Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1668: Chapter 1667: Going to His House

Bai Xiaoxiao had initially thought that Xiao Yuting would invite her for a Western dinner.

Surprisingly, Xiao Yuting wanted to invite her home for a meal.

“I’ve learned to cook in the past two years, Xiaoxiao. Tonight, you can try my cooking.”

“Let’s eat out.”

Bai Xiaoxiao frowned slightly, gently refusing.

Xiao Yuting smiled knowingly, “Don’t worry, it’s not just me. My parents will be there too. Actually, my parents have been wanting me to invite you over since they heard you returned. You’ve been too busy lately, so I haven’t mentioned it.”

“Xiaoxiao, you’re not the kind of girl who’s shy. You’re not afraid to come to my house, are you? I promise I won’t do anything to you.”

Seeing her hesitate, Xiao Yuting continued speaking.

Bai Xiaoxiao thought for a moment, then looked up at Xiao Yuting and asked, “Do you know Xu Wanqi?”

Xiao Yuting’s eyes flickered, then he smiled, “Xiaoxiao, you’ve always been clever. Your guess is, of course, correct.”

Bai Xiaoxiao lowered her head to organize some files. Two minutes later, she came out from behind the desk and said casually, “I haven’t seen Uncle Xiao and Auntie for over two years. I wonder if they will like the gifts I bought?”

“Haha, as long as it’s something you bought, my mom will treasure it regardless.”

Xiao Yuting’s smile became radiant.

Leaving the office, Bai Xiaoxiao’s assistant brought some documents for her to sign. After signing, she gave the assistant a few instructions and then walked to the elevator with Xiao Yuting.

Inside the café on the second floor opposite the office building.

Xu Wanqi hadn’t left.

She ran into Xiao Yuting when she left Bai’s office, and later went to the café across the street.

Seeing Xiao Yuting and Bai Xiaoxiao come out of the building, Xu Wanqi, sitting by the window, narrowed her eyes.

She put down her coffee, took out her phone, and snapped photos of the two as they walked toward the parking lot.

“Xiaoxiao.”

Walking side by side with Bai Xiaoxiao, Xiao Yuting suddenly called out to her.

Bai Xiaoxiao paused.

She stopped and turned, looking at Xiao Yuting with confusion.

Xiao Yuting smiled slightly, stretching his long fingers towards her shoulder, and in Bai Xiaoxiao’s puzzling gaze, his hand reached out in front of her.

“You dropped a hair.”

“Metabolism, losing hair isn’t strange.” Bai Xiaoxiao thought it was something serious.

Turns out it was just a strand of hair.

Xiao Yuting was amused by her words, “Maybe it’s because your hair is long, while mine is short and it’s not noticeable.”

Bai Xiaoxiao gave a perfunctory smile and continued walking forward.

Xiao Yuting watched her back, his eyes flickered, then he turned and glanced at the second floor across the street.

He quickly caught up with Bai Xiaoxiao.

Xu Wanqi hadn’t missed the moment when Xiao Yuting and Bai Xiaoxiao stopped.

From her perspective, there was no doubt Xiao Yuting and Bai Xiaoxiao seemed intimate.

When Xiao Yuting looked in her direction, Xu Wanqi was startled, her body trembling, and her hand shook, causing her phone to drop onto the table.

Xu Wanqi pulled the curtains to hide herself.

Once seated properly, she picked up her phone from the table and examined the photos she had just taken.

She took several photos, finding three that she was particularly satisfied with.

Especially the one where Xiao Yuting reached out to Bai Xiaoxiao, capturing Bai Xiaoxiao’s puzzled gaze. Their proximity implied intimacy, sparking imagination, despite Xiao Yuting’s expression not being visible.

Xu Wanqi’s eyes flashed with a cold smile: Bai Xiaoxiao is dating her senior while flirting with other men.

She wanted to see if the senior would still cherish Bai Xiaoxiao upon knowing about her flirting with other men.

Bai Xiaoxiao called her mom, telling her she’d be having dinner at the Xiao family tonight.

The Bai family and the Xiao family were originally quite close.

When she and Xiao Yuting arrived at his house, Mother Bai was already sitting in the Xiao family’s living room.

“Mom, why are you here?”

Bai Xiaoxiao looked at her mom in surprise.

Mother Bai smiled, “I was bored at home, so I came over. Your dad and Uncle Xiao have engagements tonight.”

Bai Xiaoxiao politely greeted Mother Xiao.

Mother Xiao praised her beauty and capability a few more times.

Then she told Xiao Yuting, “Yuting, chat with Xiaoxiao for a while. Aunt Qiao and I are going to the kitchen.”

“Mom, you’re cooking with Aunt Qiao, so we’ll have a feast tonight. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of our guest, Xiaoxiao.”

“You smooth talker.”

Mother Xiao scolded him gently.

She pulled Mother Bai into the kitchen.

“Want some fruit, Xiaoxiao?”

Xiao Yuting picked up a plate of fruit and offered it to Bai Xiaoxiao.

Bai Xiaoxiao shook her head, glancing toward the kitchen. At this distance, as long as they kept their voices down, the kitchen couldn’t hear them.

“You mentioned earlier that you know Xu Wanqi?”

Bai Xiaoxiao dislikes unresolved questions.

Once she has a question, she immediately wants to understand it.

Xiao Yuting understood Bai Xiaoxiao’s nature somewhat and wasn’t surprised by her question.

“Yes, but that was years ago.”

Xiao Yuting’s eyes flickered, and there wasn’t any proud expression on his handsome face. Instead, he seemed reluctant to discuss the past.

Bai Xiaoxiao furrowed her brow, as if understanding his meaning.

The ‘years ago’ he mentioned should be during his flirtatious phase.

“Xu Wanqi isn’t one of your many romantic acquaintances, is she?”

Bai Xiaoxiao searched her memory carefully and could vaguely recall some of Xiao Yuting’s girlfriends.

But she couldn’t recall anyone named Xu Wanqi.

Xiao Yuting’s mouth twitched, showing a hint of embarrassment, “Xiaoxiao, your imagination is too vivid. Xu Wanqi isn’t one of the women I dated previously. She was just the cousin of a female host I dated before.”

“I see.”

Bai Xiaoxiao suddenly smiled.

Xiao Yuting furrowed his brows because of her smile, “Xiaoxiao, those are all past matters. If it weren’t for Xu Wanqi, I wouldn’t want to bring up those crazy times. Please don’t mock me anymore.”

If Xiao Yuting didn’t currently have feelings for Bai Xiaoxiao, he wouldn’t care.

Yet, in front of the girl he liked, recalling his past misdeeds wasn’t something Xiao Yuting could face calmly.

“I’m not mocking you.”

Bai Xiaoxiao’s smile grew brighter, “I remember you used to be quite proud of it.”

Opposite her, Xiao Yuting clasped his hands together in a gesture of supplication.

Bai Xiaoxiao laughed and changed the subject, “Alright then, what did you want to tell me about Xu Wanqi?”

“First, you tell me, did Xu Wanqi visit you today because of Meng Ke?”

Xiao Yuting avoided answering with a question, which made Bai Xiaoxiao frown in displeasure.

“I don’t need to tell you.”

Xiao Yuting’s handsome face darkened slightly, but he took a deep breath and managed to compose his emotions.

In the past, if Bai Xiaoxiao spoke to him like this, he would have been furious.

He raised the corners of his lips, speaking confidently, “Xiaoxiao, even if you don’t tell me, I know Xu Wanqi is in love with Meng Ke.”
