Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Guan Le curiously asked, ”You just mentioned you’ve ventured into many industries. Besides the fashion design company and the restaurant, what other industries are you involved in?”

Zhang Jingdong took a sip of the soup from his shrimp and eel noodles and replied, ”I also started an entertainment company.”

”Besides making movies, we also do music.”

”Our music has been gaining traction. We have launched a popular singer. Do you know Xiao Fei?”

”Xiao Fei?” Guan Le was a bit surprised again, ”Of course I know. Are you her boss?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded, ”That’s right.”

Upon hearing this, Guan Le became interested.

She wasn’t someone who typically followed celebrities, just had a mild appreciation for Wang Fei.

But Xiao Fei is not only a talented singer-songwriter who has created many great songs, especially the song ”One Mountain Road,” which Guan Le particularly liked.

Plus, Xiao Fei’s personality is very straightforward, almost like an enhanced version of the early Wang Fei, which made Guan Le pay extra attention to Xiao Fei.

Suddenly, she remembered something, ”By the way, you said you went to Xijiang University, so you’re not just Xiao Fei’s boss but also her university classmate.”

Zhang Jingdong noticed the teasing tone in her voice and jokingly replied, ”Ms. Guan, you seem to know quite a bit about Xiao Fei. I didn’t expect you’re a fan?”

”I’m not exactly a fan. I just really like the songs Xiao Fei creates, so I ended up learning about her background... How did you come up with the idea of starting an entertainment company?”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged and admitted directly, ”Actually, I first discovered Xiao Fei’s talent at a school music festival, and that’s when I acquired a music company to promote her as a singer.”

”Later, I wanted to make movies too, so I expanded the company into a comprehensive entertainment company.”

Guan Le glanced at Ye Jinyan, then said, ”You’re saying you discovered Xiao Fei’s musical talent and then invested money to acquire a music company... isn’t that a bit of a stretch?”

Zhang Jingdong said casually, ”Ms. Guan, Yanyan already told you how talented I am.”

”Actually, my musical knowledge is quite profound. If you don’t believe me, when we get to Purple Cloud Temple, I can demonstrate for you.”

Ye Jinyan chimed in, ”Le, I highly recommend it! Boss Zhang’s original clay flute compositions are truly exceptional!”

Originally, Guan Le had simply thought Zhang Jingdong was interested in Xiao Fei and bought a music company to support her, but she hadn’t expected it was because he understood music.

Though she doubted Zhang Jingdong, hearing Ye Jinyan say this left her convinced, knowing how high Ye Jinyan’s musical standards were.

She expressed her curiosity, ”Really? That sounds great.”

She initially wanted to ask more about Zhang Jingdong’s relationship with Xiao Fei, but that question now seemed inappropriate, so she continued, ”Besides the entertainment company, do you have any other businesses?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded, ”Recently, I invested a hundred million in an internet company in Jiangdu, which focuses on social networking.”

Upon hearing this, Guan Le and Ye Jinyan exchanged glances, both clearly surprised.

Guan Le tried to stay calm and asked, ”And what’s the flagship product of this company?”

”It used to be called Alumni Network, now it’s Renren Network.”

”Renren Network?” Guan Le widened her eyes again, ”Are you talking about Qingyun Technology Company’s Renren Network?”

This time, Zhang Jingdong was a bit surprised himself, ”Ms. Guan, you really deserve to be a teacher at the School of Economics and Management! You know so much about our Huaxia’s internet companies!”

”Qingyun Technology is still a small company, I didn’t expect you to know about it.”

Guan Le responded, ”Although Qingyun Technology is still a startup, its site has developed rapidly since the redesign, now boasting over a million users, I’m very optimistic about the company’s future.”

”Currently, most social platforms domestically suffer from a significant issue: unclear monetization strategies. Relying solely on ads won’t achieve profitability unless you’re like Tencent’s QQ with over a hundred million users.”

”But Qingyun Technology’s site has had a very clear revenue model from the start, and it’s been moving in the right direction ever since.”

”I talked to their President Lin before, and I think their influencer marketing model is not only novel but also holds substantial potential.”

”At that time, she told me the idea was established by their company’s big boss. I didn’t imagine that you were the big boss.”

Seeing that Guan Le was now openly complimenting him, Zhang Jingdong reciprocated, ”Ms. Guan, to be honest, I used to think you economics teachers relied solely on theory without research or practice, but now, you’ve completely changed my stereotype of you guys.”

”You’ve not only understood many company projects but also have a sharp eye and unique insights into many of our Huaxia’s current internet products. I’m truly impressed!”

”How about this? If you’re willing, I’d like to hire you as our group’s economic advisor. What do you think?”

Guan Le was a bit flattered and quickly waved her hand, ”Boss Zhang, you’re too kind. Besides, with my current credentials, I’m far from qualified to be the economic advisor for a big group like yours. Please find someone more suitable.”

Zhang Jingdong certainly wouldn’t let go of this opportunity easily, ”Ms. Guan, you’re too modest. Just your unique business vision alone surpasses many so-called economics professors and top experts.”
