Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 98: Chapter 86: Privilege: Deep Immersion [6,200 Words!]

The barrier lifted, and the car drove directly into the internal parking lot.

As they got out, they could still hear the buzzing noise from the queue of tourists outside the wall.

”We’ll film two points,”

Xiaoliu said, holding the script, ”One after closing time, before the Bayi Light Show starts, when it’s quieter and less crowded, we’ll film you running and vaulting around the exterior of the building. Keep the action sharp, highlighting this old building. The other will be after the light show starts, filming your subjective perspective integrated into the light background and dynamic silhouette. The drone will also be up.”

Li Younan looked up at the century-old building. Built in 1924, the Jiangxi Grand Hotel became a historical site that changed China’s fate in 1927.

Gray walls and blue bricks, silently weighty.

The task followed, so simple that Li Younan was a bit surprised.

[Listen to the explanation for 30 minutes.]

With regular tourists coming in, Li Younan and the staff slowly followed the crowd to see the artifacts in the display cabinets, listening to explanations, feeling the quiet of history.

Completed the task before the museum closed.

[Task completed!]

[Random skill...]

[Plumbing and electrical skill +1]

Li Younan found it amusing. Although the skill wasn’t the driving skill he always wanted, the plumbing and electrical skill combined with the carpentry and masonry skills acquired before could perfectly fit together, making it possible for him to renovate a house himself now.

[Plumbing and electrical skill lv.1: Eyes see through six walls’ hidden dangers, mastering flawless hidden pipe operations, enabling the water and electrical systems to silently run within the walls for thirty years.]

Standing in the courtyard after closing, empty and devoid of people, only the birds returning to their nests chirped on the eaves.

The immersive feeling brought by the emptiness was incomparable to being jostled among the crowd during the day.

Taking advantage of the last bit of daylight, filming began.

Li Younan ran quickly along the corridor under the rectangular building; the sound of footsteps echoed clearly in the empty courtyard.

Stepping onto a stone pier, he leaped onto a low wall, quickly walked a few steps along the narrow top of the wall, and flipped down to the ground—clean movements, with the iconic windows and brick walls of the Jiangxi Grand Hotel as the backdrop.

Brother Zhang’s camera followed steadily, while the drone silently hovered overhead. Reviewing the footage showed a fascinating tension, modern extreme sports dynamics frozen against the peaceful historical building backdrop.

It was completely dark.

Visitors were allowed to enter, gathering in the courtyard of the memorial hall, waiting for the light show that started at 8:30.

They retreated to the reserved filming area, and the staff put up isolation tape.

The curious tourists looked over, discussing the equipment and drone, their phone screens glowing like small light spots in the dim light.

At 8:30 sharp, the music suddenly rose.

A beam of light illuminated the building, instantly activating the entire Jiangxi Grand Hotel, turning it into a giant light and shadow canvas. Particle effects flowed on the brick walls, outlining the weathered contours.

The crowd let out a low murmur of amazement.

”Younan, get ready!”

Brother Zhang’s voice came through the headset. Li Younan’s motion camera was fixed to his chest, and his helmet’s recording mode was on.

When the third Chapter began, and the holographic projection of the red military flag unfurled at the top of the building...

Li Younan moved!

Running along the edge of the isolation tape, using the changing lights on the building as a backdrop.

In the field of view of the motion camera, the rapidly passing ground, shaking human light spots, and the huge, fluttering virtual military flag ahead.

The sound of the wind, music, and the crowd’s exclamations mixed together, pouring into his ears.

The drone’s panoramic view was even more stunning, a small silhouette rapidly moving, jumping, tumbling on the ground in front of the building, with the constantly exploding and reconstructing epic light and shadow as the background.

Outside the isolation tape, the regular spectators gazed upwards, holding their phones, completely immersed in this audiovisual spectacle.

The light show was reaching its end; the gilded words ”The people’s army loyal to the Party” blossomed in the night sky.

The on-site audience spontaneously turned on their phone flashlights, forming a sea of stars that contrasted with the virtual golden fireworks cascading down the building.

At this moment, both tourists and their ”staff,” stood quietly under this sea of stars and the light waterfall.

Li Younan stopped moving, his chest slightly heaving, his mouth beneath the helmet couldn’t help but curl up.

Not for capturing good footage, but purely touched by this spontaneous, silent tribute.

The lights went out, the music stopped, applause erupted from the crowd as they started to slowly disperse.

Brother Zhang and the team began packing up the equipment.

Yang Hui had somehow arrived at the scene and watched the entire performance from the side.

She walked over and handed Li Younan a bottle of water, ”Finished filming? How do you feel?”

”It’s amazing.” Li Younan twisted the cap open and drank a big gulp, pointing at the gray building that was returning to calm, ”You know, just watching the video clips doesn’t really do it justice, you have to be here, with so many people, enveloped in the light, overwhelmed by the music to really feel it.”

These words were truly heartfelt.

The privilege of solitude during the day and the privilege of shared awe at night.

Yang Hui smiled, ”Did you complete all the actions designed in the script?”

”Exceeded,” Li Younan shook his helmet, ”The motion camera is full of first-person views of the Starlight Boulevard.”

”Good, as long as the footage is sufficient. You’ve worked hard these past few days.” Yang Hui’s tone was very sincere.

”Not hard at all.” Li Younan smiled, speaking honestly, ”No need to queue, no need to squeeze, viewing the building before closing, watching the big show after opening, and followed your professional team through Nanchang.”

Yang Hui paused.

She was really surprised, none of the influencers she had collaborated with were ever like this.
