Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Guan Le paused for a moment, then continued, ”I often go to Jiangdu to conduct economic research. Now that your business has reached this scale, which specific industry is your company involved in?”

Zhang Jingdong responded truthfully, ”I’m currently venturing into quite a few industries. For instance, I have a clothing design company that makes cultural shirts, called DL Clothing Design Company. I wonder if Ms. Guan has heard of it?”

”What?”

Guan Le was instantly shocked again because she had recently been paying a lot of attention to DL Clothing Design Company.

She had even specifically studied DL Company’s highly innovative online and offline integrated sales strategy and had discussed it with her students in class.

It turned out she didn’t expect that this company was actually started by Zhang Jingdong.

”... Is this company really yours?”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Jingdong saw the expression on Guan Le’s face and instantly confirmed that she not only knew about his company but seemed to hold it in high regard.

He then said, ”It seems Ms. Guan not only knows about my company but also understands it quite well?”

Guan Le now fully believed that the company was Zhang Jingdong’s. She thought quickly and then said, ”Is it because a significant portion of your clothing company’s sales comes from Taobao under Ali, that’s why you’re thinking of investing in them?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded meaningfully, ”It looks like Ms. Guan has a deep understanding of my company. Alright, I admit, that’s indeed the case!”

Realizing she guessed right, Guan Le continued, ”Since you decided to sell some products online, why did you choose Ali instead of the currently booming eBay?”

”I’ve already told Mr. Ye about this before, three reasons in total. First, Ali is a domestic internet company, and in the next decade, our country will surely support the development of our domestic internet industry.”

”Second, all of eBay’s decisions are made by their executives far abroad. Those people don’t understand our Huaxia at all. Even when they’ve set the strategy, it takes at least a month or two for it to be implemented smoothly, by which time the opportunity is long missed.”

”Last but not least, just the fact that Ma Yun and his team could think of insisting on being free, means they will definitely beat eBay. It’s just a matter of time.”

Upon hearing this, Guan Le was completely impressed by Zhang Jingdong.

If Zhang Jingdong merely saw the potential in Ali because he made money selling things on Taobao, indicating his business talent, it would be one thing.

But the fact that he could articulate these three points shows that besides having business talent, he also possesses extraordinary strategic vision.

She now also understood why Zhang Jingdong was able to convince Ma Yun to invest 50 million US Dollars, and receive a 20% share.

She then turned to look at Ye Jinyan and sighed, ”Now I understand why you’re with him. Your boyfriend is indeed young and promising, outstanding!”

Ye Jinyan took the opportunity to say, ”Seems like you’re growing fond of him too!”

”Hey... what are you talking about? No matter what, I won’t steal your boyfriend!”

Ye Jinyan giggled, ”We wouldn’t call it stealing, but sharing.”

”Just like how we used to share delicious food, now that we’ve encountered such a great man, naturally, we can share. After all, a man as perfect as him is hard to find even worldwide!”

Guan Le immediately rolled her eyes at Ye Jinyan, ”Ye Jinyan, I know you’ve just started dating, and everything looks perfect, but you don’t have to exaggerate.”

”Although he’s young and promising, good at business, that doesn’t make him a perfect man, right?”

”Moreover, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You might think he’s perfect, but others might not agree.”

Ye Jinyan sighed, ”I used to think the same, and even tried to nitpick his flaws because I thought he was too arrogant. But later, I found that he’s capable of so much, far beyond my expectations.”

”I’m not exaggerating. Throughout these years, I’ve met so many outstanding men, and Jingdong is really someone who combines many people’s strengths -- handsome, adept at business, can paint landscapes and portraits...”

At this point, Ye Jinyan suddenly thought of something, blushed, and with forced calm, continued, ”Can race cars, and most importantly, his photography skills are exceptionally good, almost comparable to a professional photographer!”

”The photos he took for me in the past two days turned out stunningly. You can see them after we finish eating, they’re definitely better than the pictures we got from that professional photographer we hired last time!”

When Guan Le heard about the painting and car racing, she just thought Zhang Jingdong had a bit more hobbies, but when she heard that Ye Jinyan claimed his photography skills surpassed those of a professional photographer, she immediately became interested.

”Really?”

Seeing Guan Le’s interest, Ye Jinyan immediately said, ”You’ll know once you come with me after we finish eating.”

At this time, the waiter came to serve the rest of their food.

Guan Le looked at her noodles and said calmly, ”Alright, I’d like to see it.”

Ye Jinyan saw she agreed, then picked up her chopsticks and called out to Zhang Jingdong, ”Boss Zhang, try and see how it tastes?”

Zhang Jingdong then also picked up his chopsticks and efficiently entered the food broadcast mode.

After about ten minutes, Ye Jinyan said with a smile, ”How’s it? Tastes pretty good, right?”

Zhang Jingdong replied truthfully, ”It’s indeed not bad, but it’s still slightly inferior to the Hunan restaurant next to our school.”

”Next time when you guys are in Jiangdu, you can come to my place and try it. It definitely won’t disappoint you.”

Ye Jinyan rolled her eyes at Zhang Jingdong, ”Fine... Okay, then we really should try it sometime. If it doesn’t taste good, we won’t hold back our criticism!”

Zhang Jingdong grinned mischievously, ”When have I ever asked you to hold back?”

Ye Jinyan suddenly thought of the time just before class ended in the classroom, when Zhang Jingdong took advantage and rewarded her with a bottle of Life One.

She immediately glanced at him both shyly and angrily.
