Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”I, I just, just looked around at the doorway and then got lost for a while...” Avery Jane recalled Nora Thompson’s instructions, she couldn’t tell Joshua Hughes that she met someone today who told her many things, turning her world upside down instantly. She couldn’t ask him if he was truly her husband, couldn’t ask who Lucas Yates was. Whether these things were true or false, she could only slowly find the answers herself, but would the truth be something she couldn’t accept?

She was truly frightened, like a lost little animal, as Joshua Hughes led her into the room, everyone else retreated.

It was definitely not the room they had initially booked, a special offer room for two thousand five hundred might not even allow them to sit on such a sofa; this was a room Joshua Hughes booked.

Avery Jane looked at Joshua Hughes, the transparent glass allowed the outside light to pour in well, it was very high here, high enough to be dizzying, with fragmented rays of light spilling down from the clouds, seemingly shining onto him in that way, the air carried his scent, still that familiar and charming smell, but today it smelled different.

Avery Jane raised her eyes, slowly and carefully examining the man in front of her. She wanted to see him clearly, to look through his handsome exterior into his heart. Did he love her? What kind of things had happened between them? The helpless sorrow and heartache began to invade her again.

Perhaps because he wasn’t doing business, he changed into casual clothes, a loose top with the collar open, revealing a hint of muscular, sexy chestnut-toned chest muscles, was he the type she liked? His eyes were dark as ink, with thick, long eyebrows, under the aristocratic nose, thin lips that were sexy and sharp. Even just wearing casual clothes, she could feel the fierce Beast hidden beneath his handsome appearance, there was always a kind of vigorous, terrifying, unstoppable and irresistible force on him, ready to destroy her, or destroy the world....

:”Why did you leave, Avery, you really shouldn’t have....” Joshua Hughes sighed lowly, warm breath swirling above her head.

:”I just wanted to go out for a walk by myself....”

:”If you want to play, I can accompany you.” Joshua Hughes felt a bit helpless, should he lock up even her ID and passport, making sure she couldn’t go anywhere? But he couldn’t do that, if he did Avery Jane would be even more suspicious of him.

:”I want to play with colleagues, I want a life space like normal people, I don’t want someone always following behind me all day.” Avery Jane lifted her gaze to meet his, bravely speaking her thoughts.

Was she tired of facing him day and night? Was she tired of her world only having him? It seemed that the only person drowning in their world for two was him, she still didn’t put him in her heart, at least not in the most important, special place. Heart fiercely aching once, pressing against her forehead: ”You can’t, Avery, after following me your world can only be me, nothing else.” Let him be domineering once more, if he weren’t a bit tougher she would walk even further away, giving her enough freedom but still couldn’t stop her yearning for the blue sky, so only by breaking her wings that could fly, letting her stay by his side, he was lonely, so he needed her company, needed her to give her heart to him without reservation....

:”What are you saying?” Avery Jane looked at him in surprise, did she not even have the right to go out for a walk?

:”You’re not wrong, Avery, in the future wherever you want to play, anywhere in the world I can accompany you, but listen carefully, it can only be me.” Joshua Hughes’ deep voice carried an irresistible command, causing Avery Jane’s lips to tremble: ”I don’t want, I don’t want this.”

She didn’t want, she didn’t want it like this; she hadn’t figured out their past, she hadn’t figured out if he was really her husband, her mind was a mess now, but still he pressed closer step by step, this life was suffocating her.

:”Do you think anyone would dare come out and play with you?” His voice was light, but it landed on Avery Jane’s heart like a rock.

:”What did you do to Emma White?” Avery Jane looked at him with wide eyes, almost immediately understanding the meaning in his words.
