Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1065: Chapter 859: The Annoying Sun God

Although Karin’s approach seems meaningless… dividing oneself into so many parts, a Demigod could eliminate each hurricane he transformed into.

This Air God Creature is obviously just trying to buy time… a powerful Deity who can send Mannan away with one move could surely send him away too.

But this approach unexpectedly put Amanata in a crisis; the Sun God’s attacks weren’t enough.

The power he initially used still came from Amanata’s Holy Grail… The reason he could so easily form this incarnation was that he had already left a sliver of his Divine Soul in his cup.

He didn’t use it before because AO hadn’t relented, and even if Amanata had the chance, he didn’t dare use it.

Just like the Three Gods of Death, with Bane alive, Baal could still struggle, but the strongest Milko was only left with a trace of residue!

Bane and Baal combined weren’t as strong as Milko, but AO had no intention of giving this God of Death who angered him any chance, so Milko didn’t even have any memory fragments left on the helmet.

To live well in Toril, one must not offend AO! This was a reality he finally realized after so long… unlike Celene and Shaer, who were the embodiments of Toril’s Primordial Power, capable of causing cataclysms with just a move.

As the Sun God, he seemed so glorious, but in AO’s eyes, he wasn’t even worth one strand of Mystree’s hair!

But who could have thought that Mystree would be fair enough to give up even her own life?

Ever since Amanata woke up, he had been thinking over past events, and the more he contemplated, the clearer it became that AO had watched everything unfold with open eyes, intending to kill three birds with one stone… not only to get rid of himself, a Sun God trying to tamper with time and space, but also to teach Mystree a lesson… she was too kind-hearted and had been deceived by Amanata more than once.

The most crucial aspect was that AO was dissatisfied with Toril at the time and wanted to restructure the world… The Great Archmages of Naesreiel were delving deeper into the essence of the world.

The appearance of the Nyscroll was not to drive the Arcanists more mad, but to awaken them, even such a strong Mage Kingdom ultimately perished completely.

Unfortunately, those Great Archmages, proud to the point of madness, only saw it as a form of encouragement.

Obtaining the Nyscroll was the first step towards the collapse of the Naicer Empire… Amanata now understands.

Before that, regardless of whether they were Mages, Magicians, or Arcanists, the Naicer Empire was actually united, and everyone was focused on researching new spells every day.

However, the appearance of the Nyscroll diverted everyone’s attention to seizing Divine Artifacts.

No matter who it was, once they felt above everyone else, they would naturally seek more power… At that time, Amanata felt nothing and was even pleased that the Divinity of those rulers could easily fall into his hands.

But he hadn’t realized he was too entangled with the Naicer Empire… In the end, he was inevitably destroyed along with it.

It’s a pity AO didn’t foresee that Shaer and Celene could actually give birth to an absolute good being… Mystree, who couldn’t bear to see the world collapse, disassembled herself.

Amanata knew he was being unfairly blamed; after realizing that something was wrong, he had designed an escape route for the cup, but it wasn’t supposed to be an Ice Mountain!

The cup intentionally carried the Little Fairy in random flight, actually intending to enter some Elf Empire… in that case, even if his soul slept, it didn’t matter; after all, Elves live long enough and like to record everything that happens in the world.

However, fate… Amanata could almost hate these two words… always mocking him.

He didn’t know why, when he woke up, he found himself in the lair of a stinking Dragon Lich!

The cup had been sleeping in the Ice Mountain, knowing nothing about what happened… The chaotic Little Fairy couldn’t possibly use Amanata’s Holy Grail.

But Amanata knew the Grail had always been emitting charming power, hoping someone or even some animal could take it away from that deserted ghost place, so it was only normal for someone to take it away.

As for falling into the hands of that powerful Specter Dragon, it didn’t surprise him too much. It was probably discovered by that dumb dragon during the transfer… he knew how attractive gold was to dragons.

But what he couldn’t tolerate was the damn Dragon Lich using his cup for its deeds!

Once he resurrected, he would definitely… definitely kill that dragon!

Amanata, with a cold expression, picked up the code of law in his hand, and even though he had been trying to convert a lot of Divine Power using Faith Power since he woke up, the power provided by the Holy Grail allowed him to consolidate his incarnation, but he could only use the scepter’s power twice more.

The Air God Creature, although acting recklessly and dispersing his power to the extent that the High Priest could deal with it… he couldn’t give this order.

