Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 92: Chapter 85: Atypical Internet Celebrity [6,500 Words!]

Li Younan and Zhu Qingyue packed their things before nightfall, ready to depart.

The photographer Old Wang added Li Younan on WeChat and said, ”Don’t think my photography skills are still in the learning phase; actually, I’ve been shooting videos for a while now, and I already have more than 7,000 followers.”

A little bit of pride.

As he spoke, Old Wang opened his video platform. His homepage had a whopping 200 short videos, each with sixty or seventy likes, and indeed, 7,000 followers.

Li Younan blinked, nodded, and said, ”Impressive.”

Old Wang said, ”My wife and I had a late-in-life pregnancy; don’t be fooled by the fact that our child is still young, we’re both forty-five or forty-six. These past few years have been more leisurely, so we thought about traveling around, shooting some videos and posting them on short video platforms. Recently, I’ve become obsessed with photography, bought some gear, but following online tutorials hasn’t led to anything significant. Next step, once my photography skills improve a bit, maybe I can become a popular streamer or something. By the way, do you play around with short videos much?”

Li Younan smiled: ”A little bit, yes.”

Old Wang enthusiastically said, ”Let’s follow each other...”

When he opened Li Younan’s homepage, he saw the striking number of followers and the single-digit number of videos, each video having tens of thousands of likes.

He blinked, pulling his phone back a little...

...

After bidding farewell to Old Wang and his family, Li Younan and Zhu Qingyue set off on their journey once again. They were already quite close to Nanchang, just over an hour’s drive, so they planned to head straight there.

The car drove along the dirt road by the lake, bumpy and uneven, Qingyue turned her head to look out the window.

The lake gradually narrowed in view, eventually replaced by dikes and stretches of rice fields.

The air was still heavy with moisture, the gray-white sky pressing down on the lush green waves of rice, the outlines of distant high-voltage towers barely visible.

The car merged into traffic heading toward Nanchang, picking up speed.

Qingyue closed the notebook on her lap and tucked the pencil into the side slot.

She leaned back in her seat, closed her eyes, resting a little before entering the city.

When Zhu Qingyue woke up, the car had already entered the city.

She stretched comfortably and said with a cheerful smile to Li Younan, ”Your driving skills are quite good, it wasn’t bumpy at all, and I slept soundly.”

Li Younan blinked without saying a word.

Feeling a bit worn out from the day’s activities, Li Younan and Zhu Qingyue randomly picked a hotel.

As they got out of the car, Zhu Qingyue couldn’t help but glance at the modified drawer bed in the trunk and randomly asked, ”By the way, have you used that bed?”

Li Younan nodded casually and said, ”Yes, I have, it’s quite alright to sleep on.”

Zhu Qingyue seemed thoughtful, reflecting on something, and said, ”If one could spend the night at a place like Poyang Lake, it should be quite nice...”

Li Younan went along with her words and said, ”You should have said so earlier, you could have experienced it today.”

Zhu Qingyue paused, then suddenly became serious, lightly tapping Li Younan’s forehead with her finger: ”Don’t get any wrong ideas!”

”Huh?”

Zhu Qingyue quickly walked away, as if escaping.

...

Back at the hotel, Brother Long sent a message with the edited video of Jingdezhen.

It still had that magnetic, narrated voice.

Warm, respectful, and sincere: ”In the depths of Jingdezhen’s alleys, time has its own pace.”

Li Younan watched the entire video in silence. The video mostly mixed the footage he shot in Jingdezhen, a contrast to his earlier style, turning more solemn and quiet.

Zhu Qingyue’s script was beautifully written, combined with advanced editing techniques, giving a storytelling feel.

Li Younan wasn’t sure if this video would gain traffic, but after watching it, he felt peaceful inside.

Li Younan sent Brother Long a message: ”Thanks for your hard work.”

Brother Long said: ”Not too bad, just editing to match the script, which was really well-written. I didn’t expect you to be quite artistic.”

Li Younan didn’t explain, thinking Zhu Qingyue and Brother Long were unlikely to cross paths, so he bragged a bit: ”Someone once said I have the soul of an artist.”

Brother Long replied: ”Then in the future, you can be in charge of all the scripts.”

Li Younan’s expression stiffened slightly and quickly replied: ”Uh, I was just bragging, that script was written by someone else for me.”

Brother Long paused before sending a message: ”It must be that girl who’s been with you, right?”

Li Younan curiously asked: ”How did you know?”

Brother Long said: ”Such delicate writing seems like it could only have been written by a girl.”

Li Younan joked: ”Looks like you really understand girls, Brother Long.”

Brother Long simply said, ”It’s not something to be proud of.”

In his mind, Li Younan imagined someone like Huang Xiaoyang, surrounded by many girls but interested in none.

Yet somehow, these types of people were still very popular among girls.

Brother Long didn’t continue the topic, saying: ”I won’t be able to help you edit videos for the next three days; I have some personal matters to attend to.”

Li Younan said: ”Okay, no problem.”

He already had plans for those three days and actually wouldn’t have time to shoot videos. Or rather, for the next two days, someone else would be helping him with video production.

After posting the Jingdezhen video on his homepage, Li Younan opened his work WeChat and found a newly added friend labeled as Nanchang Comprehensive Media Center...
