Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Zhang Jingdong’s heart tightened instantly: Damn, it seems this is someone who likes palace intrigues! Wouldn’t this mean the East and West Palace are going to clash in the future!

He immediately said, ”The Daqing has long fallen. We’re in modern society now; there’s no such thing as entering the palace. I love you all equally and definitely won’t overly favor anyone.”

Ye Jinyan rolled her eyes at him.

”Tch... I don’t care. I can overlook others, but with Yan Ning, you must admit that I was with you before her in that way, and in the future, you’re not allowed to interfere in our matters!”

Zhang Jingdong burst into laughter: ”No… what do you want to do with her?”

”That’s none of your business. Anyway, she offended me before, and I must use this chance to turn the tables.”

Zhang Jingdong thought to himself, indeed, the enmity between women is barefaced hatred, but he knew it was best not to intervene for now, or else she might turn on him immediately.

So he said, ”Alright, since I can’t afford to provoke either of you two grand ladies!”

Ye Jinyan rarely saw Zhang Jingdong look so helpless, and a flash of satisfaction flickered in her eyes as if a great revenge had been avenged.

But not long after, Zhang Jingdong suddenly remarked, ”I didn’t notice just now, but there are so many dandelions in this garden!”

Ye Jinyan was momentarily confused, ”What? Dandelions?”

Zhang Jingdong continued, ”Usually, the more dandelions in a garden, the more it signifies the owner’s passion for the sun. But isn’t this somewhat contrary to scientific knowledge?”

Ye Jinyan finally realized what Zhang Jingdong was talking about and immediately felt both embarrassed and annoyed, saying, ”Zhang Jingdong, what... what are you talking about? You’re shameless!”

Zhang Jingdong shrugged, ”Miss Ye, we’ve already been in that way, so there’s no need to be so coy in front of me, okay? I’m just a bit curious.”

”Honestly, do you really enjoy the lectures but pretend not to because of your pride? Or do you think my lectures are so good that you’re afraid you’ll get addicted, so you deliberately say you don’t like them?”

”You... huh... I can’t be bothered with you!”

Ye Jinyan said this as she was about to get up and leave.

Zhang Jingdong hurriedly said, ”Wait, it’s not finished yet! If you dare to leave, I’ll have to start over!”

Hearing this, Ye Jinyan hesitated slightly, but eventually, intimidated by Zhang Jingdong’s authoritative demeanor, she resumed her previous posture.

Zhang Jingdong chuckled silently, then continued painting.

After about ten minutes, Zhang Jingdong finally finished his painting.

He proudly took the artwork from the easel, walked over to Ye Jinyan.

Handing it to her, he said, ”Aren’t you known for your keen eye for art? Now, please appreciate my first portrait painting.”

Ye Jinyan, although extremely embarrassed, since this painting was almost like her nude photo.

After a moment of struggle, she finally accepted the artwork.

At first, her gaze was somewhat evasive, but she quickly regained her serious and calm demeanor as an art connoisseur because Zhang Jingdong’s painting was indeed not haphazardly done; the overall quality was not inferior to his previous landscape painting of West Lake.

Only after ten minutes did Ye Jinyan finally look away from the painting.

She couldn’t help but admire, ”I didn’t expect, besides landscapes, you also have such a high skill level in portrait painting!”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to be profound: ”To be honest, my skill in portrait painting is far below that of landscape paintings, but this work had a special element that inspired me, resulting in this effect.”

Ye Jinyan immediately showed curiosity, ”What element?”

”My love for the model from the depths of my heart!”

Ye Jinyan was slightly taken aback, then immediately felt a warm sensation in her chest, though she remarked, ”Tch... smooth talker.”

Zhang Jingdong affectionately ruffled Ye Jinyan’s hair, ”Alright, since I’ve painted you, now you should paint me, so we can have a matching couple’s painting.”

Ye Jinyan pursed her lips, ”But I only know how to appreciate art, not how to paint.”

”Just draw whatever. Trust me, as long as there’s love in your heart, you’ll do great.”

”But I don’t...”

Ye Jinyan was about to say ”But I don’t have love for you,” but thinking Zhang Jingdong might use it as an excuse to punish her again, she held her tongue.

Instead, she said, ”Alright, since you insist, I’ll give it a try, but if it turns out bad, you can’t blame me.”

”Of course not, just relax and draw whatever you like, I believe in you.”

Ye Jinyan then got up, went to the easel, prepared a bit, then said, ”Alright, pose for me.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately struck a pose of lecturing from the side.

”You can start drawing now.”

Ye Jinyan was slightly taken aback, ”Oh, come on, isn’t this... too crude?”

Zhang Jingdong laughed, ”The more common, the more elegant. Besides, in such creations, the more original, the more vitality it has.”

Ye Jinyan gave him a sideways glance, ”…Alright.”

A minute later, Zhang Jingdong noticed Ye Jinyan hadn’t started painting, and said, ”What are you doing? Why aren’t you painting yet?”

Ye Jinyan glanced at a certain area.

”I’m waiting for you to calm down.”

”No need, just start painting!”

”But what if halfway through you... calm down?”

”Don’t worry, don’t you know my capability by now?”

Ye Jinyan pursed her lips and reluctantly started painting.

It took her a whole forty minutes to finally finish.

What surprised her was Zhang Jingdong actually maintained throughout from start to finish!

Seeing her put down the brush, Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”Are you done?”

Ye Jinyan, somewhat embarrassed, nodded: ”Yeah.”

Midway through the painting, for some reason, a huge wave of restlessness surged in her heart.

Zhang Jingdong then got up and walked over.

He quickly glanced over it, then naturally remarked, ”I told you, as long as there’s love in your heart, any painting will turn out great. This is impressive!”

He then turned to Ye Jinyan, quickly sensing her unusual demeanor.

So he said, ”Just now, me painting you was a punishment, but you painting me is a favor, and since you’ve done so well, I must reward you properly!”
