Medical and Martial God

Ye Xiu looked at Kristina’s smug, punchable expression. She clearly had the upper hand, with everything under her control. How should I act now to make this believable?

In a flash, Ye Xiu shot to his feet, his killing intent palpable as he said, ”You’re asking to die!”

Unafraid, Kristina retorted, ”If I die, your precious first and second wives won’t live either.”

”You...” Ye Xiu looked as if she had hit him where it hurt, glaring at Kristina for a long moment. He then feigned compromise, his face still a mask of fury. ”What do you want from me?” he asked.

Kristina smiled. Seeing the fury on Ye Xiu’s face gave her a sudden thrill of vengeance; the feeling was absolutely exhilarating. ”Help me deal with the Restorer Alliance!” she said.

”And then?”

Ye Xiu looked at Kristina. Her pretty face was in no way inferior to Gong Jin’s, and her smile was as radiant as sunshine—a beauty that made one’s heart tremble. Combined with her wavy golden hair and deep blue eyes, she possessed a unique, foreign charm.

”That’s it.” Kristina’s stoic expression returned.

”So, you mean that apart from dealing with the Restorer Alliance, you won’t restrict me from doing anything else, right?” Ye Xiu confirmed.

”That’s right,” Kristina nodded.

”Swear on it,” Ye Xiu demanded, his expression full of distrust.

Kristina took a deep, impatient breath and recited perfunctorily, ”I, Kristina, swear to the heavens. If I ask Ye Xiu to do anything besides help me deal with the Restorer Alliance, or if I limit his freedom in any way, may I be struck down by lightning and suffer a miserable death.”

Ye Xiu nodded. It was time to state his conditions. ”Fine, I’ll help you deal with the Restorer Alliance, but you must guarantee Qin Qing and Leng Yue’s safety.”

”Of course!” Kristina nodded.

Ye Xiu continued, ”They must video call me every three days. If I find out they’ve been injured or aren’t being treated well within the three Judicator Families, I will kill you.”

This condition was like a life insurance policy for Qin Qing and Leng Yue. As long as he was alive and continued to display his formidable power, the three Judicator Families wouldn’t dare to harm them.

”Even if I cripple them, would you dare to kill me?” Kristina scoffed.

”At worst, we’ll all go down together,” Ye Xiu replied, his posture showing he was ready to risk it all.

Kristina frowned. It suddenly dawned on her that if Qin Qing and Leng Yue suffered even the slightest harm within the three Judicator Families, Ye Xiu might genuinely stop caring whether they lived or died. He could go all out, kill her, and make an enemy of the three Judicator Families.

”Fine. I agree to your terms,” Kristina nodded.

Ye Xiu breathed a sigh of relief and turned to leave.

Kristina was taken aback. ”Where are you going?”

”Is that any of your business?” Ye Xiu retorted.

”You haven’t given me any money yet. How am I supposed to eat or stay in a hotel?” Kristina asked.

Ye Xiu sneered, ”You just swore that I don’t need to do anything else for you besides helping with the Restorer Alliance.”

Kristina stood there, dumbfounded. She suddenly realized Ye Xiu had tricked her into making that oath. She had fallen for it! That bastard! He’s so deceitful!

”I order you to leave Yunluo City within three days and head to Nanjing. Within one month, you will eliminate every last Restorer Alliance member lurking there,” Kristina said through gritted teeth.

”Alright,” Ye Xiu shrugged and sauntered off. The moment he was out of the hotel, he eagerly pulled out his phone and opened an app.

A world map soon appeared on the screen, displaying two moving red dots—the trackers on Qin Qing and Leng Yue. These allowed Ye Xiu to monitor their locations in real-time.

...

Qin Qing and Leng Yue were taken to an airport. Two middle-aged women carried them onto a private jet that was waiting, while the two middle-aged men did not board.

After the plane took off, the two women unlocked Qin Qing and Leng Yue’s acupoints.

”Is this... is this a plane? You... where are you taking Leng Yue and me?” Qin Qing asked, feigning panic as she ”woke up.”

In reality, neither she nor Leng Yue had been knocked unconscious by the Acupoint Sealing. It was all an act, as Ye Xiu had taught them how to ignore its effects.

”We’re taking you to the three Judicator Families,” one of the women sneered. ”From now on, you’re hostages. If Ye Xiu doesn’t obediently follow the little princess’s orders, you’ll die.”

So our lives aren’t in immediate danger. Qin Qing suddenly relaxed. ”What are your names?” she asked.

The two women couldn’t understand why Qin Qing was no longer frightened or panicked after learning she was a hostage. One of them said, ”We are both guards for the little princess. My name is Xueman, and she’s An Bai.”

Qin Qing silently memorized their names, then suddenly put on the airs of a young mistress. ”Xueman,” she commanded, ”go pour a glass of red wine for me and Leng Yue. An Bai, my legs are a bit numb. Come over and massage them for me.”

Xueman and An Bai almost laughed out loud. Xueman said sarcastically, ”Qin Qing, don’t forget your current situation. You’re a hostage. What right do you have to order us around?”

Qin Qing shrugged. ”If Ye Xiu finds out that people from the three Judicator Families are treating Leng Yue and me poorly, what do you think he’ll do to Kristina in his rage?”

The expressions on Xueman and An Bai’s faces changed instantly. They had already received a text message from Kristina and knew about the conditions Ye Xiu had set. If Qin Qing mentioned during her video call with Ye Xiu that they were being treated poorly, who knew what sort of crazy thing he might do.

”Okay, just a moment!” Xueman gritted her teeth and forced a thin smile.

Meanwhile, An Bai, her face dark, began massaging Qin Qing’s legs.

Qin Qing and Leng Yue exchanged a look, the heavy weight in their hearts finally lifting.

In fact, my whole demanding act was just a test to see if Kristina had accepted Ye Xiu’s conditions. It looks like they’ve reached an agreement! That means we can give the three Judicator Families as much trouble as we want. After all, Ye Xiu bought us an insurance policy!

At eleven in the morning, Qin Qing commanded, ”I’m hungry. Go prepare our lunch. I want a steak, cooked medium, with a side of salad, a dessert, and a glass of red wine. Leng Yue, what are you having?”

Leng Yue thought for a moment. ”I’ll have two spicy shredded pork sandwiches, extra spicy, an order of chili chicken, and some scrambled eggs with tomato. That should be all.”

Xueman and An Bai were stunned. Did we kidnap two hostages? No, we freaking kidnapped two demanding matriarchs!

Xueman took a deep breath. ”We don’t have the ingredients for shredded pork sandwiches, chili chicken, or tomatoes on the plane.”

SLAP!

Leng Yue raised her hand and slapped Xueman across the face. ”If you don’t have it, then go buy it.”

Xueman was furious. Lady, we’re in the middle of the sky! Where the hell do you expect me to go shopping?
