Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Chapter 81: Chapter 80: Brother Li, You’re a Top Streamer!

Along the way, the hike would take several hours, naturally filled with chatting.

When they weren’t very familiar with each other before, there were some questions that were hard to ask. Now, as they passed through the Lotus New Path, the Tortoise and Hare Rock, the Lotus Pavilion, the Hundred Step Cloud Ladder, the Single Line Sky to Ao Fish Peak, and then to Celestial Sea, gradually approaching Bright Summit, the two also became gradually familiar with each other.

During the conversation, Li Younan naturally began to sketch a rough outline of Zhizhi.

Zhizhi isn’t very old, just turned 22, freshly graduated from college, and embarked on this brave road trip. Like Jing Chaoyi, Zhizhi also does some part-time jobs on the road; she has a regular client for writing copy for some companies.

Li Younan asked her: ”How long have you been out?”

Zhizhi replied: ”A month.”

Li Younan calculated, the timing was right, it’s now July, and Zhizhi indeed graduated not long ago, no wonder her talking and actions still carried the naive flavor typical of a college student.

Setting aside these, Zhizhi is a good girl, naive and optimistic.

When they were about to reach Bright Summit, Zhizhi couldn’t climb anymore and found a place to rest, sipping water from a bottle.

After the rain, the sunlight was very strong, heating the rocks, but a breeze from the mountains brought coolness. Zhizhi’s forehead was covered with fine sweat beads, her face flushed.

Li Younan took off Zhizhi’s hat to fan some air, looking at the layered mountains in the distance.

”How long do you plan to run around on this trip?” Li Younan asked her.

”Not set in stone,” she placed the water bottle on the stone beside, ”When the money runs out or the car can’t take it anymore, then I’ll head back.”

”That second-hand Polo?” Li Younan asked.

”Yeah,” she smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed, ”Parents gave me fifty thousand, I saved up fifty thousand myself. Bought the car, the rest is for road expenses.”

”Just out of college, buying a second-hand car to hit the road, pretty bold.” What Li Younan said was the truth.

”It’s not all boldness,” she fiddled with the water bottle cap, ”just felt... If I don’t leave now, I might really get trapped. Working, renting, paying off the mortgage... Just thinking about it makes me feel suffocated. At least now the steering wheel is in my hands, want to go somewhere, just hit the gas.”

She paused, then added: ”I’m earning along the way too, aren’t I.”

”That’s good,” Li Younan nodded, ”Walking and seeing while supporting yourself.”

”Yeah, as long as I can make a living,” she sounded relaxed, ”I should repay those fifty thousand from my parents first, for peace of mind.” She said it naturally, without complaint or grand declarations, it’s just something that needed to be done.

The mountain breeze blew stronger, swinging her tied-up ponytail back and forth. Li Younan looked at her sun-burnt cheeks and the eyes that looked out afar, clear rather than confused.

”Ever thought about filming some stuff?” Li Younan took out his phone, recorded a few seconds of the distant sea of clouds, then put it down, ”For instance, on your trip, the scenery, the people you meet, repairing cars, finding places to stay, even getting lost... Film it?”

She turned her head to look at Li Younan, a little puzzled: ”Film?”

Li Younan nodded, smiling: ”I’m not very good at this, but you can indeed earn some extra money... Might even go viral.”

Li Younan put the phone back into his pocket, ”It’s just recording. What you mentioned earlier, the steering wheel is in your hands, driving and stopping at will, earning along the way... Isn’t it quite interesting? Many people trapped in office cubicles might love watching this.”

She didn’t answer immediately, her fingers unconsciously picking at the label on the water bottle.

”What’s wrong?” Li Younan asked.

”A bit scared of filming poorly,” she admitted honestly, ”and... feels like everyone is filming.”

”Give it a try,” Li Younan looked at her, ”just like you decided to drive out. Initially, maybe nobody will watch, but what if? At least filming it for yourself to look back on later is something. Don’t think about what others want, just film what you see, experience, keep it real. Your trip itself is content.”

She stayed silent for a while, her gaze falling on the winding road below again, seemingly imagining the places she would pass through. Then, she softly replied, her voice not loud but quite clear.

She picked up the water bottle, took another sip, the corners of her mouth slightly curled upward, ”Anyway, the phone is always with me, trying doesn’t cost anything.” She looked up at Li Younan, ”Oh, by the way, Brother Li, you mentioned you also film videos, what’s your ID? I’ll follow you!”

Li Younan said: ”Search for Li Younan now, you should be able to find it.”

Zhizhi was taken aback for a moment, looking down to search on her phone, murmuring: ”Using your real name...”

Then she dazedly lifted her head, looked at Li Younan in front and then at the video homepage on the phone, said: ”Brother Li, I didn’t expect you to be a big streamer!”

This comment immediately attracted curious glances from the surrounding tourists.

Li Younan coughed a bit, feeling slightly embarrassed; this little girl hadn’t seen much of the world; just 50,000 followers, how could that be called a big streamer.

She casually tapped on one of Li Younan’s videos, watching with her eyes widened, said: ”I didn’t expect so many people to watch your videos.”

Zhizhi almost seemed to say it as if Li Younan had hundreds of millions of followers.

Sure enough, this remark made some onlookers even more curious, casting their gaze at Li Younan.

Li Younan coughed once, hastily pulled Zhizhi to escape.

Someone started bragging behind them: ”Hey, did you know? There was a big streamer just passed by, has hundreds of millions of followers!”

”Hundreds of millions of followers! Who is it?”

”Didn’t hear clearly the name... Seemed that little girl said something like Brother Li, Brother Li.”

”Could it be that esports player from South Korea?”

”Have you heard? Lee Sang-hyeok is at Huang Mountain, right on Bright Summit!”

”Ah! Brother Li is on the mountain?”

”What? Li Jian is on the mountain!”

...

What will happen to Zhizhi in the future, Li Younan temporarily doesn’t know.

Neither does he know what kind of chemical reaction his casual suggestion might create in this little girl’s life.

Perhaps one day Zhizhi would really take his advice, start filming videos to become a streamer, and with a very small chance, become famous.

Or maybe, her initial enthusiasm after leaving college would gradually be worn away by reality, after crazy play for one or two months outside, return in defeat.

It’s all uncertain.

But that’s okay, during a journey, encountering and getting to know various people, hearing all kinds of stories is itself an interesting thing.

The two successfully reached Bright Summit, and just as they touched the top, Li Younan received a system prompt.

[Task Completed]

[Random Reward...]

[Skill Acquired: Masonry +1]

[Masonry lv.1: Mortar flows obediently like rivers at your fingertips, bricks become precise piano keys, constructing solid, reliable poetry]

Li Younan felt a twinge of disappointment; well, it wasn’t the driving skill he longed for again.

I must say, the skills gained now are getting more ridiculous; he already had carpenter and masonry skills, if added with plumbing skills, he could renovate a house without hiring workers.
