Understanding this, you decide to follow the old man to find out more about the being sealed so close to your sect.] [Investigate the Four Ancient Dao Seals: 4/4] [Reward: Increase Comprehension of the Dao of Formations and Dao of Light]

[Redeem Reward: Y/N]

Yes!

As the system panel showing the completed quest appeared in front of him, Xuan Hao directly redeemed the reward, curious about how the system would increase his comprehension of the Dao of Formations and the Dao of Light.

Would it be a direct increase like the one he had experienced in the past during the time that the system helped increase his cultivation realm or would it place him inside a special system space like had happened in the past when he received a comprehension related reward from the system.

Whoosh-!

Not even a second after he finished his thoughts, Xuan Hao promptly disappeared from his original location. Soon finding himself inside of the familiar system space for comprehending the dao. ”Hm? Sunflowers?” The only difference compared to the past being that there wasn’t any barrier around to protect him. Instead found himself in the middle of an endless field of sunflowers with the sun shining down on him from above. At the very least, compared to when the system had helped him comprehend the dao in the past, the Dao present in the sunflower field was far gentler compared to the past. Of course, it could also just be that his strength had increased enough for him to survive without the help of the barrier protecting him. Although he doubted that when he remembered the Dao of Corruption eroding everything in sight. Even if he reached the Profound Immortal Realm, he doubted he would be able to walk freely in the corrupted space where the Dao of Corruption reigned supreme.

With this in mind, the only reason he could walk around in the dao space of the system should be because the system was protecting him in some way or the area, he was at was a lower level dao space compared to the ones he had been to in the past.

Although this might mean that it would take longer to comprehend the dao in such a space, it would at least be safer and allow him to feel the presence of the dao in the place more clearly.

Whoosh~

As he thought about this, Xuan Hao sat down amidst the field of sunflowers before trying to grasp the dao power present in the air all around. Even though he had already guessed that the space he was in should be related to the Dao of Light given the environment, he still had to make sure…

”Huh?” However, after investigating the situation with his divine sense, he could not help opening both of his eyes in shock. ”The sunflower field is actually a formation!? Not only that, but it incorporates both the Dao of Formation and the Dao of Light!”

Indeed, the entire field of sunflowers was one giant formation that perfectly incorporated the Dao of Light. Not only that, but the Dao of Light and the Dao of Formations even showed signs of having merged together into some kind of unknown dao through the formation.

”So, this place is not just to comprehend the Dao of Light, but also the Dao of Formations? How amazing… but… Is there perhaps not a time limit like last time? More importantly, how will I leave this place if there isn’t a time limit?” Muttering this to himself as he looked around the field of sunflowers that seemed to transform into an endless sea of yellow in the distance, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit worried when he realized that he had no idea how to leave the system space.

Even if he comprehended the Dao of Light and the Dao of Formations to a level similar to what was displayed through the sunflower field formation, it would be useless if he ended up unable to leave the system space…

[Enlightenment Space will remain open until the Small Success Realm in the Dao of Formations and Dao of Light is archived.] [Enlightenment Space will be adjusted accordingly when comprehension of one of the two Daos reaches the Small Success Realm.] [Time inside the Enlightenment Space has been adjusted.]

[Current Time Ratio: 1:200]

[Warning: If no significant progress in the Dao of Light and Dao of Formations is detected, the Enlightenment Space will be closed.]

Just at this moment, the several messages from the system popped up in front of him. Informing him about his current situation, while at the same time allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief. Although it didn’t seem like the system planned to give him a chance to take advantage of the flow of time inside the Enlightenment Space being slowed down to focus on his other Daos and rapidly increase his strength nor give him a chance to only focus on one of the two Daos of the Enlightenment Space, Xuan Hao didn’t feel sad.

Even though the system didn’t directly increase his comprehension of the two Daos, it would essentially be the same considering that only a few days would pass outside while he comprehended the Dao of Light and the Dao of Formations to the Small Success Realm…

”I guess I should get started. After all, I have no idea what the significant progress mentioned by the system entails…” Shaking his head as he muttered this to himself, Xuan Hao didn’t dare slack off as he sat back down on the soft grass hidden beneath the field of sunflowers before closing his eyes to comprehend the two distinct Daos present all around him.

…

Bang!

RUMBLE-!

At the same time Xuan Hao began the process of comprehending the Dao of Light and the Dao of Formations, the entrance to the underground space that had housed the seal just a short time ago was forcefully broken apart as a large amount of water rushed in to fill the space.

Whoosh-!

Following the large amount of water rushing into the space from above, the figure of the person behind the destruction of the entrance to the seal arrived above the ancient ruins that had been left behind.

If Xuan Hao had been there, he would immediately have recognized this person as the General of the East Sea Army that he had happened to encounter during his last trip to the blue Sea Empire.

”Huh? Nothing…?” Floating above the ruins that had now been covered in water, the general could not help frowning to himself as he discovered nothing of interest in the underground space.

Even though the ancient ruins had been made from high quality spiritual stones mixed with different spiritual metals, they had long since lost their former luster and were no different than ordinary rocks due to the constant corrosion of the dark miasma that had covered them for a long time.

”Was I wrong? Isn’t there something more to this place? The hidden entrance alone should mean something is hidden here… Or has it perhaps already been taken? After all, if the entrance opens periodically every few dozen or hundreds of years like it should have today, it should have been discovered by others long ago…” Muttering this to himself as he arrived at the lowest point of the underground space where the being in the dark miasma had originally been restrained when the seal had been at its full strength, the general frowned unhappily.

Having discovered the earlier disturbance at the river, he rushed over and discovered the hidden entrance just a short time after it closed. Thinking it might hold a treasure or be a hidden tomb of a past expert, he had originally been excited to enter the place.

However, reality was often cruel and after entering the place, he found nothing of value. Only a few ancient ruins that couldn’t be used for anything.

”Hm?”

With this in mind, the general was just about to leave disheartened when he discovered a book in the corner of the room located at the bottom of the hole in the middle of the underground space.

”This is… A cultivation technique?”

Picking up the book and examining it up close, the general could not help feeling a bit surprised as he realized that it was a cultivation technique. Although he had no idea about the quality of the cultivation technique, he was certain that it shouldn’t be a low quality one considering that it was inside an ancient ruin. Even if it wasn’t useful to him, an ancient cultivation technique would definitely be highly valuable and could be sold.

Whoosh~!

Thinking about this, the general felt a renewed sense of happiness as he put the cultivation technique into his interspatial ring before turning around to leave the underground space before it filled up with water.
