Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 93: Chapter 85: Atypical Internet Celebrity

...

Zhu Qingyue is having a video call with Sweetness.

In the video, Sweetness is wearing pink pajamas, sitting on the bed, playing with her hair, and sighing slowly. ”Quietly, you ran off to Nanchang. Don’t tell me you went to see Li Younan.”

Zhu Qingyue didn’t respond and switched to another topic. ”Your pajamas look nice.”

”You said last time they didn’t look nice, did you forget? We bought them together.”

”Tastes change.”

”Don’t change the subject. How long do you plan to stay out? It’s going to be my birthday soon. You have to come back, right?”

Zhu Qingyue paused for a moment.

Last time, she spent a long time persuading her dad to agree to let her travel for a while.

She was still in the capital at the time, and texted Li Younan asking where he was. Li Younan said he was heading to Jingdezhen.

Without thinking, Zhu Qingyue replied to Li Younan that she was in Jiangxi.

Then she caught a plane to Nanchang overnight and took a bus to Jingdezhen the next day to meet up with Li Younan.

A week has passed in the blink of an eye, and Sweetness doesn’t know that she’s been with Li Younan for almost a week.

Most of the past week was spent in Jingdezhen.

Zhu Qingyue sat on the chair by the window, the sky outside was a darkening gray-blue.

In her hand was a small clay pig randomly carved by Li Younan, a bit cold and somewhat heavy.

This week felt like being soaked in warm water, slowly flowing by.

No crowded tourist spots to visit, no popular restaurants to queue up for.

Mostly just following his steps.

He didn’t walk fast, often stopping to watch an old craftsman shaping clay deep in an alley, or see how the sunshine climbed over a mottled mud wall, or just to watch a cat nap on a wall.

With the camera hanging around his neck, he wasn’t in a hurry to lift it up, as if he had to see those scenes enough with his own eyes before letting them seep into the lens.

The things he captured all seemed to carry a quiet breath when looked at later.

While camping, she once again tasted his cooking, clean flavors, just like him, without unnecessary embellishments but perfectly fitting.

This little pig, it’s really adorable.

Maybe, while carving, there was a slight curve at the corner of his mouth that even he didn’t notice, and maybe his eyes relaxed, watching the lump of clay come to life, turning into a clumsy little pig with a moist nose.

Now, the room was very quiet.

Zhu Qingyue placed the fully dried, hardened little pig on the table.

Looking back, in this week, he didn’t say anything special, didn’t do anything earth-shattering, just walked, took pictures, talked, and sculpted a little pig.

Although he was a video blogger, Zhu Qingyue could feel that he wasn’t chasing after anything, nor was he trying to showcase anything on purpose.

It was nice.

Really wish to keep walking with him a while longer.

But Sweetness’s birthday, her long-time best girlfriend, she had to go.

It’s all Sweetness’s fault.

Zhu Qingyue sighed slightly, lay on the table, raised her eyes, poked the little pig’s nose with her hand, and then burst into laughter.

She also wanted to lie on his little bed in the car, but that would have to wait until next time.

...

Zhu Qingyue said she plans to head back to the capital first.

Li Younan was a bit surprised and chuckled, ”I really envy you all, just taking off and running around the country, traveling from Nanchang to the capital like it’s no different than going to the People’s Park.”

Zhu Qingyue heard the teasing in Li Younan’s tone, punched him.

Before leaving, she took out the little pig Li Younan gave her and said, ”Look how happy this pig will be, because it’s mine now.”

Li Younan chuckled, ”This is just clay, it can’t feel happiness.”

Zhu Qingyue frowned, angrily said, ”You must be against romanticism! I’m not talking to you.”

After sending Zhu Qingyue off, Li Younan started to prepare for checking in and filming in Nanchang.

Actually, this deal wasn’t sent to him because of watching his Douyin videos; it was specifically recommended to him by Jing Chaoyi.

Jing Chaoyi often helps some institutions write copy, come up with some plans, sometimes takes on design jobs, including some official accounts.

For example, she took the Hangzhou media order before.

Within the system, units of the same level have very close connections, and they borrow each other’s ideas.

Introductions and recommendations by acquaintances, in short, through a chain of connections, Nanchang Comprehensive Media Center somehow linked up with Li Younan.

Nanchang is also trying to establish itself as an influencer city, and without a doubt, short video platforms are the best for spreading content.

They’ve found some influencers before to help shoot videos, but the results weren’t satisfactory, at least that’s what Jing Chaoyi said.

Li Younan didn’t have a strong desire to accomplish this task. The staff just asked him to visit the media center first for a meeting.

The tone wasn’t enthusiastic, just businesslike.

Li Younan wasn’t burdened with a never-removed Confucian-style long robe, since he was in Nanchang anyway, he might as well shoot a video and earn some extra cash, nothing wrong with that.

After agreeing, the meeting was scheduled for this afternoon.

This afternoon, he probably couldn’t visit the check-in spot in Nanchang, which was located at the August First Uprising Memorial Hall.
