Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

Joshua Hughes asked himself in his heart, could he let her go?

Looking at her, she would never know how captivating she was when she smiled at him at ease, when she laid her head on his chest speaking, and even when she fell asleep unguarded. His slender fingers gently caressed her cheek, ”Avery, you must take care of yourself...”

His gentle voice seemed meant to wake her up; he was waiting for her to awaken, as if waiting for a judgment.

Outside the door stood two bodyguards. Joshua Hughes walked out of the ward, his eyes as cold as ice, ”Go find Brian Yates and capture him for me.”

Maybe because of Avery Jane, he hadn’t gone to extremes. He just wanted to vent for her, but they had grown audacious, daring to touch his bottom line. The Yates Family had better pray that Avery Jane couldn’t recall the past, otherwise let them all go to Inferno together.

In a southern small town, the climate was humid. In front of an independent courtyard, several cars parked, and more than ten bodyguards in black got out, moving with expressionless indifference.

A few people guarded the entrance while another quickly flipped over the wall, entered the yard, and opened the door. Because someone had been following them, keeping track of their every move, capturing them wasn’t difficult.

Because Mr. Hughes ordered to bring them over as quickly as possible, a private plane was mobilized. Evelyn’s belly was already big, and she resisted thinking, ”I can’t fly now, the air pressure is too high. What if I give birth up in the air?”

She clutched her stomach, this child was her hope for the latter half of life, no mistake could occur. Even if the Hughes hated her, this child carried the Hughes bloodline, and that couldn’t be erased.

”Mr. Hughes’s instruction is to bring you over.” The bodyguard’s meaning was clear; they only listened to Mr. Hughes, caring for nothing else.

Brian Yates stood in front of Evelyn Yates, ”Do you know it’s illegal for Joshua Hughes to capture us like this?” He hated himself for being powerless, unable to protect the Yates Family, his sister, or Avery Jane, only watching his beloved girl submit to such a fake devil.

The bodyguard said nothing more. Harper Johnson, because of his antics along the way, was bound tightly by the bodyguards, even having his mouth sealed with cloth strips. One person carried Harper Johnson and threw him onto a seat in the cabin, then swiftly brought Evelyn Yates and Brian Yates onto the plane.

The enormous plane, with a golden ”H” shining brightly under the sunlight on the fuselage, exuded a domineering aura...

Avery Jane was still in a deep sleep, seemingly unaffected by the outside world, her innocent childlike appearance made it seem as if she wasn’t unconscious, just asleep.

In the hospital’s conference room, the door was tightly closed, with two bodyguards standing outside like gatekeepers, making one wonder what was happening inside.

Evelyn Yates looked at the man sitting at the center of the conference room. His eyes were cold, his fist clenched tightly, the knuckles showing dreadful white, thin lips pursed, his whole being seemed to be on the edge of eruption, the ink-colored eyes gleaming with bloodthirsty scarlet light.

His presence was what she missed day and night, but he brought her here today not to rekindle old flames, because his look made her feel like a bucket of cold water was poured from head to toe. Even wearing such thick warm cotton clothing couldn’t keep the cold from invading, his demeanor was bone-chilling.

”Did you put the photo in Avery Jane’s bag?” Joshua Hughes looked at Brian Yates, his slightly lean body trying to straighten more, but successive blows had almost broken his will, his eyes lacking past ambition.

”What are you afraid of?” Brian Yates guessed correctly, it was indeed Joshua Hughes who feared Avery Jane remembering everything from the past.

”It should be you who’s afraid.” Joshua Hughes coldly looked at him, the buttons on his black suit flashing a cold light, the ”H” symbolizing unrivaled wealth and power seemed to mock him.

”Left the number? What are you trying to do? Tell her everything about the past, tell her you’ve always loved her? Do you think she would love you?” The deep eyes of the man carried a faint murderous aura, as if just a gentle touch would make it spread at the fastest speed.
