Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1656: Chapter 1655: What Do Women Like?

Luo Haofeng stayed in G City for three days, then returned to City B.

Ever since the afternoon she saw him in Gu Kai’s office, Bai Xiaoxiao hadn’t seen Luo Haofeng again.

After work that day, she went to the hospital to see Bai Yiyi and only then heard that Luo Haofeng had already gone back.

“Xiaoxiao, didn’t you know?”

Seeing Bai Xiaoxiao’s surprised expression, Wen Ran blinked and asked with concern.

Bai Xiaoxiao gave the peeled orange to Tongtong to eat, pulled a faint smile, and said, “I didn’t know. I haven’t seen him since.”

“I thought he would call or send you a message before he left, but it’s also okay this way.”

Wen Ran said softly, a hint of worry flashing in her gaze as she looked at Bai Xiaoxiao.

Bai Xiaoxiao handed Wen Ran a piece of the orange, speaking lightly, “These oranges are really sweet, Ranran, you should try it.”

“It’s really sweet.”

Wen Ran nodded with a smile after tasting it.

Bai Xiaoxiao gave the rest to Tongtong, “Ranran, Yiyi, I’m heading home now.”

“Mo Xiuchen and my brother will be here soon, don’t you want to have dinner together?” Wen Ran was puzzled by Bai Xiaoxiao’s sudden decision to go home.

“No, I’ll go home and have dinner with my parents.”

“Alright then.”

Wen Ran thought of something and did not try to persuade Bai Xiaoxiao to stay. Instead, she saw her out of the ward, watching her leave.

City B

In the Luo Group’s top-floor CEO office, the black-and-white-themed space was softly lit by bright crystal lights, illuminating the man behind the desk.

His handsome eyebrows looked deep and defined under the light.

The thin lips pressed into a firm line of determination.

Between his stern brows, there was a hint of cool indifference as the fountain pen’s tip scratched across the paper, producing a faint sound. The name Luo Haofeng appeared firmly and gracefully on the document.

Just as the melodious ringtone filled the air, he finished signing, closed the document, and put the pen back into the holder.

Unhurriedly, he took out his phone and answered the call.

“Ah Feng, don’t be late for the arranged date tonight.”

The voice on the phone was Mother Luo’s.

Luo Haofeng rubbed his temples with a raised hand, his tall frame leaning back against the chair, and answered somewhat tiredly, “Mom, I know, I’ll head over soon.”

“Good, I just worry you’ll be too busy and forget.”

Mother Luo chuckled happily on the other side of the phone, pleased with how Luo Haofeng had been listening to her advice recently.

“I won’t forget, I’m getting off work now.”

“Then you hurry and leave work, I won’t keep you any longer.”

After hanging up, Luo Haofeng dialed the internal line…

A moment later, Secretary Qiao Siyi knocked and entered, carrying a document with a smile as she approached his desk, “President, please sign this.”

Luo Haofeng took the document, glanced at it, and said plainly, “After you get off work tonight, prepare a gift for me.”

“President, what kind of gift?”

Qiao Siyi asked, a bit confused.

“Just buy whatever women tend to like.”

Luo Haofeng replied casually, picking up a pen to sign.

Qiao Siyi blinked, curiously asking, “President, is it for your girlfriend?”

“Continuing with these blind dates just wastes time and energy.”

Implying that he wanted to decide on tonight’s blind date as his partner. During breakfast, Mother Luo had introduced the family background and status of tonight’s date.

Qiao Siyi was momentarily stunned.

Seeing Luo Haofeng’s indifferent expression, she instinctively pressed her lips together before pulling up a smile and softly saying, “I will prepare the gift tonight.”

“There’s no need for it to be too expensive, just within two thousand yuan will do.”

As he handed the signed document back to Qiao Siyi, Luo Haofeng added indifferently.

On Qiao Siyi’s pretty face, a trace of surprise flickered; when did the President become so frugal?

“You can go now.”

Hearing these words, Qiao Siyi quickly returned a smile, “Alright, President.”

When Luo Haofeng arrived at the blind date’s location, the other party had not yet arrived.

But Qiao Siyi called, “President, can I ask if you know what the lady likes?”

Luo Haofeng slightly furrowed his brows, “I don’t know; I haven’t met her yet.”

“Huh?”

Qiao Siyi was startled on the other end of the line.

Not having met yet, she quickly caught on, “You’re on a blind date now, and you haven’t even met the other party before deciding to date her; don’t you think this might…”

“She’s here, let’s do this, don’t buy the gift for now. I’ll call you later and let you know.”

Luo Haofeng had seen the photo previously. When Tian Ruoyi entered the restaurant, he recognized her immediately.

“Hello, is this Mr. Luo?”

Tian Ruoyi approached Luo Haofeng, asking with a polite smile.

Luo Haofeng stood up and extended his hand to her, “Hello, Miss Tian, I am Luo Haofeng.”

After shaking hands, they sat down.

Luo Haofeng called over the server and let Tian Ruoyi order the dishes.

Tian Ruoyi smiled, took the menu, ordered two vegetarian dishes, and handed the menu back to Luo Haofeng.

After ordering, and once the server left, Tian Ruoyi straightened herself and apologized, “Mr. Luo, there’s something I need to clarify first.”

“What is it, please go ahead, Miss Tian.”

Luo Haofeng was slightly surprised inside, but the smile on his lips remained as he looked at Tian Ruoyi warmly.

Tian Ruoyi hesitated for a moment, as if organizing her words in her mind, then calmly said after two seconds, “Coming to this blind date tonight wasn’t my idea; it was my parents who insisted. I’m just here to appease them. I’d heard some rumors about Mr. Luo before, and I assume Mr. Luo is also forced into this blind date, right?”

“I’m here of my own will.”

Luo Haofeng’s answer took Tian Ruoyi by surprise.

Her eyes widened in disbelief.

“Mr. Luo, then I apologize, as I currently have no plans for a relationship, so…”

“Miss Tian, may I ask you a few questions?”

Luo Haofeng narrowed his long eyes sharply, suppressing his smile, interrupting Tian Ruoyi.

Feeling guilty, Tian Ruoyi nodded without hesitation, “Please go ahead, Mr. Luo. I will answer what I can.”

Luo Haofeng suddenly smiled.

He didn’t mishear; Tian Ruoyi had said she would answer what she could.

So, if it’s something she can’t answer, asking would be pointless.

“Why is Mr. Luo smiling?”

Seeing him smile, Tian Ruoyi couldn’t help but slightly furrow her delicate brows.

Luo Haofeng shook his head, “I find Miss Tian to be an interesting person. Miss Tian, you said you were forced into this blind date, so can I understand that if you don’t succeed in any one of these dates, you’ll keep being pushed to them?”

Tian Ruoyi’s expression changed slightly.

Luo Haofeng’s direct words made her feel a bit displeased.

“Yes.”

She pursed her lips but still responded.

Luo Haofeng looked at that hint of stubbornness on her face, and unconsciously, a different stubborn face appeared in his mind.

He smiled gently, “So, Miss Tian doesn’t want a relationship now because you’re not interested in men, or do you already have a man you like?”
