Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1066: Chapter 860: The Joy Brought by Amanata’s Misfortune

“Ah!” Celene exclaimed briefly, her tone unfriendly, “I had already replaced the Sun with Lansendel… Why did AO have to resurrect him? Isn’t it just a Divine Power network? What’s his use?

The Sun could totally exist without any deities!”

“AO won’t directly interact with Amanata,” Shaer actually laughed, “Hehe, anyway, I won’t have to deal with him, I’ll just fight if we meet.

Did you forget that he once tried to have the Sun and Moon intersect… I think he’ll only become more outrageous in the future.”

Hill turned his head in confusion: So, Amanata once tried to pursue Celene?

Celene growled angrily: “Why did you have to remind me of such humiliation?

Now I possess Strong Divine Power! He’s just Lower Rank!”

Hill drank Elf Wine expressionlessly; Celene and Shuni differ, facing Amanata’s superiority, mixed with complex considerations and greedy desires, the only thing absent was a romantic pursuit, leading only to murderous impulses.

However, the current Celene might just be slightly repulsed, but during Amanata’s peak period, apart from Shaer, no other evil deities openly opposed this Sun God… So did Celene take refuge under Shuni as Suren to avoid her sister or the arrogant Sun God?

Shaer laughed softly, “So, are you just watching as he returns to the Divine Throne?”

“Don’t tell me you didn’t meddle!” Celene composed herself and said slowly, “Although I promised AO not to act, AO didn’t say we couldn’t cause trouble… With just a little resistance, returning to the Divine Throne is impossible!”

Shaer said coldly, “Karin turned into a tornado earlier and deliberately sent Eckart away with a gust.

The Smoke Element probably took other divine beasts back to the Karin Desert.

With Karin and Mannan absent, their subordinates would follow Eckart’s orders.

The situation in Kalinsan hasn’t stabilized easily… Even after Amanata’s resurrection, he can’t enter Toril, and his priests now don’t have many Divine Arts available.”

Celene said without hesitation, “So, Cyric is out already? How many years has it been! Why is AO being so lenient with you this time?

Could it be that he believes Cyric’s act of murdering Mystra is forgivable this time?

Otherwise, shouldn’t he have been detained for at least 100 years to express his displeasure towards you two for such an act of murdering a True God!”

Hill looked at the giant screen in confusion, he couldn’t hear anything in Shaer’s words related to Cyric?

Hill absolutely didn’t believe Celene’s intelligence could surpass his own… So this must be the tacit understanding built over tens of thousands of years of the twins’ companionship, right?

As for why Cyric was so easily released, he didn’t care at all.

The Prince of Lies truly is AO and the Tablets of Fate’s best tool, hitting wherever they point.

“So what did you do?” Shaer pressed further, “I originally thought you would contact Lansendel, but that guy’s presence still hasn’t returned.

Tyr definitely wouldn’t easily strike at an Orderly Deity.”

I really can’t think of anyone else who could be persuaded by you to prevent Amanata’s resurrection.”

Celene laughed lightly: “You’re not interested in the Sun at all, so you probably don’t know, there are hundreds of small openings leading to the Fire Elemental Plane scattered across the Sun’s surface, like dandelions on grass.

When Amanata was alive, these Plane Gates were naturally useless, his power could block all Fire Element creatures coveting the flames.

But now he’s dead.

Fire God Beasts, fire salamanders, fire lizards and fire spirit attendants, lava worms and Helian people, along with unknown creatures, have lived there for at least a hundred thousand years.

If Amanata is resurrected with Strong Divine Power, they would of course choose to move back to the Fire Elemental Plane… But with a Lower Rank Divine Power Sun God, they would certainly try to fight!”

Shaer asked in surprise, “Helian people? What are those? Forget the Fire Elemental Plane, Amanata’s only ally was Kashus, wasn’t it?

Even though I don’t know if he would still honor that alliance after so long… Probably not, but he would likely observe for a while, not immediately tearing apart that alliance contract.

If Amanata can’t quickly regain power, he might not have any allies left.”

“Helian people are small creatures that appeared after the Sun lost its master,” Celene said calmly, “They’re pitch black, born in the most explosive black spots of the Sun’s heat.

They love riding the Sun’s flame columns that stretch millions of kilometers, taking them as mounts to view landscapes as far from the Sun as possible.

They frequently patrol within ten million kilometers around the Sun, and they hurl thermonuclear reaction fragments at any passing ships within range.”

Their attack range is quite far, at least several thousand kilometers.”

