Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 100: Chapter 87: Finally Acquired Skill: Highway Markers!

It’s early morning, and Li Younan is setting out again.

Actually, he’s been driving for quite a long time; it’s been about a month, and he’s traveled several thousand kilometers. He’s become quite familiar with this car.

Sometimes, when he’s been on the road for a while, he feels like he’s a veteran driver. But only when he gets off the highway and onto the national road, where he needs to overtake, does he realize again he’s still a rookie.

Li Younan would seriously remind himself not to be too confident and to always maintain a sense of reverence for driving.

Turning onto Hongdu North Avenue, the cars on the road gradually increased, but none were going fast.

The blue line of the navigation clearly pointed towards Changsha.

Merging onto the Changli Highway entrance, and as soon as he’s on the highway, the view opens up.

The stereo played a soothing tune at a volume just enough to overshadow the swishing sound of tires on the road. The air conditioning was refreshingly cool; resting his arm on the window sill, he could feel the transition between the warm air outside and the cool air inside the car.

The fields and small hills on both sides leisurely moved backward, their green quite solid. Occasionally, faster cars whizzed past on the left, but Li Younan didn’t mind; he just focused on his own lane and drove.

Yesterday, he had filled a thermos with some ice water, and drinking it brought a burst of coolness to his throat.

Driving alone can actually be a rather pleasant thing.

While you keep your eyes on the road ahead, you gradually enter a state of flow.

Your mind unconsciously contemplates interesting things or fantasizes about some anticipated scenes, with fragmented thoughts bouncing around your head.

Li Younan mostly thought about the people he met and interacted with on this journey and their fates, followed by thoughts of his mother at home.

The sun had already risen high, and the heat from the road was slightly steaming, but the temperature inside the car remained neither hot nor cold.

Li Younan thought of Brother Long again.

Speaking of which, after drafting the contract last time, he sent it to Brother Long, but hasn’t heard anything since. Whether it’s signed or not, whether it’s sent out or not, there’s no definite news.

This is actually quite a troublesome matter. After all, Brother Long has edited several videos, but the commercial revenue sharing hasn’t been settled yet. How to share the income from previous commercial collaborations with Brother Long hasn’t been clearly considered.

It seems that Brother Long is not in any hurry, which leaves Li Younan a bit helpless.

Li Younan has always been someone who repays kindness. Accepting others’ benefits freely makes him feel like there’s a stone hanging over his heart.

This is a good aspect, but on a deeper level, Li Younan still had a tiny bit of concern... JK Long, Hyperthyroid Long? What kind of person is Brother Long?

After pondering for a while, Li Younan found it quite amusing.

If he doesn’t understand something, he just stops thinking about it.

Li Younan hummed a tune softly, not in a hurry, just driving along the road.

...

After driving a full 5 hours, Li Younan finally arrived in Changsha.

Because he set off early in the morning, now it’s actually not too late, just past noon.

After checking into a hotel, Li Younan went nearby to find something to eat. He didn’t deliberately seek out Hunan’s local snacks, just walked into a Sichuan restaurant and ordered two small dishes and a bowl of rice.

Driving all the way from the eastern part of the country to here, the cuisine has changed dramatically, with Sichuan and Hunan restaurants everywhere, and the air is filled with a spicy aroma.

Li Younan reminisced and couldn’t help but think of the time in Zhejiang. If there were no Sichuan restaurants, that place would really be unsuitable to stay in.

Li Younan doesn’t like spicy food, but he dislikes the dishes from places like Zhejiang even more.

The soy sauce-colored scrambled eggs he had at the hotel last time were sweet, making him feel quite nauseated.

Moreover, Sichuan cuisine is not all about spiciness; there are many famous dishes that aren’t spicy.

Hunan cuisine and Sichuan cuisine are almost similar now.

After lunch, Li Younan planned to go directly to Changsha’s tourist spot. Such provincial cities naturally have a tourist spot, similar to Binhai City or the capital; there could even be two or three, but they may not be the most famous places.

However, Changsha is fine, the tourist spot is on Huangxing Road.

Because of the hot weather, Li Younan didn’t rush to go there.

At this time, Jing Chaoyi hadn’t sent a message, so Li Younan estimated he was still on the plane.

Thus, Li Younan found a coffee shop, enjoyed the air conditioning, and relaxed until after 4 p.m. before taking a car to Huangxing Road.

Just arriving at Huangxing Road, Li Younan received a task notification.

This task was somewhat interesting but also a bit complicated, and for a moment, Li Younan didn’t know how to approach it.

He needs to capture audio or video of the following moments on Huangxing Road after 12 o’clock:

A singer’s performance.

Freshly made soy sauce fried powder at a stall.

The click sound of a rideshare driver folding his electric bike.

Although it doesn’t necessarily have to be in video format—audio recordings are also acceptable—seeing the midnight time requirement made Li Younan chuckle. But speaking of which, Changsha seems most famous for... nightlife?

Originally planning to complete the task before Jing Chaoyi arrived, but now it seems impossible, he’ll have to wait for Jing Chaoyi to see if it’s doable then.

Li Younan shuffled his feet, with no direction, just following the crowd.

The sound of a guitar hit his ears at the street corner, bright and clear, with a hint of wooden resonance.
