Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 62: Chapter 61: A Small Profit

Zhou Xiaotiao seems addicted.

That ”alright” photo seemed like a shot of adrenaline for him, the remaining bit of critique in his gaze completely transformed into a fiery desire.

But what amused Li Younan was, it was clear that this desire wasn’t for photography skills, but for the perfectly captured, radiant version of himself in the picture.

Zhou Xiaotiao sneered: ”200 it is! But you need to take another set for me... a complete set of photos!”

”Here, dolphin dive!”

”Kick off the wall!”

”Precision leap into a front flip landing!”

”Give me something fierce, hanging suspension against the wall!”

Commands came one after another, along with an undeniable excitement.

He no longer mentioned capturing essence, but every move was packed with all his strength, muscles bulging, eyes sharp as if trying to weld every ounce of power and style into Li Younan’s camera sensor.

Li Younan could clearly sense that this guy was completely immersed in that self-indulgent moment, perfectly about to be represented again.

Beside them, Jing Chaoyi stared in disbelief.

She couldn’t believe there are actually people like this in the world...

Li Younan said little, just followed Zhou Xiaotiao around.

Sand beneath his feet was scorching, the salty smell in the air mixed with the heat emanating from his body.

The camera calmly chased, anticipated, locked. Each gentle click of the shutter precisely captured the peak of his power bursts.

Every time he landed, Zhou Xiaotiao carried a hint of panting and undisguised anticipation, striding over energetically.

Zhou Xiaotiao inspected closely, his fingers unconsciously tracing the muscle lines on the screen, flinging sweat, focused gaze, Adam’s apple moving, and then he squeezed out: ”This one... works.”

”Mm, this one has the right feeling.”

”Passable, usable.”

The sun was blazing overhead, this guy really had good stamina.

When taking the last photo hanging from the rock wall, Zhou Xiaotiao’s arms trembled slightly, but the light in his eyes remained astonishingly bright.

Finally, he jumped off the low wall, gasping heavily.

”Alright,” he wiped his face, sweat leaving dark spots on the sand, ”Send them to me, package them. How’s the payment?” he asked casually.

Li Younan hung the camera back around his neck and took out the memory card inside.

Li Younan had specially bought many new cards. When taking photos for Zhou Xiaotiao, he specially installed one, containing all the photos just taken, to directly give the card to him.

Then he looked up at him, tone as flat as announcing the price of coconuts on the beach:

”There are over 80 photos, each at 200 yuan...”

The sea breeze seemed to suddenly pause for a second.

Zhou Xiaotiao’s eyes widened, almost popping out, staring straight at Li Younan. ”What... how much?!” His voice raised eight octaves, full of disbelief, ”Each one at 200 yuan!”

”Giving you a discount, package them all at 2000 yuan.”

Li Younan’s tone remained unchanged, fingers lightly tapping on the camera’s cold metal shell, ”Shutter, lens, memory card, and my time, vision, footwork, and the rarest thing on this beach... technique!”

”Charged per photo, honest pricing. You chose the locations, you picked the actions, not a single photo missing.”

Zhou Xiaotiao looked at Li Younan, then at the silent camera hanging on Li Younan’s chest, his expression for the first time replaced with a naked, painfully embarrassed and angry look.

Not that Li Younan intended to earn that 2000 yuan, but an unexplained sense of mischievous pleasure rose in him. Watching this scene before him, he found it amusing.

Cough cough... Human nature is inherently evil, human nature is inherently evil.

Beside him, Jing Chaoyi was even more stunned.

Ah! The senior is so bad.

Zhou Xiaotiao’s lips trembled, wanting to curse, but restrained himself and turned away.

Li Younan said: ”If you don’t want them... I’ll delete them.”

His footsteps paused.

He abruptly turned around, his fingers swiftly tapping at the screen, voice pressed low, yet the rush of anger and clenched teeth still intermittently floated over with the sea breeze...