Shaer hesitated for a moment before saying, “But Amanata wouldn’t fear flames, no matter how high the temperature, how could the Fire Element possibly compete with him? Just look at his performance earlier.

His first strike was directly at Mannan, wasn’t it just because he thought that no matter how strong the King of the Fire God Beasts was, he couldn’t be his match?”

“On the sun’s orbit, 40 million kilometers away, there are twelve spherical dead magic zones called horse-tail algae. In that area, all Magic Ships, casting spells, and Magical Items cease to function.” Celene said with a chuckle, “For Amanata to fully resurrect, he must let his divine body float into the sun’s range.

Over the years, the Helian people have acquired quite a few Magic Ships that can be used as traps… The explosion of a Magic Ship is not magic damage; the Magic Ships that can enter the sun area could have power not inferior to Mithril Energy Cores.”

Shaer pondered for a few seconds before saying, “If Amanata exhausts too much to resist Cyric’s ambush, he indeed might be stalled there.

Then his resurrection… haha~ Could it be that Toril will have a Sun God with faint Divine Power?”

Celene’s tone was light: “Who cares about him~ In any case, I will only strike this once, as for what results he will have, it depends on whether the Power of Destiny favors him~”

Probably not.

Both Shaer and Celene were very aware that no Goddess would have a favorable impression of Amanata. Dislike, on the other hand, could be several thousand to tens of thousands times stronger, even Ambori, who is recognized as trash, would probably spit upon seeing Amanata.

Otherwise, there wouldn’t be just a lone Kashus, who has nothing to do with the Goddesses, becoming Amanata’s ally… Kashus doesn’t care because he doesn’t require his allies to be someone to chat with. After all, the Fire Tyrant only speaks when he’s cursing.

Hill pondered silently… In the eyes of the Goddess of Luck and the Goddess of Misfortune, Amanata should be an even more detestable narcissist than Lansendel.

If they could only curse one of them, the chance these two Goddesses would choose Lansendel is probably one in ten thousand.

Shaer and Celene didn’t speak anymore, and Hill suspected they went to the Stellar Realm to watch the spectacle.

After all, Amanata had already vanished from sight on the giant screen… when he was above the clouds just now, he was still a tiny golden glint!

Hill leaned on his hand, thinking leisurely: In this aspect, Toril is much worse than Teraxil!

How could such a world-wide delightful event not be shared with the people?

At the very least, let the Toril people witness the return of the Sun God!

Otherwise, how would they know there’s another Amanata to whom they can pray~

The Undead Tribe who could no longer see Amanata was probably thinking the same as Hill, grumbling all the way on the arduous path back to the Mil Forest.

Although Hill didn’t catch most of it, he did hear bits and pieces: they were complaining that William made money but started cutting corners, not even broadcasting when the deities ascend to heaven.

Surely the Sun God’s resurrection is too complex, and William, this lousy planner, only plans to appease them with subtitles.

When the Undead Tribe finally wearily clambered into the Magic Great Wall of Mil Forest, Celene returned to the Floating Castle with a string of bell-like laughter.

From her arrogant laughter, it was evident that Amanata’s fate was utterly amusing.

“Hehe haha haha~ Benshasha must have blessed him. He really ended up with only faint Divine Power!”

“Hmm… I didn’t expect Benshasha to remember Amanata saying she was ugly.” Shaer quietly commented.

Hill couldn’t help but widen his eyes, turning to look at the moonlight in the pool and the shadow under the trees… Was Amanata crazy?

“His exact words were, Benshasha always curses others, which makes her look menacing.” Celene explained cheerfully to Hill, “What Goddess could tolerate that kind of remark? Especially from a stranger deity she has nothing to do with.

Initially, Benshasha thought Amanata must be related to Tymora to say such a thing, so she was angry but not hateful… only later did she find out that Tymora had no acquaintance with Amanata.

Saying vicious words out of enmity and saying them for no reason are significantly different for women.”

“I thought he just… liked to display his power.” Hill muttered, “That’s already enough to make women dislike him… but to reach this extent, does he have no emotions at all?”

“Yes.” Celene said, her tone uncharacteristically cold, “Amanata is a deity without normal emotions, his world only has rules he makes and a greed for power.”

Hill smiled helplessly… No wonder Celene was so turned off.

“Cyric really did an impressive job this time.” Shaer couldn’t help but praise her tool god, “One clean and sharp strike.”

“Indeed, it was precise.” Celene, perhaps for the only time in her life, genuinely praised the Dark Sun, “Otherwise, those traps in the magic-free zone wouldn’t have held him for so long.”
