Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1694: Chapter 1693: Unlike You, I Don’t Have Experience

Outside, in the resting area.

Qin Mu stood by the window, while Luo Haofeng and Mo Xiuchen sat on the chairs with the three children. At the end of the corridor, Gu Kai, dressed in a white coat, walked over gracefully.

Qin Mu finished the call to announce the good news to his parents and in-laws. When he turned around, he saw Luo Haofeng and Mo Xiuchen looking at him.

As if they were studying him.

“What are you two looking at me for?”

Qin Mu frowned and asked in confusion, then looked up at

Luo Haofeng, who laughed first, his charming eyes sparkling, “Ah Mu, Ah Kai said you almost fainted in the operating room just now.”

“Nonsense.”

Qin Mu glared at Gu Kai, who raised his eyebrows and looked at him frankly, “Didn’t you? I just heard the director who delivered An Lin say that you were scared to death. Even when the baby was born and shown to you, you wouldn’t look.”

“Ah Kai, it’s Ah Mu’s first time having a child, unlike you. You’ve done it twice, so you have experience.”

Mo Xiuchen slowly chimed in.

Immediately, Qin Mu looked at him with disdain, “If I remember correctly, although Bai Yiyi gave Ah Kai two children, he was only there for one.”

“As for Mo Xiuchen, you only rushed back after Ranran had given birth. As for Haofeng, there’s no need to mention him. His child is still a cell. So don’t laugh at me.”

“Haha, it actually makes some sense when you put it that way.”

Gu Kai glanced at Mo Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng.

Luo Haofeng’s expression changed slightly, but quickly returned to normal, making one feel as if that brief change was an illusion.

Yet Mo Xiuchen was indeed reminded of the time when Ranran gave birth to Momo and Ziyi, and he wasn’t there by her side.

“Have you and An Lin seen the baby yet? I’ll have the nurse bring her over.”

Gu Kai took another look at Mo Xiuchen, then turned to look at Ziyi, who was sitting on the chair pretending to be a little gentleman, “Ziyi, go with Uncle to bring your sister.”

“Okay.”

Ziyi looked at Luo Haofeng with a glance, and then slid off the chair with a smile.

Momo and Xinxin saw Ziyi leaving and wanted to follow, calling ‘Uncle’ as they did.

“Momo, Xinxin, let’s wait here. Uncle and brother will be back soon.”

Mo Xiuchen coaxed them with a smile.

“Uncle, is my sister pretty?”

Ziyi, holding hands with Gu Kai, headed to the end of the corridor.

Gu Kai looked down at him with a smiling gaze, “Ziyi, what do you think is pretty?”

“Like Aunt An, that’s pretty.”

Ziyi blinked his beautiful eyes, thought for a moment, and said, “Just now, Uncle Luo told me not to like my sister.”

“Why?”

Gu Kai raised his voice slightly, smiling as he looked at him.

“He told me to like the sister he will have in the future.” Saying this, Ziyi pouted, “Uncle Luo isn’t even married yet, although if he married my godmother, it might be possible.”

**

“Uncle, can I hold my sister?”

Gu Kai took the baby from the nurse, and Ziyi immediately widened his eyes in curiosity, looking up at him.

“You can’t hold her, but here, Uncle will hold her, and you can touch her hand.”

Gu Kai looked at Ziyi, squatted down so he could see the baby in the swaddling clothes at eye level.

When he squatted down, Ziyi truly saw his sister’s appearance. He saw her with closed eyes, not crying or fussing, quiet and adorable.

This was Ziyi’s first impression.

A smile appeared on his eyebrows and eyes, then spread across his entire handsome little face.

“Sister.”

As if afraid of scaring her, Ziyi softly called out, then reached out his small hand to touch hers.

As soon as he touched her little hand, she, who had been asleep, woke up.

Ziyi’s fingers were caught by her hand.

She actually knew to grab his hand.

Ziyi thought it was so amazing.

Her hand was open just now, and because of his touch, she grasped him and slowly opened one eye.

“Uncle, my sister opened her eyes, why only one?”

Gu Kai said gently, “She’s too little; when she’s a bit older, she’ll open both eyes together.”

“Sister, I’m your brother.”

Upon hearing Gu Kai say that his sister was too little, afraid she couldn’t see him, Ziyi leaned in close.

Thus, he was very close.

Then, he was surprised because it seemed his sister saw him and heard him; she slightly curled her little mouth.

Though it didn’t look like a smile, Ziyi felt this was a smile.

Previously, when An Lin came over often, during fetal movement, An Lin would let Ziyi’s hand feel his sister’s presence and communicate with her.

“Ziyi, it seems your sister likes you a lot. She was just smiling at you.”

“Uncle, she won’t let go of my hand.”

Ziyi looked down at his hand, which was being held. Her hand was small, and his fingers were not big, making it a perfect fit.

Gu Kai chuckled, “Tell her we need to take her to see Mom and Dad, then gently pull out your finger.”

“Oh.”

Ziyi followed Gu Kai’s instructions, softly coaxing near her ear, “Sister, Brother is going to take you to meet Mom and Dad.”

“Let go of my hand, and I’ll play with you later.”

“Ziyi, is she pretty?”

“Pretty, just like brother.”

Ziyi really had a way with words.

The brother he was referring to was, of course, Gu Kai’s son.

Gu Kai laughed heartily, and Ziyi took the opportunity to retrieve his finger. Gu Kai held the baby and returned to the ward with Ziyi.

Seeing Gu Kai and Ziyi return, Momo and Xinxin happily called out and slid off the chair to run towards them.

“Momo, Xinxin, slow down.”

Qin Mu watched and promptly went up to meet them.

Mo Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng stood up, watching them from their spot.

“Ah Kai, let me hold her.”

Qin Mu looked at the baby in Gu Kai’s arms. She was awake but not crying, with one eye open and the other closed.

At birth, the baby weighed only five pounds.

Apart from her bones, she looked like just a crumpled layer of skin with hardly any flesh.

Unlike Gu Kai’s son, who looked plump at birth.

“Be careful.”

Gu Kai, fearing Qin Mu wouldn’t know how to hold the baby, carefully handed her over.

Qin Mu took his daughter into his arms, feeling an indescribable excitement and joy.

A happy and contented smile curled on his lips.

Her eyes grew tired, and when she entered Qin Mu’s arms, they gradually closed.

Qin Mu wasn’t the least bit disappointed that his daughter didn’t open her eyes to look at him. He smiled tenderly and lowered his head, gently kissing her forehead.

Perhaps due to the parental bond, as soon as he kissed her, she slowly opened her tired eyes a slit.

Curiously, she looked at Qin Mu.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but chuckle softly, “Baby, I’m Daddy.”

Once he said that, Ziyi’s innocent voice chimed in, “Uncle Qin, my sister just smiled at me.”

“She smiled at you?”

Qin Mu looked at Ziyi in surprise.

Ziyi nodded seriously, his handsome face full of pride, “Uncle Qin, did she smile at you?”