For Amanata, who wanted to demonstrate his mighty power at this time, he needed a swift and decisive battle… only absolute victory could prevent the loss of his followers.

The painful moments of being abandoned by all followers tormented him; Amanata didn’t want to leave any troubles for himself again.

Holding the code of law, he raised his head and glanced at the sky, thinking that he would have to let AO have his way!

He gently flipped through the code of law, looking wistfully at the contract signed with Mystree… Back then, the two with their own agendas didn’t end well.

“…Amanata shall be responsible for all times, any misconception by him and his followers, if deemed Amanata’s fault…”

This was the contract he painstakingly got Mystree to sign with him, which although constrained the divine power channel used by him and his subordinates to be attached to the Weave, and forbade any alteration of matters related to Mystree, it nevertheless gave him more opportunities.

Looking at the chaotic words without punctuation on the paper, which gave him a chance to meddle with the river of time, Amanata silently closed his eyes.

Finally, he resolutely opened his eyes and forcefully tore this page of contract with one hand… The divine power pathway woven with the power of the sun god attached to Toril’s primordial power appeared in the sky.

Golden rays shot towards Amanata… After the contract was torn apart, the Weave directly expelled his power.

As he saw the blue and white light appear, Amanata showed a bitter smile, forgetting it, taking back these powers, at least during the resurrection, he wouldn’t have to start from faint divine power.

Resurrection inevitably comes at a cost… Everything can only be started anew.

Moreover, being away from the sun for too long, he couldn’t completely control his half-body.

Amanata furrowed his brows, he could feel that someone was actually residing on the sun… Not his followers, why dare to live on his sun?

If not for his insufficient connection with the sun, Amanata would certainly cause the sun to erupt violently now!

He glanced at the human followers bowing down, then at that crazy air god creature… Amanata was puzzled by this, why was the air god creature acting crazier than the fire god beast?

What use is this except for scaring mortals?

Reclaiming a small part of power, Amanata swung the scepter with dissatisfaction… Golden rays scattered all around, and the tornado and divine beasts surrounding Manshaka disappeared together.

Surprisingly, Amanata even reclaimed the divine power from the golden avenue… The undead tribe fell in confusion on the winding uneven ground… Even the road was gone!

The humans in Manshaka cheered loudly, then started singing hymns to the sun along with the Amanata priest.

Knowing the matter was concluded, the undead tribe photographed the figure of the sun god above Manshaka City for a while and then returned to Mil Forest full of disbelief.

“Such a thrifty Sun God! Not even willing to spend divine power to build a road! Normal deities are supposed to make that road eternal, aren’t they?” Shaer’s tone surprisingly had a hint of amazement, “Celene, I thought you picked the strongest Eternal Fire?”

“Perhaps the celestial body chosen to be the sun itself is the problem?” Celene answered hesitantly.

“Sure enough, big commodities were meticulously selected!” Shaer exclaimed.

Hill didn’t even think to twitch a smile… This kind of Sun God immediately shattered all his past imaginations.

When the tags of conspiracy and stinginess are put together, there’s instantly a dense house-fight vibe.

Many of Amanata’s actions can actually fit in… For example, his way of utilizing Vila.

If he didn’t want to save money for buying food, he wouldn’t let the penny-pinching Vila escape control.

Though on the giant screen each of them had their own criticisms, Amanata staying in Manshaka was quite pleased… In the loud sacred songs, the golden light carried him flying higher… As long as he smoothly reached the Stellar Realm, his divine body would directly fly out from the land of death and merge into this incarnation that had regained faith power.

If it were before, he would still worry about Shaer stopping his resurrection… Shaer was his only openly declared enemy.

Amanata had always believed no one else would be his enemy, only Shaer who always wanted to extinguish the sunlight would persistently antagonize him, which he didn’t care, light and darkness are naturally enemies!

As for other deities being dissatisfied with him… He never believed anyone would be so ungrateful!

No, without Amanata’s existence, most Toril deities simply wouldn’t appear!

Though they were born from the battles of Shaer and Celene, though they were manifestations of mortal faith, without the sun, none of this would happen.

Amanata pleasantly flew… He had already handed over his road of light, AO would surely not allow Shaer to attack him now.

As for the future, the sun that would banish all darkness, how could it fear the shadow?

“Why does his expression look so annoying? I really want to hit him with a stone!” Celene suddenly spoke.

“Amanata is still exactly as before.” Shaer calmly said, “You probably forgot why he has no friends at all.”
