Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Tsk tsk, this guy’s got potential!

At this moment, Chen Hanyu noticed the support and encouragement from the club folks, and a hint of joy flickered in his eyes that he couldn’t quite hide.

Ye Jinyan furrowed her brows slightly.

On one hand, she saw the confidence in the opponent, sensing that he was definitely prepared.

Earlier, when Zhang Jingdong was teaching her, he showcased some skill, but since she had no understanding of billiards, she couldn’t tell what level his skill was.

On the other hand, she now understood Zhang Jingdong’s personality; since he agreed, he would gamble to the end. She worried that if Zhang Jingdong lost, he would be upset for losing face.

So, at this moment, she couldn’t help but tug on Zhang Jingdong’s arm.

Feeling this, Zhang Jingdong turned to look at her, instantly sensing her worry.

Although he was in control, her concern warmed his heart.

Zhang Jingdong seized the opportunity to hold her hand, giving her a reassuring look.

Then he turned around and said to the opponent, ”If we’re playing for money, then it actually becomes gambling. How about this, if I lose, I’ll do a handstand for a minute; but if you lose, you perform ’The Tortoise Goes to Sea’ for a minute.”

In his mind, Zhang Jingdong thought he had watched so many PK matches on Douyin live streams; how could he lose to you when it comes to penalties?

Sure enough, when Zhang Jingdong said this, the smiles on the faces of the surrounding club folks instantly froze!

They hadn’t expected Zhang Jingdong to dare play such a crude game in front of Ye Jinyan, his wealthy girlfriend!

Moreover, Chen Hanyu was a bit dumbfounded: ”The Tortoise Goes to Sea? What’s that mean?”

Zhang Jingdong suppressed his laughter, ”Have you watched ’Spring Brilliant Pig Bajie’?”

Though a bit reluctant to admit it, given he had returned from abroad, Chen Hanyu didn’t want Zhang Jingdong to think he was backing out. Besides, he believed he was sure to win, so whatever stakes Zhang Jingdong set didn’t matter, as he wouldn’t be doing the penalty anyway.

Rather, he feared Zhang Jingdong might find an excuse not to play with him.

So he nodded decisively, ”I’ve seen it, what’s up?”

”Then you should remember the turtle chancellor in it, who would always perform a turtle walk every time he emerged from the sea...”

As Zhang Jingdong spoke, he roughly demonstrated the motions.

Witnessing this, the surrounding people were instantly taken aback.

But Ye Jinyan, instead, was amused by Zhang Jingdong.

At that moment, Zhang Jingdong stretched out his hand to Chen Hanyu: ”So, what’s the verdict? No problem?”

Though angered, Chen Hanyu inwardly thought, ’I’ll show you just how ridiculous you are, and you won’t save face.’

He then pretended to be calm and nodded, ”Alright, it’s decided then!”

After saying that, he took the chance to set a trap for Zhang Jingdong, ”You choose, are we playing pool or snooker?”

In his view, pool was quite easy; even if Zhang Jingdong was beneath his level, an accident could occur. After all, there are just 8 balls in pool; anyone with a bit of skill could clear the table.

He deliberately said so to arouse Zhang Jingdong’s competitiveness, as snooker was significantly harder than pool. If Zhang Jingdong cared about saving face, he might pick snooker, in which case Chen Hanyu could easily defeat him.

Zhang Jingdong saw through Chen Hanyu’s little trick but hesitated not one bit: ”Since you put it that way, snooker it is. Although I’m not very skilled, beating you should be no big deal.”

Chen Hanyu faced this boast from Zhang Jingdong without anger, as he believed this kind of arrogance precedes defeat.

So he smiled and said, ”Alright then, if you’re so confident, let’s decide the winner with one shot, shall we?”

Zhang Jingdong nodded, ”No problem.”

After that, the two of them, followed by the crowd, approached a nearby snooker table.

At this moment, even Ye Yuting and Xu Sicheng couldn’t help but come closer.

Chen Hanyu meticulously selected a cue and said to Zhang Jingdong, ”You break.”

Zhang Jingdong casually said, ”I haven’t played much snooker before, forgot how to break, why don’t you do it?”

Upon hearing this, Chen Hanyu instinctively thought Zhang Jingdong wasn’t lying, certainly always playing pool, and was instantly thrilled: ”In that case, alright.”

He then approached the table, slowly adjusting the cue ball in the break zone, eventually placing it between the green and brown balls.

After careful aiming, Chen Hanyu smoothly struck the ball.

The cue ball, upon hitting the second-to-last row of red balls, slightly scattered the cluster while spinning in a loop, finally coming to rest behind the brown ball, achieving a beautiful snooker.

It’s worth noting that Chen Hanyu did show some skill.

Though this snooker shot wasn’t much for professionals, it was an impressive performance for an upper-mid-level amateur.

Among the crowd, some knowledgeable about snooker couldn’t help but applaud Chen Hanyu.

Ye Jinyan, despite not knowing snooker’s rules, could tell Zhang Jingdong was facing difficulties trying to hit a distant red ball.

Even Zhang Jingdong was slightly surprised by Chen Hanyu’s skill, so he exaggeratedly remarked, ”Looks like you’re pretty decent at snooker!”

Chen Hanyu felt that Zhang Jingdong’s compliment was sincere, and now that the game had started, Zhang Jingdong couldn’t back out anymore. Thus, he proudly said, ”I used to enter snooker competitions back in the United Kingdom, and even placed third once at the worst.”
