesn’t really care much for, beauty? Though he is known for many affairs, his lovers are famous for being diverse and never repeating, he doesn’t have as many beauties over the centuries as the current King of Danboro!

Immortality... Ismael could have ascended with the discovery of crystalline energy!

No matter how much competition, there is always a bit of cruelty within the Fantasy World, where there’s never an existence that seeks only fame.

Luckily, Ismael still has some aspects that people can talk about.

Thus, all the stories Hill has come across related to this Great Sage are rather fantastic... there are even rumors of him being an embodiment of the Will of the World of Aesces.

Thinking of this, Hill suddenly cracked a smile; the World of Aesces doesn’t always like mortals to mention him, but such rumor wasn’t strictly prohibited.

The world will here is indeed very active, with intricate thoughts... if Ismael has any inappropriate thoughts, the world will could anytime replace him.

After all, most of the tasks needed by Ismael have been completed by this Great Sage.

Purwell suddenly spoke with some confusion: ”Sir, I once heard the Undead Tribe speak of a story about the God of Time and Space... was he perhaps too saint-like, thus met with... such an end?

The ultimate revenge was possible because William was ruthless enough?”

Hill was stunned.

People of Aesces couldn’t understand someone like Ismael. As for the God of Time and Space like... Teraxil, in a world even older in concept than Aesces, indeed it could be more problematic.

He never understood why the God of Time and Space could forgive the Master of Contracts and even mingle congenially with the God of Nobility... could it be in the endless time, the God of Time and Space finally realized his discord within Teraxil?

Although William is quite upright, he truly isn’t as selfless as the God of Time and Space, he considers more for his own kind and handles things more tactfully.

The most direct distinction is... with the personality shown by the God of Time and Space, he would never fall for a Goddess like Shaer, who kills mercilessly and views humans as ants.

No matter how charming this Goddess may be.

No wonder that after ascending to the starry sky, the God of Time and Space handed over all major powers of the Gods of Time and Space to William.

He probably still couldn’t adapt to the overly blatant interest-based relationships of the Fantasy World, only wishing to bury himself as a scholar.

Hill sighed.

Justice, this thing, is never singular in its manifestation, moreover, loving oneself first is always better.

He indeed belongs to the same era as William.

The nation before the family is fine, but once unable to return to their nation, the family becomes most important.

For them, Teraxil is home.

Hill glanced again at that little building evoking past memories, slowly descended the stairs.

As for the neighbor’s identity... he had already seen Lind, blankly following behind Countess Stelter.

Seems like Stelter Castle ran into big trouble, the Earl sent his wife and children to take refuge beside him!

Quite amusing... obviously a standard righteous family, yet their intrigue is considerable!

Although Hill had just arranged various experiments requiring time, he had somewhat understood these mutated silk spiders.

The most obvious point being, these things cannot be commanded.

A bit like those schools of small fish... they know where food appears but absolutely don’t understand why the food appears.

They act collectively, but completely forget which one stands next to them and won’t remember either.

The common characteristic of such creatures is, they must survive in groups.

Therefore, it’s absolutely impossible for one wave to grow on Yunlan, and another wave to grow elsewhere.
