Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 99: Chapter 86: Privilege: Deep Dive

All the influencers care about are the rewards, the treatment, and the content of the work, only Li Younan...

The smile on his face radiated genuine happiness.

It seemed like he truly viewed this shoot, overlooking the work aspect, as a privileged journey.

It felt as though he was genuinely here to travel...

How to say this... it’s fascinating.

It’s time to change my perspective on influencers...

Although such people are rare, they do exist, don’t they?

After finishing the shoot, Yang Hui took the initiative to add Li Younan on WeChat, to which Li Younan was, of course, more than happy.

Yang Hui said, ”If there’s anything I can help with in the future, just send me a message.”

...

After wrapping up the video shoot, Li Younan didn’t have any more tasks to do.

He had already explored the places in-depth, so it was time to set off again.

The video certainly wouldn’t be available immediately, but since it was handled by a professional media center, there was no need for him to worry about the editing.

The next step was to wait for them to finish editing the video, then they’d contact him; this matter didn’t need immediate attention.

Throughout these days, Brother Long hadn’t reached out to Li Younan.

But after the video was done, Li Younan still proactively sent a message to Brother Long, briefly explaining the video’s content.

After all, Brother Long was his editor; they had a working partnership!

Brother Long previously mentioned he was busy with his own matters, and after Younan sent the message, Brother Long didn’t respond.

Next, it was about finalizing the travel route.

Li Younan planned to enter Hunan from Nanchang and then return to Sichuan from Hunan.

The journey from Nanchang to Changsha was only about three to four hundred kilometers, quite close, and all on highways; even driving slowly, you could reach there in about four hours.

Speaking of Hunan, as Younan lay in bed, he gave it some thought, opened his WeChat contacts, quickly found Jing Chaoyi, and sent a message: ”I’ll be in your hometown tomorrow.”

Jing Chaoyi replied almost instantly: ”Are you coming to Changsha? Oh no! I’m not even there. Why don’t you wait a couple more days? I was planning to head back in a few days!”

Younan nonchalantly said, ”No worries, we can meet next time.”

Jing Chaoyi, a bit dissatisfied, sent a sulky emoji and added, ”No way, you’re in Changsha already, I have to fulfill my duty as a host. Wait for me, I’ll fly back tomorrow.”

Younan was a bit speechless, saying, ”You really don’t have to do this.”

Jing Chaoyi insisted, ”It’s necessary! It’s very necessary! Who knows when you’ll be in Changsha next time? I have to show you around properly. It’s settled then, stay in Changsha a couple more days, and I’ll take you around.”

Seeing Jing Chaoyi so insistent, Younan didn’t say much more.

The two agreed on a rough time.

Then Younan opened his phone to video call his mom.

To Younan’s surprise, his mom wasn’t in the county these days.

When the video turned on, the background was dim, an old mud wall covered with newspapers, blackened by smoke.

Younan recognized it at once as his mom being in the countryside where his grandparents lived.

Younan asked, ”Mom, did you go back to see Grandpa and Grandma?”

His smiling mom turned the video to show his grandparents, two kind old people on screen, grinning like children.

When the video turned back to her, his mom said, ”The weather has gotten a bit warm, so I bought some summer clothes for Grandpa and Grandma. These days, the village is renovating the water pipes, and Grandpa and Grandma don’t quite understand them, so there needs to be a younger person around. I took two days off to stay and watch over them.”

Suddenly, a thought struck Younan.

Honestly speaking, the house where his grandparents lived was the oldest in their village.

Because his dad passed away unexpectedly when he was young, only the two elders were left.

When every household in the village was figuring out how to renovate and upgrade, the elders didn’t have the means.

After chatting for a while with his grandparents and mother, who were getting a bit sleepy, Younan ended the video call, and a thought began to brew in his mind...