”Crooked merchant!”

His gaze cut across Li Younan like a knife.

”Just wait!”

He viciously squeezed out two words from between his teeth.

He took a deep breath, operated the screen a bit, then looked up, ”Send me the payment QR code!”

Li Younan: ”...”

Finally, Li Younan tearfully collected only 2000 yuan from Zhou Xiaotiao.

Li Younan didn’t forget to ask Zhou Xiaotiao an extra question, if the photos could be published in his video, at this point, Zhou Xiaotiao finally regained his previous composure, casually saying: ”Sure, I won’t charge you.”

Li Younan thought, if you charge, I won’t publish them.

Time quickly passed noon, there were quite a few snacks nearby, but they were relatively expensive. Fortunately, such scenes wouldn’t happen often, Li Younan and Jing Chaoyi didn’t mind much, each got a serving of pineapple rice.

Next was the immersive carnival experience; Li Younan and Jing Chaoyi stopped by various spots.

Jing Chaoyi signed up for the roller-skating competition. However, among all the venues, roller-skating was a very niche event; not only were there few participants, but also fewer spectators. In contrast, the skateboarding and parkour competitions far exceeded roller-skating in terms of venue and crowd.

Nonetheless, the roller-skating girl was only here to make up the numbers. After the afternoon group matches started, she was eliminated shortly after. She ran to Li Younan, proudly saying: ”I completed all the matches!”

Admittedly, Li Younan admired such an attitude.

Jing Chaoyi also said to Li Younan: ”Let’s go watch the skateboarding and parkour competitions over there!”

These two competitions were major events, so the organizers staggered the times. It was parkour competition time now.

Unlike the roller-skating, parkour competition had no group matches. Participating in this parkour event had thresholds, only over 20 contestants, all top-level, with more than half being international stars. Li Younan explained the rules to Jing Chaoyi: ”Parkour has three events: speed race, skill competition, and chase race.”

”Speed race, to put it simply, is an unrestricted movement along a designated route, seeing who runs faster.”

”Skill competition is somewhat similar to gymnastics, focusing on the beauty and completion of movements, difficulty levels, etc., scored by judges.”

”Chase race is more straightforward, two people on the field within a set time, one runs, one chases, using their skills to see if they can catch the other.”

The parkour venue was very large, with thorough cushioning treatments. Because of its good visibility, it attracted the largest crowd, mostly young people. The currently ongoing skill competition, with players performing stunning parkour moves, garnered waves of applause and cheers from the audience.

Li Younan and Jing Chaoyi initially had poorer positions, their views completely blocked by spectators, not expecting that a staff member, the same guy Li Younan had photographed before, enthusiastically invited him to watch the competition in a staff-exclusive area.

Jing Chaoyi gazed admiringly at Li Younan, indeed following a reliable senior, even attending carnivals felt enjoyable.

From this spot, Li Younan saw Zhou Xiaotiao again, who was warming up.

Zhou Xiaotiao’s expression wasn’t as exaggerated as before, his eyes firm, his face serious.

At that moment, the previous contestant had completed the full routine, judges were scoring on-site, awarding the highest score of the event. The contestant had dramatic lip and ear rings, and when he left, he passed right by Zhou Xiaotiao.

Li Younan heard a voice with a strange accent speaking to Zhou Xiaotiao: ”Perform well.”

Although saying ”perform well,” the tone carried a sense of contempt. Zhou Xiaotiao’s expression looked more unpleasant, coldly saying: ”Just wait, you won’t be lucky this year.”

”Lucky? Haha, you Chinese folks like attributing wins and losses to luck?”

Li Younan found it odd... not a Chinese person?

At that moment, the staff guy who invited Li Younan over said: ”That person is South Korean, last year at the global parkour elite competition held in Taiwan, chase race event, he thoroughly schooled Zhou Xiaotiao.”

Li Younan responded with an ”oh,” pondering thoughtfully.
