Medical and Martial God

”I advise you to be kind,” Ye Xiu reminded Peng Fei.

Peng Fei’s eyes were bloodshot and his breathing was rapid; he looked like a madman. He released his grip on Ye Xiu’s collar and seized his throat with both hands, ranting furiously, ”I’ve finally figured it out. To get rich, you first have to become an unscrupulous villain. Kid, you’re my big chance, my stepping stone.”

With that, he put all his strength into his hands, trying to strangle Ye Xiu to death. Seeing this, Ling Wei and Tang Xinig sighed in relief. Although murder was illegal, no one would ever know as long as they cleaned up properly. Besides, they were strangers to Ye Xiu, so the Patrol Officer would never suspect them.

”What’s going on? Why can’t I crush your neck...?” Peng Fei exerted his full strength to strangle Ye Xiu but found his hands were gripping a steel pipe; no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn’t budge.

”You’ve missed your only chance to live,” Ye Xiu said, extending a hand and lightly tapping Peng Fei over the heart. Peng Fei instantly crumpled to the floor like a deflated ball, limp and lifeless. He was dead!

”This...” Ling Wei and Tang Xinig were completely bewildered. How could Peng Fei, who had been moments from strangling Ye Xiu, suddenly collapse from a single touch of his finger?

”What happened to him?” Ling Wei asked.

”See for yourself,” Ye Xiu replied coldly.

Ling Wei hurried over and crouched down, calling Peng Fei’s name. When he didn’t respond, she placed a finger under his nostrils and realized he was no longer breathing.

”Ah!” Ling Wei shrieked, collapsing to the floor. ”You... you... you killed him?”

What? Tang Xinig’s face paled instantly. Already on the floor, she crawled over to check Peng Fei’s breath and was so terrified she nearly fainted.

”Whores are heartless, actors are faithless. Tang Xinig, you are the living proof,” Ye Xiu said, grabbing her by the neck and lifting her into the air. His voice was as cold as ice. ”You were Ling’er’s classmate and roommate. She called you Sister Ning and trusted you like family, but you betrayed her for your own career. You deserve to die!”

”Don’t kill me! Please, don’t kill me!” Tang Xinig shrieked in terror. Her body trembled violently, and a warm liquid streamed down her long, shapely legs from her shorts. She had wet herself in fear.

”People like you only make the world a filthier place.” With a crisp snap, Ye Xiu, like an Envoy from Hell, sent Tang Xinig to her doom.

”Ah!” Seeing Ye Xiu kill Tang Xinig as well, Ling Wei screamed again, pleading in a panic, ”Don’t kill me! I have money, lots of money! I’ll give it all to you! Please, don’t kill me! I-I’ll never do it again! I’ll apologize to Ye Lin’er! I’ll give her all my connections! Just don’t kill me, I beg you!”

SNAP! Ye Xiu broke Ling Wei’s neck.

Anyone who harms my sister deserves to die.

Just then, two cold-faced young men walked in, carrying Shen Mumu and Tong Zhiyi, and laid them on the bed. One of them said, ”Young Master, we’ve knocked out the driver and the two bodyguards.”

Ye Xiu nodded. ”Ling Wei is a celebrity with tons of rabid fans. Her murder would cause a huge uproar. Stage a car accident to make her death look natural, and include Tang Xinig. As for Peng Fei, just dispose of the body.”

With that, he left. He didn’t wait for Ye Lin’er to sober up, nor did he intend to tell her what happened.

It was too sordid. He didn’t want such filth to tarnish the blank slate that was Ye Lin’er.

Back in his car, Ye Xiu called Ding Manlin, the Vice Chairman of Zhulu Group. ”Acquire Ye Lin’er’s talent agency. Also, pick someone clever from our ranks to be her assistant. Don’t let Ling’er know about any of this.”

Ding Manlin replied, ”Understood.”

At that moment, evening was falling on Biluo Island. Qin Qing and Leng Yue arrived at the seaside in Xue Man and An Bai’s car.

”What are you two doing at the seaside at this hour?” Xue Man asked, displeased.

”If you didn’t want to come, you could have left,” Qin Qing retorted.

Xue Man fell silent. She couldn’t leave; she and An Bai had to stick with Qin Qing and Leng Yue to prevent the two ”bandits” from causing trouble on Biluo Island.

Qin Qing and Leng Yue walked along the beach, appearing to take a leisurely stroll, but they were discreetly observing the Sea Area surrounding the island. A cargo ship passed by in the distance.

Qin Qing and Leng Yue silently clicked their tongues in amazement. The Formation was truly magical. Standing on the island, they could see the passing ship, yet the people on board couldn’t see Biluo Island.

”What is that?” Leng Yue pointed to a steel tower standing in the sea several hundred meters from the beach. It was a hundred meters tall and exquisitely etched with strange patterns. Yet its presence in the sea seemed completely abnormal.

”You don’t need to know,” Xue Man said indifferently.

SLAP! Leng Yue turned and slapped Xue Man, who was following behind. ”I’ll give you one more chance to rephrase that.”

Xue Man gasped in anger but clenched her jaw and remained silent.

Seeing this, Leng Yue didn’t press further. ”You’ve completely ruined my good mood. Qin Qing, shall we head back?”

”Alright,” Qin Qing nodded.

Xue Man and An Bai were secretly delighted that they were finally leaving. They immediately took the lead, heading back toward the car.

Following behind, Leng Yue quietly took out the Stone Mirror and sent a detailed description of the tower to Ye Xiu. Soon, Ye Xiu replied, ”That’s a formation base. Find out how many of those towers surround Biluo Island, what they look like, and what patterns are carved on them. Report back to me when you have a clear picture.”

”Understood!” Leng Yue put away the Stone Mirror and said, ”Xue Man, is there a library on Biluo Island?”

Xue Man and An Bai’s eyes lit up. They figured that if they could get the two bandits engrossed in some books, they wouldn’t have time to cause trouble.

”There is. Shall we take you there now?” Xue Man asked.

”Yes,” Leng Yue nodded.

Ye Xiu returned home and sat on the sofa, mulling over Leng Yue’s description of the tower. Gradually, an image of it formed in his mind. He got some paper and a pen and sketched the tower he had imagined.

”Chloe, bring those two men here,” Ye Xiu ordered.

”Right away!” Chloe immediately went to the basement and brought up two middle-aged men.

They were none other than Zhuang Yan and Zhuang Jiawei, the two men who had helped Xue Man and An Bai kidnap Qin Qing and Leng Yue. Kristina still had no idea that after Zhuang Yan and Zhuang Jiawei had taken Qin Qing, Leng Yue, Xue Man, and An Bai to the airport, they had been captured alive by Mo Luo.

”Ye Xiu, how dare you treat us like this? Aren’t you afraid the Princess will kill Qin Qing and Leng Yue?” Zhuang Yan demanded angrily.

Ye Xiu smiled coldly. ”Kristina will never find out that you two are in my hands.”

Zhuang Yan and Zhuang Jiawei were at a loss for words. Zhuang Jiawei asked, ”You captured us but didn’t kill us. What exactly do you want?”

Ye Xiu held up the drawing of the tower. ”Do you recognize this?”

”This...” Zhuang Yan and Zhuang Jiawei’s expressions changed drastically, but they quickly recovered their composure. ”We don’t recognize it.”
